Development of Monitoring System for Safety Operation of Crane (크레인 안전 운전을 위한 모니터링 시스템 개발)

  • In this paper, the new integrated crane monitoring system that complemented the point at issue for existing crane monitoring system is implemented. The Implementing monitoring system based on wireless communication system, consist of a measuring system of total load currents of main circuit breaker, a temperature and vibration measuring system with temperature sensors and vibration sensors for monitoring an oil and bearing of a main decelerator, a temperature measuring system with temperature sensors of a main motor bearing, and sensors for fire monitoring of an entire electrical space. The measured data from these sensors transmit main controller which is located in external location. Then the Integrating monitoring system is implemented and is performed the performance test to performing diagnosis of motors of a crane.

  • The efficient vertical lift planning has been brought into relief in high-rise building construction projects. Particularly, the selection and stability examination of the tower cranes is the most important elements in vertical lift planning. Therefore, professional knowledge is needed to full fill the site condition for the plan. However, there are short of the number of specialists and information about tower cranes. This study proposes a system for the selection of the optimum tower cranes (Opt-TC) in high-rise building construction projects. The Opt-TC can give the selection and stability examination of tower cranes at once in real-time.

  • Even though the tower crane is a major equipment in a construction of high rise buildings, there are lack of studies of it. This study is presenting a framework of developing a intelligent tower crane applied with the technology of machine-vision, RFID(Radio Frequency Identification), or GPS(Global positioning System) and proposing the prototype of machine-vision module, sub module of this Framework. Through monitoring form CCTV(Closed Circuit Television) and LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) in machine-module the real time communication between in-site workers and crane operator is possible. this will improve the productivity and safety of the tower crane.

  • Stable operation of an industry crane becomes more important as current industry facilities become larger and operate at higher speeds. This paper proposes implementing a system for monitoring moving objects within safety lines of an industry crane by camera. The cost of implementing such a system is low, since it requires only a webcam and notebook computer. The detection algorithm of moving objects uses the feature extraction method by image differential histograms. The proposed system is robust to variations in the weather and environment. The area of the inside safety lines is considered and shadow removal algorithm is used for good performance of the system. The system is valuable for practical applications in the industry.

First, the paper describes the derivation of the cycle time formula for crane simulation and the development of the simulation logic. And, the paper includes details on the design and implementation of the computer simulation system.

  • The anti-collision system is one of units for effectual operation and safety in crane operation. Most of the system have used ultrasonic to measure position and to prevent collision of crane. But, the anti-collision system using ultrasonic is fallen the reliability of performance by the change of temperature and humidity. Hence, this study proposes neural network applied to anti-collision system to improve accuracy and stability of the measured distance data, and we evaluate performance of the system. In results of experiments, the proposed method was seen that stability and accuracy of data are improved than that of the temperature compensation method.

  • 본 논문에서는 수퍼캐패시터(Supercapacitor 이하 수퍼�L)를 이용하여 엔진 발전기를 전원으로 하는 권상부하 시스템의 부하전력 분배와 회생에너지의 저장 기법을 제안한다. 대표적인 권상부하 시스템인 크레인의 경우, 크게 두가지 운전모드로 동작한다. 첫번째 운전모드는 부하를 들어올리는 동작(Hoist-Up)으로서 가속 종료시점에서 최대전력을 소모한다. 두번째 운전모드는 부하를 내리는 동작(Hoist-Down)으로서 이때 희생되는 전력은 일반적으로 저항을 통하여 소모된다. 본 논문에서는 에너지 저장장치의 하나인 수퍼�L을 이용하여 Hoist-Down 운전에서 희생되는 에너지를 저장하고 Hoist-Up 운전에서 필요한 전력을 보조하도록 하였다. 수퍼�L의 충방전을 위하여 상용 3상 인버터와 동일한 구조를 가지는 DC-DC 컨버터를 제안하였다. 또한 발전기와 수퍼캐패시터의 Load Sharing을 최적화하기 위한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법을 이용하면 디젤엔진 발전기의 크기를 대폭 줄일 수 있고 따라서 연비의 개선, 소음 및 공해의 감소를 기대할 수 있다. 제안한 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 시뮬레이션과 실험을 수행하였다.

  • A search algorithm for the collision free, time optimal transport path of overhead cranes has been proposed in this paper. The map for the working environment of overhead cranes was constructed in the form of three dimensional grid. The obstacle occupied region and unoccupied region of the map has been represented using the octree model. The best-first search method with a suitable estimation function was applied to select the knot points on the collision free transport path to the octree model. The optimization technique, minimizing the travel time required for transporting objects to the goal while subjected to the dynamic constraints of the crane system, was developed to find the smooth time optimal path in the form of cubic spline functions which interpolate the selected knot points. Several simulation results showed that the selected estimation function worked effectively insearching the knot points on the collision free transport path and that the resulting transport path was time optimal path while satisfying the dynamic constraints of the crane system.

  • Various safety accidents occur frequently at construction sites due to poor operation of construction machines and insufficient safety facilities. Among them, safety accidents on the Tawerkrain have resulted in massive casualties and property damage. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop safety devices to prevent safety accidents in the Tower Crane. To this end, the existing safety device was explored and the model of the Tower Crane was constructed using Arduino. The weight of the object, the weight of the pendulum, and the distance from the center axis, as well as the equation of turning and experimentation, suggested mobile weights as a safety device to identify and resolve problems with existing safety devices. This is expected to minimize the limit on the salvage distance of the tower crane, thus providing a safer working environment away from the risk of a safety accident.

  • By growing the capacity of container in the world, main container terminal in countries introduces the automated container equipments and try to improve the productivity for handling the container. ARMC(Automated Rail Mounted Crane) is installed in automated container terminal and expected the high efficiency of productivity by using minimum-time control method. However recently by the GREEN Port policy, high energy efficiency method for container equipments is importance issue in ports. In this paper, the 3-dimensional modelling of AMRC is discussed and the acceleration characteristics for ARMC is analyzed By using the results of this paper, the advanced controller for the crane will be developed in future.
