This article aims to explore and discuss research trends in global cruise industry using keyword network analysis. We visualize keyword networks in each of four groups of 1982-1999, 2000-2004, 2005-2009, 2010-2014 based on the top 20 keyword nodes' degree centrality and betweenness centrality which are selected among four centrality measurements, comparing them with frequency order. The article shows that keyword frequency collected from 240 articles published in international journals is subject to Zipf's law and nodes degree distribution also exhibits power law. We try to find out research trends in global cruise industry to change some important keywords diachronically, visualizing several networks focusing on the top two keywords, cruise and tourism, belonging to all the four year groups, with high degree and betweenness centrality values. Interestingly enough, a new node, China, connecting the top most keywords, appears in the most recent period of 2010-2014 when China has emerged as one of the rapid development countries in global cruise industry. Therefore keyword network analysis used in this article will be useful to understand research trends in global cruise industry because of increase and decrease of numbers of network types in different year groups and the visual connection between important nodes in giant components.

In general, Area studies have very flexible field of research, so it is very difficult to proceed all field of research at the same time. Due to this, researches on Area studies have been changed the field of research and research trends according to age. So it is important to identify research trends for performing Area studies. Also, interests for understanding the research trend of Area studies are increasing constantly. In this paper, we analyze research trends of Mediterranean Area studies in Korea by using co-appearance keywords. To do this, we first analyze article types and extract co-appearance keywords on articles of 『Journal of Mediterranean Area Studies』, which is the representative journal of Mediterranean region in Korea. In details, trends analysis of Mediterranean Area studies would be performed by using cp-keywords of article and visualizing network graph forms.

The purpose of this study is to explore the research trends and knowledge structures of 『Journal of Elementary Mathematics Education in Korea』 by applying the keyword network analysis. To do this, we analyzed the frequency of the occurrence of keywords in the journal and conducted keyword network analysis using the Krkwic program and NodeXL program. The results of the analysis are as follows. Firstly, 749 keywords were extracted from keyword cleansing process and 48 keywords, including mathematics curriculum, mathematics textbooks, school mathematics, mathematical problem solving, mathematically gifted student, etc. appeared more than five times. Secondly, the keyword network analysis showed that the keywords-mathematics textbooks, school mathematics, mathematical problem solving, mathematical communications-have high connection centrality. Finally, we provided the limitations of this study and suggested future research.

새로운 연구를 시작하기 위해서는 과거의 연구 동향을 분석해야 한다. 이를 위해 많은 양의 과거 연구 데이터를 조사해야 하는데, 모든 데이터를 직접 분류하는 방법은 많은 시간과 노력이 필요하기 때문에 비효율적이며, 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 활용한 키워드분석만으로는 연구 동향을 이해하기에 어려움이 존재한다. 이러한 전통적인 키워드 추출 방법의 한계점을 보완하기 위해 본 논문에서는 텍스트 마이닝 기반 GPT 활용 기법을 제안한다. 본 연구에서는 특정 도메인에 대해 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 활용하여 키워드를 추출하고, 이러한 키워드를 해당 도메인의 데이터로 미세 조정(fine-tuning)된 GPT의 입력으로 사용한다. GPT 결과로 생성된 문장을 텍스트 마이닝으로 나온 결과와 비교 분석한다. 이를 통해 연구 분야의 동향 분석을 보다 쉽게 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

The present study was performed to investigate the general research trends of dyslexia and learning disability to explore the centrality of related variables though analysis of keyword networks. Data were collected from ten years articles research information sharing service(RISS) which is provided by korea education and research information service(KERIS). The research subjects selected for the analysis were keyword cleansing work, extraction major keyword using KrKwic program and using NodeXL program to Visualize the center of connection between keyword. The results of this were as follows. First, totally 72 of keyword were extracted from keyword cleansing process and among those keyword. major keywords included learning disability, dyslexia, RTI. Second, analysis of the betweenness centrality of dyslexia and learing disabilities shows that learning disabilities are a key word that has been addressed in the study of dyslexia and learning disabilities in korea. The results of these studies suggest a method of analyzing trends in qualitative and qualitative analysis in relation to dyslexia and learning disorder.

