타원계 비원형기어(엽형)의 설계에 관한 연구

  • 비원형기어의 기본적인 특징을 몇 가지 소개하고자 한다. 첫째, 간소한 기구로서 소형화할 수 있고, 둘째, 임의의 부동속 회전 전달을 얻을 수 있으며, 셋째, 맞물린 치면의 미끄럼접촉이 적기 때문에 마모피로가 적고 넷째, 고부하 전달이 가능하다는 장점들이 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 링크, 캠과 같은 동일한 용도에서 사용되는 다른 여러 기구에 비해 많은 이점을 가지고 있는 적합한 타원계 비원형기어(엽형)에서 편평도의 변화에 따른 피치라인을설계하고, 각속비 및 편평도에 따른 형상과 길이의 변화, 물림압력각, 곡률반경등의 연구를 바탕으로 스퍼형과 헬리컬형의 타원계 엽형로타를 AOTOCAD의 script, 3dace를 이용하여 Computer Simulation를 통해 도형화한다.

  • 일반적으로 접촉 피로 마멸은 구름 또는 미끄럼 접촉시 작용하는 반복 응력에 의해 표면과 표면 아래에 균열이 형성되고 성장 및 합체의 과정을 거쳐 표면의 일부가 떨어져 나가는 손상으로 기어나 캠-롤러, 구름 베어링과 같이 구름-미끄럼 접촉상태로 운전하는 기계요소에서 가장 중요하게 고려되어야 할 파손 메커니즘이다. 특히 기어나 구름 베어링 같이 고주기 접촉 피로 특성을 지니는 기계요소의 수명은 피로수명 실험과 통계적 기법을 이용한 Weibull 이론을 기초로 한 수명식을 대부분 사용하고 있다.(중략)

A Study on the Minimum Tooth Number of Profile Shifted Elliptical Gears to Avoid Undercutting (언더컷을 고려한 전위 타원계엽형기어의 최소잇수에 관한 연구)

  • This present paper describes a mathematical model of profile elliptical gears, and this model is based on the concepts of envelop theory and conjugate geometry between the blank and the straight-sided rack cutter. The geometric model of the rack cutter includes working regions generating involute curves andd fillets for trocoidal curves, and furthermore the addendum modified coeff,is considered for avoiding undercutting. The addendum modified coeff, is changed linearly along with pitch curves and must be the must be the same absolute value at both major semi-axis and minor semi-axis. If undercutting is at all pronounced, the undercut tooth not only are weakened in strength, but lose a small portion of the involute adjacent to the base circle, then this loss of involute may ncause a serios reduction in the length of contact. A very effective method of avoiding undercutting is to use the so-called profile shifted gearing. Non-undercutting conditon is examined with the change of eccentricity and addendum modefied coeff. in elliptical gears and then the minimum number of tooth is proposed not to gernerate undercutting phenomenon.

Design of Elliptical Lobe Type Gear with Involute Profile (타원계 엽형기어의 설계 및 동특성에 관한 연구)

  • Noncircular gears have been used for obtaining the modified anglualr velocity ratio between parallel axes. The elliptical gear, which is a kind of noncircular gears, makes use of ellipse as a pitch curve, and is applied for the measurement of the discharge of liquid. The applications of an elliptical gear are more advantageous than any other mechanism as like a crank-slider linkage or a cam mechanism in view of the accuracy and the reliability to transmit the prescribed motion. In this paper, acceding to the theoretical involute tooth profile, two pairs of the elliptical gears were manufactured by using CNC wire electronic discharge machine. The proper ranges of the operating pressure angle and of module not to generate under cutting are studied on the change of the eccentricity, because it is the eccentricity of the pitch curve that determines most of the characteristics of the elliptical gear and then the vibration analysis is executed for the verification of harmonious rotating.

  • Because technology of the sintering process is highly advanced, the gerotor used in the internal gear pumps of vehicles has advantages for manufacturing complex profiles and obtaining durability and minimization. However, it has been necessary to continuously improve the flow rate and noise of internal gear pumps for better fuel efficiency. The existing rotor was designed using a translation algorithm. This caused a discontinuity of the rotor profile, which had adverse effects on the performance. In this study, to improve the discontinuity of the profile, a new design program using a rotation and translation algorithm was developed, and two types of combined multiple profiles (three-ellipses and ellipse 1-involute-ellipse 2) were generated. Then, the performances (flow, flow rate, specific sliding, and pressure angle) of these profiles were calculated. On the basis of the calculation results for the performances, optimal designs of the two types were carried out and verified by comparing their performances with those of the existing rotor profiles.

  • It is the eccentricity that determines most of the characteristics of the elliptic gears. Accoding to the theoretical tooth profiles, two pairs of the elliptic gears were manufactured by using CNC wire cutting machine. For harmonious rotating motion, it is necessaryto consider operating pressure angle and module not to generate undercut. The characteristics of vibration were investigated by analyzer.

Optimal Design of Rotor Profile of Internal Gear Pump for Noise Reduction (내접형 기어펌프용 로터의 소음저감을 위한 치형 최적설계)

  • An internal gear pump is required to improve the flow rate and noise. Furthermore, such pumps are durable and small in size. In this study, equations of the rotor shape with multiple profiles (ellipse 1-involute-ellipse 2) were derived, and relevant performance parameters (pressure angle, irregularity, and specific sliding) of the internal gear pump to noise were predicted and compared. Rotor profiles and performance parameters were obtained by a prediction algorithm for theoretical analysis, and the effects between the design parameters and the performance parameters were analyzed. Based on the analysis results of the effects, an optimal design of the rotor profile was proposed, and a noise test of the prototype was performed to evaluate the reliability of the design.

  • A gerotor can be manufactured in a miniature size because it has a high discharge per cycle and a simple structure. Gerotors are widely used for the lubrication oil of an engine and as the hydraulic source of an automatic transmission. Recently, improvements in fuel efficiency and noise reduction have come to the fore in the automobile industry, and it has been necessary for better fuel efficiency to continuously improve the flow rate and noise of internal gear pumps through the optimal design of the gerotor and port shape. In this study, gerotors were generated based on the equations derived for a lobe shape with multiple profiles (ellipse 1-elliptical involute-ellipse 2). The ranges of the design parameters were considered to prevent a cusp and loop. In addition, the optimal lobe shape was obtained by determining the influence of the lobe shape on the performances (flow rate, irregularity, etc.), according to the values of the design parameters.
