Currently, the field of textile is expanding the scope of its research, which focuses on non-material values such as emotion. This study suggests possibilities for and applications of emotional textile design, using digital craft via empirical research focusing on the emotional significance of textile design. The results, obtained with a subjective evaluation scale developed for this study, were used to verify whether there is statistical significance in the differences between textile design using digital technology and textile design using digital craft. The experiment indicated certain meaningful implications for application of digital crafts through the application of textile design. First, ethnic emotions were not found to be significant but did increase in all three comparative analyses. Second, both modern and classical emotions decreased. Third, comparisons between digital textile machine and digital textile machine and craft showed a significant difference in sensibility. Lastly, the comparison of 3D printing and 3D printing and craft indicated a significant increase in elegance. Therefore, textile design using digital craft is thought to be able to deliver an ethnic, fun, and elegant sensibility, following the digital technology used. If the results derived from this study are used appropriately in the development and production of textile design, it can effectively support the development of emotional textile design. In addition, the results of this study provide objective data for the design of emotional textile through digital craft, which will provide important implications for the academic world and for practical production.

본 연구의 목적은 비디오/오디오 프로토콜 분석 방식을 이용해서 텍스타일 디자인 프로세스 중 모티브 개발 단계에서 디지털 나염(DTP : Digital Textile Printing) 전용 캐드(CAD)와 같은 디자인 저작도구를 설계할 때 어떤 요소에 중점을 두고 개발 할 것인지에 대한 향상된 지침을 마련하는데 있다. 텍스타일 디자인 프로세스에 대한 프로토콜 분석을 위해 선행 연구를 고찰하여 디자인 행동 범주의 틀을 하향식(top-down)방식으로 설정하고 실제 행동 프로토콜 (action protocol) 분석을 통해 상향식(bottom-up)방식으로 세부 디자인 행동을 도출하였다. 텍스타일 디자인은 선행연구의 건축디자인과는 다른 특징을 지니기 때문에 프로토콜 분석에서도 새로운 디자인 행동 범주(action category)가 필요하게 되었다. 이를 위하여 모델 휴먼 프로세서(Model Human Processor)이론을 근거로 디자인 행동을 모터 행동(motor action), 지각 행동(perceptual action), 인지 행동(cognitive action)의 세 가지 범주[4]로 나누었으며 텍스타일 디자인 프로세스에 적합한 코딩 스킴(coding scheme)을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 이 새로운 코딩 스킴을 토대로 디자인 저작도구에 대한 디자이너의 인지적 모형(Cognitive Model)을 개발하였다. 이렇게 개발된 디자이너의 인지적 모형은 디지털 나염을 기반으로 하는 모티브 개발 단계에서 스케치와 렌더링에 대한 디자인 저작 도구의 향상된 설계지침 뿐만 아니라 방향도 시사하였다.

오늘날 인간의 수명이 연장되고, 웰빙과 건강에 대한 관심이 증가됨에 따라서 언제 어디서나 건강을 모니터링 할 수 있는 건강 스마트 의류 시스템이 개발되고 있다. 이를 위하여 최근에는 생체신호의 모니터링이 가능하도록 디자인된 의류에 통합된 형태의 직물 전극이 개발되고 있다. 혁신적으로 의류 시스템에 통합되어 착용 가능한 니트, 우븐, 자수방식의 텍스타일 전극에 대한 다양한 연구가 개발 제시되고 있으며, 이의 일부는 상용화되어 있다. 이에 본 연구는 경위사의 일정한 직조제어 자동화 시스템이 가능한 컴퓨터 자카드 직기의 캐드(CAD) 직조디자인 방식을 통하여 생체신호 센싱 기능이 향상된 새로운 텍스타일 전극디자인을 연구하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 기존 생체신호 센싱 전극의 개발 및 연구 동향, 비직물/전극 타입에 대한 단점과 장점에 대한 비교 분석을 이론적으로 살펴보고, 자카드 직조 직물 기반으로 심전도 센싱용 텍스타일 전극을 디자인하여 실험 연구하였다. 자카드 직조 방식의 심전도 센싱용 직물 전극은 전극 인터페이스 디자인 방식, 이중직물형 직조 디자인 방식, 사가공 등의 요인들을 고려하여 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 최종 자카드 직조 직물 기반의 텍스타일 전극은 스마트 의류에 통합시킨 텍스타일 전극 모듈로서 적용되여 향후 상용화 방안을 모색할 수 있다.

With the advance of digital technology, development of exclusive CAD system for fashion textile that may suggest the future of fashion textile industry is increasingly accelerated. To build up the foundation of digital culture, it is required for fashion textile industry to develop goods with high value added and make rapid change of production system, and actually, exclusive programs are being developed to meet with the desire. Present study considers the vicissitude of fashion textile and the composition and characteristics of design system, and compares and analyses a variety of design developments of digital fashion textile. And it systemizes the expansion and change of creative digital pattern designs that are developed differing from existing graphic program, the expression of suitable textile texture, and the simulation effect by three-dimension modeling. By separating the usage of CAD system for fashion textile into designing and producing aspects, it also focuses on increasing the usage of exclusive CAD system for fashion textile.

