A Study on the Taegeuk in Daesoon Thoughts (대순사상의 태극에 관한 연구 - 주자의 태극과 비교를 중심으로 -)

  • This thesis strives to identify the peculiarities of Taegeuk (the yin-yang) and the relationships of Ri (reason/cause), Ki (Energy) and Do (duty). The Taegeuk is related with the Sangjekwan (highest ruling entity), Rikiron (noble theory) and the Boncheron (ontology) of the Daesoon Sasang (Daesoon Thoughts) which therefore is a priority research topic. Although said, due to the lack of original materials and the difficulty to understand the topic, the research is insignificant. Within chapter II of this thesis, the concept of the Taegeuk, the Rigi and Do from the perspective of Juja is observed. In chapter III, the relationship of Moogeuk and the Taegeuk which is mentioned in the foundation origin of the Daesoonjinrihoe. In addition, the Taegeuk and Eumyang's noble perspectives are observed through the comparison of Juja and Daesoon Sasang. In chapter IV, the aspects of Taegeuk's supervision is observed through the noumenality of the Taegeuk which is shown in the Daesoon Sasang along with the concept of mythology. Within the overall context, the Daesoon Sasang's ontology has similar structures with Juja's Taegeuk. This can be stated that Jojeongsan who had found the system of doctrine had not acknowledged Juja's theories but have rather interpreted Kangjeungsan's ontology in a Neo-Confucianism to better let the people understand. This can be observed as expediential teachings. The metaphysical Ri and the physical Ki's separation, and the relationship of matters and functions of the Taegeuk and Do can be stated to be similar within an overall outline in the aspect of the Rikiron. The Taegeuk becomes the primary figure whilst explaining Daesoon Sasang's Ri/Ki/Do and also becomes the Soiyeon (such reasons). Extreme Do is drawn from the Taegeuk and as Do resembles the trend of the Taegeuk, it is referred as the origin of all the things in the universe. However, Juja vigorously tried to witness God's notions in a principled, atheistic way. However, the main principle is regarded as divine in the aspect of the universe's functions and effects in the Daesoon Sasang. The personal Sangjekwan which embodies these profound and mysterious Taegeuk, is Daesoon Sasang's peculiarity which cannot be found in Neo-Confucianism. Therefore, in the Daesoon Sasang, both the order and character are being regarded in the ontology through personal divine.

Tai Chi Exercise on MDA, SOD and Physical Fitness in Breast Cancer Patients (규칙적인 태극권의 참여가 유방암 수술환자의 산화-항산화계에 미치는 영향)

  • Treatment for breast cancer produces side effects that diminish functional capacity and quality of life (QOL) among survivors. Tai Chi is a moderate form of exercise that may improve functional capacity, physical activity and oxidative stress. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of regular Tai Chi exercise on malondialdehyde (MDA), SOD and physical fitness (muscle strength, flexibility, flexion, extension, adduction, and abduction). Forty obese women were recruited from a public health center and divided into control (CON: n=20) and trained (EXP: n=20) groups. The Tai Chi exercise group participated in a 12-week (4 times/week) training program. Data were analyzed with T-test. MDA, SOD and physical fitness (muscle strength, flexibility, flexion, extension, adduction, and abduction) were evaluated before and after the Tai Chi program in both groups. There were significant improvements in shoulder flexibility, flexion, extension, abduction, and adduction. However, there was no improvement in muscle strength. There were also significant improvements in MDA and SOD. Based on these results, Tai Chi exercise has been shown to stimulate endogenous antioxidant enzymes and reduce oxidative damage markers. and also be effective in improving physical fitness and QOL. Further study is needed in this area.

