Korean embroidery is the long historical industrial arts of real life and has handed down Korean sentiment up to now. Korean traditional embroidered pattern is designed to wish someone's health and luck, who uses the embroidery on the clothes and the goods in real life. Especially, the ten longevity symbols' design is represented as 10 which means perfection in oriental philosophy, the sun, mountain, cloud, water, crane, rock, turtle, pine tree, the elixir of life and deer; these 10 symbols show how ancient Korean believe and wish perpetual youth. However, fiber material used embroidery relic has difficulty in preserving for long period compared to other relic descended from historical events for long time and their preserved state isn't so good owing to have been used directly in the real life. Therefore, it is essentially embossed to preserve the embroidery relic and pattern, and make DB for the data. With preservation of the pictures about the handicraft, it's necessary to preserve embroidery technique and make DB through digital imagination. Through the process, we can apply Korean embroidery image to cul-duct package and digital image related field, and it will be helpful to make the tradition popular. In this study, through the research for the embroidery technique applied pattern on the embroidery relic of ten longevity symbols, we'll establish the cultural identification of Korean embroidery image and then develop a worldwide Korean image.

In Honam province, the cultural prototype are largely unknown to the people, also the research on this subject are scarce, the artistic excellence, somewhat under evaluated, both in our country and internationally. It is imperative that we develop the modern design using this prototype. thereby apply it to many areas of cultural products. We should extend the dimension not only to the local festival but also to the mass production resulting in the commercial gains. The Unjusa Buddha festival for promoting the public relation would be greatly benefited by using the concept of the temple, the local prototype, by which we expect to create a ingenious textile design pattern, coinciding with the main purpose of this study. The ancient material around Unjusa come to be the subject of our textile design by way of selecting the most remarkable ones of heritage among the materials of Unjusa. In the long run, the harmonious contrast of both traditional and modern image were sought in this study. Designed patterns were edited using Adobe Photoshop CS3, a multi-purpose graphic program and were simulated in the towel for visual presentation. The design is of two kinds, the one is of the free style using combinations of reclining Buddha, stone Buddha, stone pagoda, and geometric patterns freely not to be standardized. The other one is mixing of lotus pattern, reclining Buddha, and geometric patterns. These designs were applied delicately on the towel, necktie and handkerchief, and the various colors were suggested by the 6 color ways. The brilliance of our traditional cultural property should be noted by these designs and I hope that this study would be a help to develop our cultural prototype and make a product of using the outstanding heritage.

The purpose of this study is to reorganize any rusty image including natural modeling characteristic presented from the natural phenomenon to certain patterns in order to create the fashion design that are valued in the expansion of independently expressional area and modeling art. As a method for research, the author analyzed the concept and characteristic for rust with a base of theoretical background by the documental research and realistic consideration, analyzed its modeling characteristic through domestic and overseas pictures, and e-documents as data, inspected the modeling activities of various categories that various images were adapted related to rust, looked into the concept of Digital Textile Printing and its producing procedure as an expressional method, and analyzed the examples of modern dress and its ornament making use of Digital Textile Printing. The conclusions of this study are as below. First, the rust occurred due to the natural phenomenon is the bond with different material like metal, each unique modeling characteristic occurs and harmony of various patterns has abundant aesthetic value. Second, the author could endowed sensible characteristic and speciality with works and could produce creative fashion design that painting, abstractive pattern and harmony of unique sense of colors are significant by using the image of rust, Third, to emphasize natural feeling of rust, the author could develop creative design that simple silhouette and impressive pattern look significant by reorganizing and applying rust according to repetition, increment, rhythm, contract, emphasis and harmony. Fourth, Digital Textile Printing method is used to induce visual effect by the expression of feels of rust, and the author could express the natural patterns, delicate expression for the feels of a material and unique design of emotion.

체력이나 건강을 위한 트레이닝이나 심장 질환자의 생체신호 모니터링을 위해 다양하게 사용되는 심전도는 현재 여러가지 장비형태로 사용되고 있다. 최근에는 착용자가 인식하지 않고 손쉽고 편안한 방법으로 측정하거나 모니터링 할 수 있는 형태의 생체신호 모니터링 의복에 관한 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 20대 남성의 체표면 분석을 통해 심전도 검출이 가능한 일체형 의복을 설계하고 제작된 시제품의 착의평가를 진행하였다. 심전도 측정이 가장 효과적인 흉부 부분을 중심으로 심전도 데이터 추출 정확성을 위해 다층구조로 센서를 설계하고, 흉부의 움직임을 최소화하여 노이즈를 감소할 수 있는 디자인을 제안한 결과, 심전도 데이터 추출 정확성 및 편의성은 향상되고 노이즈는 감소하는 결과를 도출하였다.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of design factors of woven textiles on the consumer's sensibility and emotion. 60 textile design pictures and 18 adjectives were prepared to get responses from 512 adult subjects. Textiles designs were analyzed into 9 design factors, such as, motif source, motif-background ratio, motif interpretation, motif arrangement, motif variation, motif articulation, hue contrast, value contrast, and chroma contrast. The results are followings: 1) The design factors of textiles were connected to other design factors, for example, the type of motif interpretation determined the type of chroma contrast, motif source, the ratio, and chroma contrast significantly. 2) The correlational coefficients of the ratio, motif variation, chroma contrast, hue contrast, articulation, and value contrast were positively signed significantly. 3) Consumer's sensibility was changed in urban, natural, graceful, mannish, young, dynamic, new, modem and etc, as the textile designs were changed in motif source, arrangement, hue contrast and etc.