This study was an exploratory approach to the cognitive model of textile designers on the stage of motif development in textile design process. Prior to the main research, several previous studies adopting methods of video/audio protocol analysis were reviewed. On the basis of the review, the categories of design action were derived as an analysis frame by application of top-down access method, meanwhile the sub-groups of each category of design action were identified through a bottom-up access method. To summarize the research result, total three categories of textile design action appeared based on the theory of ‘Human processor’ model : ‘motor action’, ‘perceptual action’ and 'cognitive action'. In next, a new coding scheme suitably explaining these three categories of fertile design action was developed. Finally, a cognitive model of textile designer on the stage of motif development, employing the new coding scheme, was suggested in this study.

산업통상자원부가 주최하고 한국디자인진흥원이 주관하는 우수디자인(GD)상품 선정은 산업디자인진흥법에 의거해 1985년부터 매년 시행되고 있으며, 공정한 심사를 거쳐 디자인이 우수한 상품과 서비스에 정부인증 마크인GD(Good Design)마크를 부여하는 제도이다. 2020년에는1208점이출품, 총 405점이 GD로 선정되었으며, 이 중 Grand prize, Gold prize, Silver prize, Bronze prize 등 총 79점이 수상의 영광을 안았다. 우수디자인(GD)상품 선정은 최근 2년 이내 국내 또는 국외에서 판매를 개시하였거나 당해년도 판매 예정인 상품을 대상으로 하며, 제품, 시각/정보디자인, 디지털미디어/콘텐츠디자인, 공간/환경디자인, 패션/텍스타일디자인, 서비스/경험디자인, 산업공예 디자인 등 7개 부문, 총 27개 분야로 구성됐다. 포장은 시각/정보 디자인 부문 내 패키지 디자인 분야 외에도 제품 디자인 등 다수의 분야에서 선정됐다. 다음에 우수디자인으로 선정된 포장 관련 상품들을 살펴보도록 한다.

In this study, textile designs were developed by applying Norigae for motives, were digital-printed for it's eco-friendly, delicate and short printing time and as final products, necktie, bag and bedding was developed with them. The purposes of this study were to develop a unique textile design, and then to enhance the competitiveness of Korean textile industry in the world market and pass down a Korean traditional fiber art cultural legacy. The results are as follows Norigaes are a sort of Korean traditional ornaments worn on women's Korean traditional costume. These can vary in color, material, shape, composition and said to have very high artistic value from the standpoint of the modern view. And these are symbols of happiness and women's longing of Korean traditional society. So Norigaes are worthy of applying Korean traditional motive for modern textile design. The textile designs applied a Norigae in this study were estimated comparatively high.

Computer simulation methods for three area of textile design, wearing, and design were developed by using CAD system, and its results were applied to pattern design simulation. Textile design created by using the CAD system was applied to T-shirt schematization. Created wearing, printing, and knitting design respectively were applied to women clothing, children's wear, and men sweater. In this rearch, several equipped since various color working, materials, pattern development and swift intention decision of goods direction are possible on the moniter. Third, many goods order are rushed within short time because spot direction are possible on the moniter. Third, many goods order are rushed within short time because intention decision of buyer could be induced and embodied design almost reflection the buyer's will on the spot before production of goods and samples. Forth, time and expense were saved to get the information in terms of design information systematically and could be managed annually. Fifth, creative design development can be not only availed but saved the service expense of outside orders and the traffic expense.

Since the use of textile has become more extensive and applied for various products, today, the importance of utility, ornament and civilization of textile is emphasized. Textile design should be able to satisfy the designer's creativity and his/her world of art. Moreover, it should be appropriate for the industrial technology circumstances, and taste of consumers. In Korea, traditional culture has been extremely valued, allowing people to be more interested in textile designs derived from traditional cultural. Therefore, designs inspired by the spirit and sense of traditional patterns has been used to develop modern textile designs. Prior research on products, however, show that cultural motive was insufficient, therefore, in this research the purpose is to design textiles and to develop Korean neckties, an essential component of men's attire, by adapting Korean traditional patterns. In order to conduct the research, first, numerous parers on Korean traditional patterns have been studied to select fundamental data about the development of necktie textile designs. Second, Korean traditional patterns were applied while following the target and concept, and two pieces of necktie textile designs have been suggested. Patterns had been designed by hand drawing and CAD system, they have been suggested as a portfolio. As a result, this article suggests new necktie designs utilizing Korean traditional patterns and, attempts to develop particular pattern designs, which have power to accommodate globalization and to express the special qualities of Korea.