A Balanced and Unbalanced Analysis of the DNA Matrix Code of The Taegeuk Pattern (태극 패턴 DNA 행렬 코드의 평형과 불평형 해석)

  • The chromosomes of all the world are the same in all 24 pairs, but the key, skin color and appearance are different. Also, it is the resistance of adult disease, diabetes, cancer. In 1953, Watson, Crick of Cambridge University experimentally discovered a DNA double helix structure, and in 1962, They laureates the Nobel Prize. In 1964, Temin, University of Wisconsin, USA, experimentally identified the ability to copy gene information from RNA to DNA and received the Nobel Prize in 1975. In this paper, we analyzed 24 pairs of DNA chromosomes using mathematical matrices based on the combination order sequence of four groups, and designed the Taegeuk pattern genetic code for the first time in the world. In the case of normal persons, the middle Yin-Yang taegeuk is designed as a block circulant Jacket matrix in DNA, and the left-right and upper-lower pairs of east-west and north-south rulings are designed as pair complementary matrices. If (C U: A G) chromosomes are unbalanced, that is, people with disease or inheritance become squashed squirming patterns. In 2017, Professor Michel Young was awarded a Nobel by presenting a biological clock and experimentally explained the bio-imbalance through a yellow fruit fly experiment.This study proved mathematical matrices for balanced and unbalanced RNA.

Proper Understanding and Globalization Strategy of Korean Ginseng (고려인삼의 약리효능의 올바른 이해와 세계화 전략)

  • 고려인삼의 학명은 Panax ginseng으로 그리스 어원을 해석하면 '모든 질병을 치료 할 수 있는 약재'이다. 본 발표에서는 첫째, 고려인삼의 약리효능에 대한 과학적인 연구 결과를 소개해 고려인삼에 대한 이해를 넓히고 둘째, 국제인삼시장의 현황과 중앙정부의 지원 방법을 소개하고자 한다. 고려인삼은 재배기간인 4~6년 소요되고 수삼, 백삼, 홍삼, 태극삼, 흑삼의 형태로 사용된다. 고려인삼은 사포닌, 알칼로이드, 다당체 등을 함유하고 있으며 생리활성의 유효성분은 ginsenoside로 알려져 있다. 고려인삼의 ginsenoside는 약 35종이 알려져 있고 각 ginsenoside에 따라 항아토피, 알츠하이머 예방, 항당뇨, 면역 증강효과를 보이고 있으며 아직도 그 효능에 대하여 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 고려인삼의 국제거래가격은 캐나다산의 4.8배, 중국산의 5.5배이고 토지 임차료는 미국, 중국의 약 5배, 캐나다의 2.6배이며 인건비는 중국의 13배에 달하나 수량성은 10a 당 450~600kg으로 미국 캐나다(800~1,000kg), 중국(950~1,250kg)의 수량성 보다 낮다. 고려인삼의 산업적 발전을 위해 중앙정부는 생산기반, 유통구조, 안전성, 과학화를 포함한 중장기적인 계획을 수립하고, 이에 따라 다양한 지원시책을 준비하고 있다.

Effect of Taichichuan Training on Quality of Life in Cancer Patients (태극권 수련이 암환자의 삶의 질에 미치는 영향)

  • Objective: To investigate a clinical effect of Taichichuan training focussing on improvement of quality of life in cancer patients. Methods: The subject of study consisted of 10 cancer patients at the East-West Cancer Center of Dunsan Oriental hospital. The survey method of this study is Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General (FACT-G) korean version. Patients performed Taichichuan twice a week and filled out FACT-G questionnaire before and after training. Results: Although total FACT-G score decreased 0.7 point after training, emotional well-being score increased 1.0 point after training. Male improved FACT-G score better than female. Over 50 age improved FACT-G score better than under 50 age. Over stage Ⅲ improved FACT-G score better than Under Stage II. Patients who were treated integrative treatment improved FACT-G score better than patients who were only treated conventional treatment. But all results were not significant statistically. Conclusions: Emotional well-being tends to improve after training, but this study cannot proved Taichichuan training improve quality of life in cancer patients. Well designed advanced study will be needed to prove its benefits.

Effects of Doin Gigong Exercise on Flexibleness of Articulation and Mood Status in Elderly Woman (태극도인기공체조가 중년.노년 여성의 관절유연성과 심리상태에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Doin Gigong Exercise program on flexibleness of articulation and mood status in elderly woman. This study was one group pre-post test desgian with repeated measures. The experimental group of 27 patients were selected through sampling from Haeundae-public health center. The subjects received Doin Gigong Exercise twice a week for 90 minutes for 12 weeks. To evaluate the effects of Doin Gigong Exercise, flexibleness of articulation and mood status in elderly woman were measured at before and 12 weeks after program, The pain of arthritis significantly decreased (p<0.05) after the exercise program. The values for shoulder flexibility (left: p<0.05) significantly increased after the exercise program. The values for left-right knee flexion and extension flexibility(left knee extention: p<0.05) significantly increased after the exercise program. The values for mood status significantly decreased (p<0.01), the values for self-confidence and self- benefit significantly increased(p<0.01) after the exercise program.

