The purpose of this study is to explore essential factors of influencing user's usage intentions on telematics services and to find relationships among factors. This study derives several variables and hypotheses through literature reviews on the extended research model based on Davis's Technology Acceptance Model. With the objective of statistical verification, derived variables were sorted into meaningful categories through various statistical packages. These were included multiple regression analysis to improve the reliability of survey data. The demand analysis was conducted by targeting on users who have previously experienced telematics services. Indicated analyzed results which 'suitability', 'localization', and 'instant connectivity' variables were positively related to the user's usage intentions, especially accuracy of information variable. The factors of influencing the usage intention on telematics services can be useful empirical data in order to analyze the market trends and to suggest industrial or political guideline of telematics services.

최근에 새롭게 출현하고 있는 텔레매틱스는 통신(telecommunication)과 정보과학(informatics)의 합성어로 무선망을 통한 음성 및 데이터 통신과 GPS을 기반으로 차량에 정보를 주고받음으로서 새로운 부가 서비스를 제공하는 기술을 의미한다. 텔레매틱스 무선 네트워크의 연결을 위해 여러 가지 통신방식이 사용되고 있으며 이동통신 기술의 발전에 따라 그 행보를 같이 하고 있다. 한편, 텔레매틱스 서비스의 중심에 있는 차량용 단말기는 이러한 여러 무선망과의 연결뿐만 아니라 위치기반 서비스, entertainment, 응급구조, office 서비스 둥을 지원하기 알맞게 설계 되야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 요구에 부합할 수 있는 임베디드 시스템을 구현하여 제시하여 본다.

무선통신 기술과 정보 기술을 이용해서 사용자 무선 단말에 다양한 정보를 제공하는 텔레매틱스 서비스는 차량 운전자, 탑승자 및 보행자 등 사용자에 따라 다양한 형태의 서비스로 진화하고 있다. 또한 무선통신망의 발전으로 인해 광대역 통신의 대용량 텔레매틱스 서비스로의 발전이 기대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 텔레매틱스 서비스 중에서 대중교통의 편리한 사용을 위한 보행자 위주의 길안내 서비스에 대해 논한다. 보행자 대중교통 안내 서비스를 위한 요구 사항을 기반으로 서비스 기능을 정의하고 서비스를 분류함으로써 보행자의 도보 및 대중교통 안내 서비스를 제안한다. 보행자 대중교통 안내 서비스는 보행자 도보 길안내 기능, 출발지와 목적지 기반의 One-Stop 대중교통 안내 기능, 대중교통 정보 제공 기능, 경로 예약 기능, 개인화 기능으로 분류할 수 있으며 각 기능의 정의 및 구성 요건들을 제안한다.

요즘 홈쇼핑 채널에선 ‘ 네비게이션’판매를 참 많이 하고 있다. 주5일근무제가 되면서 주말에 여가를 즐기는 많은 사람들이 여행의 필수품처럼 네비게이션을 구매하고 있는것. 이렇게 우리가 심심치 않게 볼 수 있는 네비게이션은 텔레매틱스의 한영역이다. 우리생활속에 있는 텔레매틱스 서비스에 대해 알아보고자 한다.

In this paper, a telematics service platform, which supports the management and diagnosis of automobile and controls the automobile's convenience equipment is designed and implemented. Using the service platform, telematics software can be developed independent of the lower part of automobiles's network devices, each hardware devices, and wireless network devices. The platform classifies each device's service and provides it with the fixed form of API(Application Programming Interface). This API consists of the wireless connection for a mobile device, the CAN network for controlling an automobile, the receiving part of GPS data for location base service, and the message parser for different data formats of different network.

