Water-Cooler Effect in Informal Communication at Work : Focusing on Kakao Talk of Smart-Phone User (업무 중 비공식적 커뮤니케이션의 워터쿨러 효과 : 스마트폰 사용자의 카카오톡을 중심으로)

  • This research is to investigate the impact of informal communication of smart-phone user while at work on performance. To do this, we proposed the research model including informal offline communication represented by tea time and informal online communication typified by Kakao talk derived from water-cooler effect. The results of this empirical study is summarized as followings. First, Kakao talk with insiders has a positive effect on performance only in male group, and Kakao talk with outsiders has a negative effect on performance in both male and female group. Secondly, tea time has a positive effect on performance in group with high task interdependence, whereas Kakao talk with insiders has a positive effect on performance in group with low task interdependence. The findings have significant implications for policy development to regulate the wise smart-phone use in organization.

A Study on the Effects to the Communication Capability and the Accommodation of other person's Perspective for the Self Understanding, the Self Accommodation and the Self Communication -Centered on the University Students in Gungji-do and Seoul- (자기이해, 자기수용, 자기표현이 타인관점수용과 의사소통역량에 미치는 영향 연구 -서울, 경기도의 한국 대학생을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study intends that the contemporary university students would understand the importance and relationship of the Self-Expression as its appropriateness, the Self-Understanding and the Self-Accommodation as it is, and that it would conducive to enhance their Communication Capability and Accommodation to other's perspective on the base of these understandings. In accordance with the analyses of questioners and statistics as a methodology of this study, the tendency of the factors effective to the enhancement for the Communication Capability and the Accommodation to other's perspective will be found out and the meaning of the Self-Expression, the Self-Accommodation and the Self-Understanding will be analyzed by the standpoint of the enhancement of the Self-Competency. The result of this study reveals that a high distributed group for the Definitization of the Self-Conception is to have more the Self-Expression and the Self-Accommodation. As an enlightenment from this study, the Self-Expression and the Self-Accommodation shall have a mutual reliance and be influenced to the Accommodation of Other Person's Perspective. In case of the high distribution of the Self-Accommodation, where there is the both of the low distribution of the Self-Expression and the Self-Accommodation, the Accommodation of Other Person's Perspective is high. However, if there is the higher of the Self-Expression and the Self-Accommodation, there influences the better enhancement of the Communication-Capability, and there no effect to their mutual reliance. This study enlightens when it becomes at the stage of the Self-Accommodation, a respectable listening from others makes to accommodate other as it is and when it is wanted to raise the Communication Capability, it is required to improve the capability through the Self-Expression together with the Self-Accommodation.

  • 생체정보를 이용한 보안 솔루션이 활발하게 연구되고 있는 가운데, 지문은 가장 널리 사용되고 또한 중점적으로 연구되고 있는 생체특징의 하나로 자리잡았다. 지문인식 시스템에 사용되는 지문 입력기는 광학식, 반도체식 등 다양하나 입력방식은 주로 압착날인식으로 회전식과 달리 손가락 끝을 입력창에 대어 그 순간 접촉된 면의 지문만을 입력받게 된다. 그러므로 입력된 지문영상은 전체지문과 비교했을 때 극히 일부분에 불과하여, 이러한 제한된 영역으로부터 획득된 지문영상들을 비교한다면 비록 동일 지문이라 할지라도 획득 위치의 상이함으로 인해 타인 지문으로 오인식할 소지가 있다. 또한 특징점에 기반한 지문인증 알고리즘의 경우에는 두 지문으로부터 추출된 특징점의 위치 및 상태 정보의 신뢰성에 전적으로 의존하게되므로 특징점의 오추출 및 누락이 전체 시스템 성능을 좌우하게된다. 그러므로 가능한한 넓은 영역의 지문을 사용하고 신뢰할 만한 특징 추출 결과를 얻는 것이 에러율을 개선하는데 필수적이라 하겠다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 사용자 등록시 한 지문에서 획득한 복수의 지문영상을 이용하여 정렬 및 정합 과정을 거친 후 지문영상의 영역을 확장하고 해당 지문영상에서 추출된 특징점을 비교하여 유효하지 않은 특징점을 제거하는 과정을 통하여 등록시 저장되는 특징점 템플릿의 신뢰도를 높여주는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 결과의 객관성을 확보하기 위하여 FVC 2002에서 제공하는 데이터베이스로 테스트한 결과 2.12%의 EER(Equal Error Rate)을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • In this paper conduction phenomena have been considered for nano structure double gate MOSFET, using the analytical model. The Possion equation is used to obtain the analytical model. The conduction mechanisms to have an influence on current conduction are thermionic emission and tunneling current, and subthreshold swings of this paper is compared with those of two dimensional simulation to verify this model. The deviation of current path and the influence of current path on subthreshold swing have been considered according to the dimensional parameters of double gate MOSFET, i.e. gate length, gateoxide thickness, channel thickness. The optimum channel doping concentration is determined as the deviation of conduction path is considered according to channel doping concentration.