  • 최근 우리나라에서 하천 및 유역 환경의 급격한 변화로 인하여 하천 형태가 많이 변하고 있는 추세이다. 특히 사행하는 모래 하천에서 만곡부 사주의 형태 변화가 커지고 있다. 이 연구에서는 이와 같은 모래 하천의 만곡부에서 사주의 변화 특성을 평가하고 그 원인을 파악하기 위하여 이동상 수리모형 실험을 실시하였다. 실험에서 하천 및 유역의 여러 상황 변화를 감안하여 유량, 유사 공급량, 공급 시간, 하천 변형 등 다양한 조건을 상정하였다. 연구 대상하천은 낙동강 본류이며, 중점 수리모형 실험대상 구간은 우리나라의 전통민속마을인 안동 하회마을을 태극형으로 감싸면서 사행하는 만곡부이다. 이동상 실험규모는 수평축적 1/110, 수직축적 1/50로 왜곡도가 2.2로써 비교적 대규모이다. 모형 하상재료는 입경 0.29 mm의 석탄분(anthracite)을 채택하였으며, 현장에서 하상재료조사와 상사해석을 통해 결정하였다. 실험 결과, 유량과 유사 공급량 변화에 따른 사주 변화가 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 유사 공급이 이루어지지 않을 때 국지적 퇴적양상을 보였다. 이는 사주 내 식생활착으로 이어지는 계기가 될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 설계홍수량 규모에서 구하도와 과거 사주가 재현되었는데, 이는 지역주민을 통해 입증되었다. 또한 천연기념물인 만송정 주변의 모래둔덕의 형성과정이 입증되었다.

Effect of Tai Chi as Therapeutic Exercise on Blood Pressure : Rapid Systematic Review (운동요법으로서 태극권이 혈압에 미치는 영향 : 신속 체계적 고찰)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to systematically analyze the effect of Tai Chi as therapeutic exercise on depressing blood pressure. Methods : We reviewed articles published in the PubMed, Chinese Academic Journals(CAJ) and five Korean databases. The searching keywords were "Tai chi AND blood pressure" and "Tai chi AND hypertension". We evaluated the quality with Cochrane risk of bias tool. Results : In the 114 articles searched, 7 randomized controlled clinical trials were selected. Yang(楊) style Tai chi, exercising over 30 minutes a time and over three times a week, had an effect on decreasing blood pressure. However, Wu(吳) style Tai chi was not effective in decreasing blood pressure. Conclusions : Usual exercises for hypertension patients should be performed in the form of moderate exercises intensity for 10-26 weeks by 30-60 minute a time, over 3 times a week. The study of Tai Chi on blood pressure needs to follow this criteria in the future.

  • Tough study of movement of Tae-Geuk-Guan(太極拳), we understand Tae-Geuk-Guan(太極拳) & essential movement. Theory about creator of Tae-Geuk-Guan(太極拳) is indistinct. there are Jangsampung-theory(張三豊設), Wangjongak-theory(王宗岳設), Jinwangjung-theory(陳王廷設), Jinbok-theory(陳卜設). Tae-Geuk-Guan(太極拳) is military arts developed before Song empire(宋). Tae-Geuk-Guan(太極拳) has many branch.(Jin-sik陳式, Yang-sik楊式, Mu-sik武式 O-sik吳式, Son-sik孫式) Tae-Geuk-Guan'(太極拳) manual movement use fist(拳), palm(掌), hook shape(鉤) and its using form has many type like Bung, Yi, Jae, An, Chae, Yul, Ju, Go. Its gait has many type like Sang-bo(上步), Tae-bo(退步), Jin-bo(進步), Deng-gak, Bun-gak(分脚), Bak-gak(拍脚). Essential theory of Tae-Geuk-Guan(太極拳) is Yi-Sim-Hang-Gi(以心行氣) & Yi-Gi-Un-Sin(以氣運身). It means mind(心) moves qi(氣) and qi(氣) moves body(身).
