Felix Klein profoundly influenced mathematical developments throughout the world by showing a new direction for modem geometry. He also influenced the lives of excellent scientists like Einstein by reforming mathematical education. The first Felix Klein medal of the Internal Commission on Mathematical Instruction was awarded at ICME-10 in July of 2004. In this article, we discuss Klein's Erlangen Program and investigate his influence on modem mathematics and mathematical education with this medal as momentum.

In 1876, America's first Jewish math professor J. J. Sylvester took a department head position at the first research university in USA at the age of 61. He launched the America's first research journal of mathematics in 1877. We study the role and meaning of J. J. Sylvester, F. Klein and E. H. Moore in late 19th century of American mathematics from Korean's perspective.

Klinefelter syndrome a genetic disorder with various clinical manifestations. Neurological symptoms, such as seizures, are rarely reported with Klinefelter syndrome, and it response well to anti-epileptic drugs. A 5-month-old boy visited the Inha university hospital due to jerking movements and hiccups. The patient had been diagnosed with Klinefelter syndrome at birth and had a medical history of admission to the neonatal intensive care unit due to opisthotonus and ocular deviation at 26 days of age. The patient's serum testosterone level was decreased and his anti-$M{\ddot{u}}llerian$ hormone level was increased. The brain image examination was normal and the electoencephalography and other blood test results showed no specific findings. However, after admission, the patient recurred generalized tonic-clonic-seizures recurred intermittently even after the administration of antiepileptic drugs. This paper reports a case of non-febrile seizures in a child with Klinefelter syndrome who presented with a refractory course.

In this paper, by using Lagrange polynomial interpolation with a trick such that for $f(x)^{3}$ we shall use $f(x_i)^{3}I_i(x)^{3}$ instead of $I(x)^{3}$ where $I{x}{\;}={\;}\sum_{i}^{f}(x_i)I_i(x)$. We show the convergence and stability and calculate errors. These errors are approximately less than $C(\frac{1}{N})^{N-1} hN(N-1)(\frac{N}{2})^{N-1} /(\frac{N}{2})!$ where N is a polynomial degree.

클라이언트-서버 환경에서 공간 데이터와 같은 대용량의 데이터를 처리하는 시스템이나 다수의 클라이언트의 요구가 발생하는 시스템에서는 데이터 처리 시 발생하는 서버 I/O 연산의 수행 비용과 질의 처리비용 및 결과 데이터의 전송 비용이 서버 사이드의 병목 현상과 질의 처리속도의 저하라는 문제점을 유발한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위한 방법으로 서버 처리비용의 분산을 위한 확장된 Peer-to-peer를 지원하는 방식을 제안하며, 이러한 확장 된 Peer-to-peer방식을 지원할 수 있는 공간데이터 관리기의 설계 및 구현상황을 제안한다. 공간데이터 관리기는 서버에 접속된 클라이언트의 정보와 클라이언트에 캐쉬된 데이터의 정보를 관리하는 공간데이터 관리기의 CIT(Client Information Table)와 이 CIT에 가용한 데이트를 캐쉬한 클라이언트가 여럿인 경웨 대상 클라이언트의 선정이 요구되며, 적은 비용으로 처리 가능한 클라인트의 선정의 위한 알고리즘과 클라이언트 사이의 확장된 Peer-to-peer 방식을 지원하기 위한 서버와 클라이언트간의 데이터 일관성 유지를 위한 데이터 유효성 관리를 제안한다.