  • Workflow mining is a newly emerging research issue for rediscovering and reengineering workflow models from workflow logs containing information about workflow being executed on the workflow engine. This paper newly defines a workflow process reduction mechanism that formally and automatically reduces an original workflow process to a minimal set of activities, which was used proposed 'E-walk series analysis algorithm'. Main purpose of this paper is to minimize discrepancies between the workflow process modeled and the enacted workflow process as it is actually being executed. That means, we compare a complete set of activity firing sequences on buildtime with workflow execution logs which was generate on runtime. For this purpose we proposed two algorithm, the one is 'Activity-Dependent Net Algorithm' and the other is 'E-Walk Series Analysis Algorithm'.

A Study on the Software Standardization and Simulator Design for Efficient Reliability Test in Combat System

  • In this paper, we propose the standardization architecture and weapon-sensor simulator for efficient reliability test in combat system. To reduce man-month of reliability test, application with high dependency on other module is selected and apply FORM. The proposed standardization architecture extracts common, variable elements and design patterns, S.O.L.I.D principles were applied. The proposed weapon-sensor simulator implements essential functions by identifying highly dependent element of other modules and the information from equipment can be directly received without processing by using communication middleware. As a result, it can replace actual ship-mounted equipment. In addition, it is possible to reduce the consumption rate of human resources when perform reliability test and modification time can be shorted.

A study on the level of codependency among social work related professionals and its effect on their burnout: Focusing on moderating effects of Sex-role attitude (사회복지종사자의 공동의존성과 소진에 관한 연구 : 성역할태도의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is first, to explore the level of codependency among social work related professionals since codependency of professionals in the field has not been explored much in Korea. Second purpose is to examine whether codependency affects the level of burnout. Last purpose is to examine moderating effects of the Sex-role attitude on the relationship between codependency and burnout. Data were collected from the 11th of December in 2014 until the 28th of February in the following year. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed to care professionals practicing in social work institutions in Daejeon City and Choongcheong province, via email and mail. In addition, surveys were administered at several continuing education training venues. Instruments used for this study include CODAT(Codependency Assessment Tool) developed by Hughes-Hammer and colleagues in 1998, MBI(Maslach Burnout Inventory) developed by Maslach and Jackson in 1981, and SRA(Sex Role Attitude) developed by Osmond and Maryin in 1975. In total, 368 surveys were used for final analysis. The results include that gender did not have statistically significant relationship with the overall codependency, however, male showed statistically higher score than female in one of subscales of codependency called hiding oneself. Workers in the residential settings showed higher level of codependency than those in non-residential settings, especially in the subscale of Other focus or Self-neglect. Codependency showed a strong relationship with Burnout. Among the five-factor structure of the CODAT, Medical problem, Low Self-worth and Family of Origin showed strong relationship with the Burnout score. And the moderating effects of Sex-role Attitude showed a statistically significant relationship between codependency and burnout. Conservative sex-role attitude amplified the level of burnout on the relationship between codependency and burnout. Based on the result, educational and policy implications were made in order to prevent burnout among social work related professionals.

A Coupling Metric between Classes for Efficient System Design (효율적인 시스템 설계를 위한 클래스 간의 결합 척도)

  • Recently, service-oriented systems have been issued by their properties of reducing software development time and effort by reusing functional service units. The reusability of services can effectively promote through loose coupling between services and loose coupling between services depends on component-based system. That is, the component-based system is designed by grouping the tightly coupled classes of the object-oriented system and the service-oriented system is designed by the component-based system. Therefore, to design the component-based system and service-oriented system efficiently, a metric to measure the coupling between classes accurately needs. In this paper, we propose a coupling metric between classes applying a structural property, a dynamic property, and the normalized value by 0-1. We prove the theoretical soundness of the proposed metric by the axioms of briand et al, and suggest the accuracy and practicality through a case study. We suggest the evaluation results of the proposed metric through a comparison with the conventional metrics.

  • 자동차 타이어의 최대의 특질은 공기라고 하는 천연의 기체를 충분히 활용하고 있는 점이다. 이 공기를 밖으로 누출함이 없이 수 10톤으로부터 수 100톤에나 달하는 중량물을 지탱하고 또한 시속 수 100km로 주파한다고 하는 마술에 가까운 묘기는 유독 타이어 만으로 이룩하고 있는 것은 아니고 갖가지 관련기술과의 공동의 연구 위에서 성립되어 있는 것이다. 그래서 금번은 타이어의 공기조정자로서 타이어와 함께 걸어온 타이어 발브와 발브코어를 취급해본다. 공기입 타이어의 발명은 상당히 옛날의 일이다. 그때 이미 타이어발브는 하차용으로서 존재하고 있었든 것 같다. 또 일본의 자동차발흥기에는 발브의 전부를 수입에 의존했다고 한다. 이것이 태평양공업주식회사이다. 하나 자동차와 함께 타이어의 진보도 눈부시다. 물론 그 그늘에 발브의 진보가 있었는 것도 간과할 수 없다. 특히 튜우브레스는 ……이다. 또한 타이어의 진보는 금후 더욱 가혹한 요구를 발브에도 요구하고 있는 중이다. -이에도 발브는 발브기술로서 충분히 부응할 용의가 있다고 한다…….