The goal of this study is to investigate domestic research trend on research data study. To achieve this goal, articles related research data topic were collected from RISS. After data cleansing, 134 author keywords were extracted from a total of 58 articles and keyword network analysis was performed. As a result, first, the number of studies related to research data in Korea is still only 58, so it was found that many related studies need to be conducted in the future. Second, most research fields related to research data were focused on library and information science among complex studies. Third, as a result of frequency analysis of author keywords related to research data, 'research data management', 'research data sharing', 'data repository', and 'open science' were analyzed as major frequent keywords, so research data-related research focuses on the above keywords. The keyword network analysis results also showed that high-frequency keywords occupy a central position in degree centrality and betweenness centrality and are located as core keywords in related studies. Through the results of this study, we were able to identify trends related to recent research data and identify areas that require intensive research in the future.

This study identifies themes and trends in maritime economics and logistics by examining 303 papers published in international journals from 2000 to 2014 using keyword network analysis. Network analysis can be used because the collected data follow Zipf's law and the power law. Utilizing the degree centrality and betweenness centrality, we find the important keywords in each five year period and determine the importance of shared keywords. To further explain keyword centralities, we invented a Delta-C algorithm to show the trends of keywords over time. We found that degree centrality is useful for identifying important research themes in each period because it is mainly concerned with the number of connections. On the other hands, betweenness centrality is useful to determine the unique themes that emerge in each of the specific periods.

The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of researches that have been conducted for the last 20 years through analyzing global research trends and evolutions of design articles from 1999 to 2018 with keyword network analysis. For this purpose, we selected 3,569 articles in 22 journals related to design research retrieved from the Scopus database and constructed keyword network model through the author keyword and index keyword. The frequency of the author and index keyword, the centrality of betweenness and degree were analyzed with the keyword network. The results show that design has been applied to various fields for recent 20 years, and the research trends of design could be quantitatively characterized by keyword network analysis. The result of this study could be used to suggest future research topics in the field of design based on quantitative and empirical data.

This study analyzes key word networks of the papers which are published at Korean Journal of Social Welfare issued by Korean Academy of Social Welfare from 1979 to 2015. It aims at investigating the trends of social welfare researches in Korea by dividing the given period into two: 1979-2000 and 2001-2015. It shows the trends in three ways: methodologies, subjects, and intellectual structures. In order to identify intellectual structure, it calculate centrality indices basing on co-appearance frequency of key words. It also derives some values which explain relationship structure of key words by using pathfinder algorithm, and finally visualizes the intellectual structures by using the NodeXL program. Some implications of the findings of these analyses are discussed in the end.

Academia and research institutes mainly use qualitative methods that rely on expert judgments to understand and predict research trends and science and technology trends. Since such a technique has the disadvantage of requiring much time and money, in this study, science and technology trends were predicted using keyword network analysis. To that end, 13,618 AI (Artificial Intelligence) patent abstracts were analyzed using keyword network analysis in three separate lots based on the period of the submission of each abstract: analysis period 1 (January 1, 2002 - December 31, 2006), analysis period 2 (January 1, 2007 - December 31, 2011), and analysis period 3 (January 1, 2012 - December 31, 2016). According to the results of frequency analyses, keywords related to methods in the field of AI application appeared more frequently as time passed from analysis period 1 to analysis period 3. In keyword network analyses, the connectivity between keywords related to methods in the field of AI application and other keywords increased over time. In addition, when the connected keywords that showed increasing or decreasing trends during the entire analysis period were analyzed, it could be seen that the connectivity to methods and management in the field of AI application was strengthened while the connectivity to the field of basic science and technology was weakened. According to analysis of keyword connection centrality, the centrality value of the field of AI application increased over time. According to analysis of keyword mediation centrality during analysis period 3, keywords related to methodologies in the field of AI application showed the highest mediation value. Therefore, it is expected that methods in the field of AI application will play the role of powerful intermediaries in AI hereafter. The technique presented in this paper can be employed in the excavation of tasks related to regional innovation or in fields such as social issue visualization.
