A Study on UV-LED for sterilization and mood lighting of air conditioner outlet (에어컨 토출구 살균조명용 UV-LED 에 관한 연구)

  • 본 논문은 에어컨 토출구 살균조명용 UV-LED 에 관한 연구이다. 서론에서는 에어컨 토출구에 증식하는 곰팡이의 문제점과 원인에 대해 조사 분석함으로써 연구의 목적을 설명하였다. 본론에서는 내부를 살균하며 동시에 무드조명의 역할을 수행함으로써 얻을 수 있는 장점과 작동방식에 대하여 설명하고, 가능성을 확인하기 위한 실험을 계획하였다. 실험계획과 실험결과에서는 이전 다른 실험과의 차이점과 실험계획을 설명하고, 실험결과에 대해 설명하며 이번 실험에서의 한계점 및 보안할 점도 함께 설명하였다. UV-LED 의 설치 위치를 예시를 들며 설명하였다. 결론에서는 본 논문에서 설명한 연구의 내용을 종합하고, 향후 연구의 진행방향과 추가적으로 필요한 실험 및 적절한 UV-LED 의 파장선택에 대해서 기술하였다.

Numerical Study on Variations in the Sealing Performance of Air Curtains in Large-Scale Factory Opening Considering Various Design Factors (대형 공장 개구부용 에어커튼의 설계 인자에 따른 차단 성능 변화에 대한 전산해석 연구)

  • In large-scale factories, there are usually openings in the building to increase the efficiency of workers. However, if the factory is heated during winter, openings significantly increase the heating load. Therefore, there is a need for air curtains to be installed at the top of openings in factories to reduce the heating load due to the cold air entering from outside. The main design variables of these air curtains are the discharge angle, speed, and temperature, etc. While there have already been many studies focusing on these design variables, the distance from the opening and the width of the discharge have not been studied even though they also affect the sealing performance. As a result, when the distance from the opening decreases and the width of the discharge increases, we realize an optimum air curtain performance. However, if the distance from the opening is about 1.5 m, by adjusting the discharge angle and the distance from the opening, the sealing performance of the air curtain is improved by 13.7%.

  • 본 글은 가전제품의 안전성, 고급화 및 기능의 차별화를 목적으로 Auto Louver를 설치하는 경우에 있어서 부수적으로 발생하는 2차적 소음에 대해 음질개선 및 소음저감 방법을 소개한다. 실험은 제품의 토출구에 안전망이 설치되고 그 뒤에 Auto Louver를 부착한 자사의 Air Cleaner를 대상으로 실시하였으며, 임의의 공기가 토출되는 조건에서 Auto Louver의 Blade 길이를 줄여 안전망과 Blade 끝단까지의 거리를 이격시킴으로서 1.2KHz-2.5KHz 주파수 대역의 SPL의 저감을 통해 음질을 개선하였고, 이로 인해 토출구로부터 1m 떨어진 위치에서의 소음 측정값을 1.1㏈A의 저감하는 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

A Study on the Optimum Design for the Discharge Port of a R410A Rotary Compressor (R410A 로타리 압축기의 토출구 최적설계에 관한 연구)

  • For a R410A-rolling piston type rotary compressor model which was modified by reducing the cylinder height and shaft eccentricity from R22-compressor version, numerical simulation has been carried out and simulation results have been found to be compared fairly well with those of measurements. EER of this first version of R410A compressor was 4.8% lower than that of R22 compressor. To improve the performance of the R410A compressor model, parametric study on the design parameters related to the discharge port system has been performed by using the numerical simulation program, and optimum conditions for the highest EER have been obtained with the aid of Taguchi method. With the optimized discharge port configuration, EER has been improved by 1.7%.

  • Recent trend in pursuit of high performance and effectiveness for automotive cooling system has changed the application of material for impeller of automotive water pump from metal to high ability engineering resin, which can achieve optimization of design of impeller geometry and realize lightweight high efficiency water pump. Closed type water pump improves hydraulic loss of fluid through the clearance between volute casing and impeller compared with that of the existing open type water pump(Although closed type is heavier than open type for the same size and same material, adoption of plastics can solve the problem.). In the present study, the characteristics of hydraulic performance of closed type water pump were investigated with respect to the angle between shroud and hub of impeller and the shape of discharge port of volute casing. Performance tests were carried out for 4 cases, that is, for 2 impellers and 2 casings. The modification of shape of only discharge port can enhance the hydraulic performance by 10 percent and the pump efficiency by 4-6 percent.

  • Submerged and semi-submerged vehicles expel cooling water through an outlet. In this process, induced noise and vibration by the flow around the outlet have been reported, and it may cause problems directly related to survivability of the navy vessels. The coolant outlet has a net-type structure and circular columns are mostly used. In this study, flow measurements using PIV and LDV were performed for different type outlets; conventional (flat plate with round bar) and improved (flat and flat plate) configurations. Experiments were conducted at a cavitation tunnel where pressure and steady flow rate conditions are ensured for sufficient time to measure the flow. The average velocity field of the outlets were measured and compared through LDV measurements, and instantaneous vorticities were evaluated through PIV measurements. The results show that the improved type of the outlet is advantageous in terms of flow stability compared to the conventional type of the outlet.

  • The purpose of this paper is to numerically study the characteristics of the indoor air flow of a square ceiling type diffuser according to the vane angle and flow rate. The CFX of ANSYS 13.0 was used for the CFD tool. The size of the room is $6m(X){\times}6m(Y){\times}2.7m(Z)$. The exhaust diffuser was positioned diagonally to the supply diffuser. This diffuser was designed to have many holes, so the air supply had long throw patterns with low velocity decay. The characteristics of the indoor air flow was studied at volume flow rates of 5.1 CMM and 7.4 CMM, and a vane angle from $30^{\circ}$ to $60^{\circ}$, every $10^{\circ}$.

  • Coal ash generated from thermal power plants is planned to use for mine filling in order to prevent subsidence of the ground. In according, the basic physical properties and flow characteristics were grasped using coal ash from generated Yeongdong thermal power plant, and hydraulic filling experiments were performed a total of eight times by manufacturing the model of 1 inclined shaft in Hanbo coal mine. The specific gravity of coal ash is 2.34, and the result of particle size analysis belongs to silty sand (SM). Coal ash of weight ratio of 60% was used in the filling experiments of the model, since liquefaction have shown in coal ash less than weight ratio of 70% from the result of slump and flow test. The outlet should be located at the bottom of the inclined and vertical shaft, this was favorable way in improving the filling efficiency from the experiment results regardless of groundwater exists.