국내 텔레매틱스는 2001년 민간기업이 상용화한 이래 각 기업들이 독자적으로 개발한 서비스를 고객들에게 제공하여 현재에 이르고 있다. 바야흐로 사업자들의 공격적인 마케팅으로 텔레매틱스 시장을 확장해 나아가고 있는 현 시점에서 텔레매틱스 시장은 독자적 기술을 보유한 기업을 중심으로 시장을 분할 점유하고 있어 시장 활성화에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 국내의 텔레매틱스 표준화는 유관 기관에서 다양하게 시도되고 있다. 텔레매틱스산업협회(KOTBA)에서 운영하는 텔레매틱스 표준화포럼이 민간 주도의 표준을 주도하고 있고, 단체표준 기관인 한국정보통신기술협회(TTA) 내의 텔레매틱스 프로젝트그룹(PG310)이 표준화를 추진하고 있다. 특히 민간 사업자들로 구성된 사실표준화 단체인 텔레매틱스 표준화 포럼은 국내 유일의 텔레매틱스 사실 표준화 단체로 국내 표준 활동 뿐 아니라 국제 표준단체들과의 단일 접점을 통한 교류를 통해 보다 효율적으로 국제 표준화 활동이 가능하도록 교두보 역할을 수행하기 위해 2002년 설립되었다.

본 논문에서는 자동차가 빈번하게 접근하는 주차장, 주유소, 공공장소 등 특정 로컬 핫스폿 서비스 지점에서의 UPnP 기반 텔레매틱스 서비스 발견 방식을 제안한다. 자동차 내부에 장착된 텔레매틱스 단말기와 로컬 핫스폿 서비스 지점의 게이트웨이를 무선로 연결하고, 서비스 발견 미들웨어인 UPnP를 적용하여 로컬 핫스폿 서비스 지점의 서비스를 발견하고 이용하는 방식을 제안한다. 제안된 방식은 UPnP가 포팅된 PDA 단말기와 블루투스 무선연결 상에서 주차장 관리 서비스에 적용하고 테스트한다.

텔레매틱스 기술은 운전자와 차량, 차량과 차량 외부의 정보들을 이용하여 다른 산업과의 융합이 급속히 진행되고 있으며, 다양한 서비스에 대한 요구 역시 점차 증가하는 추세이다. 최근에는 차량의 위치/궤적 정보와 같은 차량의 현재 또는 과거의 위치 정보를 분석하여 적절한 서비스를 제공해주는 VRM과 이를 상용차에 적용한 CVT 분야가 대두되고 있다. 그러나 현재 차량관련 서비스를 살펴 보면 차량의 궤적정보에 대한 분석을 기초로 하는 것이 아니라 이미 저장되어 있거나 실시간으로 생성되는 위치 관련자료를 별도의 처리 과정 없이 직접 사용자에게 전달하여 주는 자료 제공의 수준에 머무르고 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 이러한 정보를 처리/분석/가공하여 여러 가지 응용서비스에 적용하기 위한 차량기반 고객관계 관리 기술과 다양한 응용서비스를 살펴 보고,화물, 운송과 같은 물류시장에서의 텔레매틱스 기술의 응용서비스 사례와 동향에 대해서 살펴 본다.

얼마전 발표된 정보통신부의 IT산업 9대 신성장동력에 텔레메틱스(Telematics) 분야가 포함됐다. 정통부의 이번 9대 신성장동력은 우리나라의 IT산업에서 가장 성장가능성이 높은 분야들로 구성됐다는 점에서 텔레매틱스 산업의 성장가능성이 또 한번 입증된 셈이다.하지만 현실로 돌아가보면 국내 텔레매틱스 산업의 앞길은 아직 멀고 험난하기만 하다. 의욕적으로 텔레매틱스 사업에 뛰어들었던 대우자동차의 드림넷 서비스는 지난해 11월 잠정 중단됐고, 수천억원의 예산을 투입하며 '붐' 조성에 나섰던 SK그룹도 최근 힘에 부치는 형세다. 국내 텔레매틱스 산업의 현 주소와 문제점, 이에 대한 해결방한을 살펴 봤다.

In this paper, for supporting more variable services than typical DSRC, brand call service, truck and an official vehicle services, etc. using location information and mobile communication network could be adapted. emergence helping information providing, multimedia service that are wireless internet, movies and games, are increasingly needed for competible wireless car mobile terminal. Those needs would make a development a wireless telemetries system based on WiBro interface in ubiquitous vehicle environment. We analysis the proposed telematics mobile terminal using simulation which is concerned about fixed bandwidth and dynamic bandwidth.
