  • In this paper, we did a study on the definition and properties of binomial coefficients which can be seen with the topic for the enrichment of mathematically gifted students. Using this result, studied the problem of how to solve equations containing the binomial coefficients by using the mathematical induction, binomial theorem, the definition of the combination, and road network model situations. And such contents can be adequately dealt with the subject of mathematics enrichment gifted and talented Education because mathematically gifted students may well be the subject of inquiry. In addition, it can be used to study the subject to experience a deep sense of mathematics. As this research, it will be introduced as an example to guide students.

  • This study reflects the regional context of Northeast Asian countries embodied in US-North Korean nuclear tension. The researcher uses the methodological inquiry of practical theology to analyze the political affairs and intertwine with religious education. The ecology of religious education to dismantle the threat of ethnic and racial discrimination such as white supremacy supports a shared pedagogy between students and their teachers in the narrative of Jesus to challenge all forms of oppression as the democratic presence of God.

  • No matter how a great value the classwork through Internet may be, the value of Internet can be of negative value if teachers do not intend to make good use of it. Based on this assumption, this research is to show how to draw up a plan for utilizing a effective course of the classwork in high school through Internet, which is now being given attention to an educational environment as a innovative way supporting various educational possibilities compared with a traditional system of education. In addition, this study focuses on the investigation on the classwork through Internet by on-the-spot teachers as a part of all possible efforts for spreading the classwork with network.

  • This study analyzes the system of Loot Box in Overwatch, FPS genre game produced by an American company Blizzard. Currently, one of the most controversial issues in the recent industry is "Probability-Type Item" that game users purchase high-end game items as a form of lottery. As this study examines a foreign case of Loot Box that is similar to Probability-Type Item, it would show how it is constructed and does legal approaches. Throughout this, it not only analyzes pros and cons of the Loot Box system, but also provides thought-provoking messages for the issue of the Probability-Type Item.

  • The Field is a simulated virtual environment specifically designed to assist elementary students learn the basic scientific inquiry skills such as observation, data collection, and generating and verifying hypothesis. Over the last four years, the Field has been used to teach inquiry learning in the context of mathematics and science in an elementary school. During the studies, it was observed that students suffered from problems in navigation, wayfinding, and data collection. First, this papers discusses the problems and the technical aids we have iteratively developed to address these issues. We will then discuss the impact of the technical aids on the student's behaviors.

  • This study investigated the trends in the number of applicants and mean score and applicants’ responses on the test items of Earth Science in the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) implemented for 3 years (1999-2001). The percentage of applicants of science track were 43.14% in 1995, but reduced through 29.5% in 2001 to 26.92% in 2002 CSAT For elective subject, about 22% of science track students applied to Earth Science II which ranked third to Biology II and Chemistry II. In 1999, test items were developed to have the expected difficulty 40 ${\sim}$ 59% (6 items) to 60 ${\sim}$ 79% (10 items). But in 2001 every 16 items were developed to have difficulty 60 ${\sim}$ 79%, which was caused by the policy of so called ‘easy CSAT’. Thus the mean score of ‘Earth Science II’ was increased from 50.26 in 1999 through 64.47 in 2000, to 67.58 in 2001. Applicants were generally very good at solving test items focusing on process skills only and familar items but poor at solving test items related to the motion of the earth and planets and sea wave, especially items calling two or more concepts. Thus special measures to cope with the decrease in applicants of science track should be provided. And it is recommended to develop test items with wider range of difficulty and to reduce test items calling process skills only. And special consideration should be given to teaching the content area with poor achievement and high actual difficulty compared to the expected.

  • In accordance with his belief that philosophical problems arise from misunderstandings of the logic of our language, Wittgenstein's philosophical investigations were always focused on the problems of logic of language. Indeed, it can be said that his investigations were logical investigations. But what was the logic as conceived by him? He regarded logic as grammar from the beginning, but between his two different philosophical periods, there were important changes in his conceptions of grammar. In his earlier period, he understood the logic of language as the truth-functional syntax realizable in an ideal notation, while in his later period he regarded logic as the rules of language-use in various language games. It was a change from viewing logic as an ideally strict and universal system in which every logical possibilities are determined to viewing logic as an open system of non-strict grammatical rules specific to each language game. This paper deals with the gists of his earlier and later views on logic and the reasons for the change of his views, including specifically the reasons for the change of his views concerning the autonomy and necessity of logic as grammar.

  • In this study, the students' responses on the items of chemistry II in the College Scholastics Ability Test (CSAT) implemented for the past 3 years since 1999 was investigated. The number of applicants and mean score of chemistry II, average percent correct by contents and inquiry process, and the items with high and/or low percent correct are analysed and discussed. The percentage of applicants for natural science track is reduced each year. However, more than 25% of natural science track applied to chemistry II, which ranked second to biology II. The mean score of chemistry II was increased in 2001 along with those of other subjects. There is no difference in average percent correct either by contents or inquiry process. Students performed generally poor at solving test items relating to 'colligative properties of solution' such as 'boiling point elevation' or 'osmotic pressure', and very well at solving test items relating to 'reaction rates'. Educational implications are discussed.