Patterns presented at baroque were mostly floral pattern. Abstract anonymous flower, tulip, Acandus leaf, pomegranate were blended with one another and had a distinct leaning toward continuation and repetition. Components of design could be classified into flower and leaf, flower and fruit, flower and circumferential ornament, bunch of flowers, flower and pot, flower and geometry, and flower and animal. Floral patterns in this era were mostly fullness type being large, simple, and having more formalized motive and were fronted with unit type and vine shape. Unit type shows reflection of baroque style which aims to present absolute unification rather than freedom, which was inherent property of baroque style, by using symmetric pattern. Vine type were unfolded with C type curved line which was main characteristics of that time and showed flowage as a whole and pliable beauty. Floral pattern was filled the whole surface of fabric, thus background of fabric can not be discerned. So, it showed extreme decorative tendency and lavishness.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the style of textile pattern design on the process of building the fashion brand identity. In so doing, the study analyzes the color, style, and layout of the motive, and the drawings of the patter of textile of top seven Italian fashion brands which present in presented eight fashion design collections during the 1997∼2000 period. The results of the analysis show that the seven brands exhibit their unique characteristics of the color, style, and layout of the motive, and the drawings of the pattern of textile. The results can be interpreted in a way that their distinct features oft textile pattern design indeed contribute toward the establishment of their unique brand image and brand identity. The results of this study suggests that to initiate the top fashion brand, the fashion industry should develop its own unique style of textile pattern design.

This study investigated aesthetic characters of textile design on the modern fashion in 1990s. 1. Spiritual desolation caused by modern society of high-technology made people be interested in ethnic image. 2. It was expressed aesthetic beauty by application of various kinds of art for more new and creative designs. 3. Resistance against environmental pollution or ecosystem destruction caused by scientific technology and industrial development pursed ecology, so lots of natural patterns were used. 4. It was persued beauty of simplicity and visual angels by using geometrical graphism. 5. Self-consciousness or resistance of period was expressed by deconstructive symbol. Accordingly, textile design is expressed related to the trend of modern fashion, the current thought of the times, social phenomenon and art. So we need various analysis on above factors. Then, it will be helpful to develope the creative and distinguished fashion design.

시각장애인의 독립보행은 많은 위험 부담과 어려움을 안고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 어려움을 해결하고자 사용자에게 GPS를 통해 목적지까지 안전한 경로로 안내하는 기능을 제공한다. 사물 인식 알고리즘을 통해 주행 시 필요한 장애물 판별과 신호등의 색상 등을 인식한다. 그리고 아두이노 초음파 센서를 활용하여 장애물과 사용자 간의 거리를 인식하고, 블루투스 모듈을 통해 측정한 값을 송신하여 구간별에 따라 사용자에게 경고음을 울린다. 더 나아가 AR 기능을 통해서 장애물을 입체적으로 강조하여 표시함으로써 저시력 장애인들이 장애물과 충돌하는 것을 예방한다.

In order to reflect emotion and sensibility of consumers to textile pattern design, the effect of design elements of block stripe pattern on sensitivity was investigated. The stimuli were manipulated with 4 design elements of value difference (3 levels), arrangement (2 levels), width (2 levels) and interval (3 levels). Among the 36 combinations, 27 stimuli, which showed independent sensibility results in the pretest, were adopted as final stimuli. Male and female university students (n=30) evaluated each sensibility subjectively using a questionnaire developed for this study. The effect of design elements on 12 sensibility dimensions drawn by factor analysis and the relationships between the physical quantities of each stimulus and the sensibilities were investigated. As the results of ANOVA for the effect of design elements on sensibility, there were more significant differences in sensibility in the orders of value difference, interval, width, and arrangement. The value difference showed the highest explanatory power. Looking at the sensibility differences according to the level of design elements, the narrower the width of the stripe, the more 'humble', 'clean', 'modern', 'simple', and 'comfortable', and the narrower the interval between stripes, the more 'impressive' and 'conservative' The smaller the value difference, the more 'luxurious', 'modern', 'humble', 'simple', 'soft', and 'clean'. Regression models to predict the 12 sensibilities showed higher values of goodness of fit except 'conservative', 'casual' and 'modern', which were all over 0.6. Based on these results, 2 design prototypes reflecting consumer's sensibility were presented.
