  • 세계는 자원쟁탈전장으로 변모하는 느낌을 주고 있는 가운데 세계경제가 석유에 얼마나 크게 좌우되고 있는가는 두 차례에 걸친 석유 파동에 의하여 여실히 증명된 바 있다. 더욱이 석유가 격의 불안정한 상황하에서 자동차에 있어서 필수적인 석유에 대한 소비절약은 자동차산업에 절 대적인 과제가 될 것이며, 이밖에 안전, 고해, 소음 등에 대한 각국의 규제가 1980년대에는 더욱 가중될 것으로 보인다. 또한 고객은 정부의 볍규제와는 달리 보다 개선된 쾌적성, 자동차 및 부품에 대한 신뢰성, 내구성 및 정비성 등을 자동차업계에 강요하게 될 것이다. 따라서 자동차설 계자나 제조기술자는 이 양대요구사항들을 만족시키기 위하여 어떤 방안을 강구할 것인지 각종 문헌을 토대로 예측하여 보기로 한다.

Assessment Items for the Level of Service for Tunnel Facilities from an Asset Management Perspective (자산관리관점에서 터널시설물의 서비스 수준 평가항목에 관한 연구)

  • Korea was followed by a rapid increase in road construction investment in late 1980s with the help of strong economic conditions. As a result of such investment, it will be expected that there must be a rapid increase in demand for maintenance or rehabilitation of the facilities after 2010. We are developing asset management information systems for enhancing user's satisfaction and innovating the facility management techniques within a limited budget. We suggested the assessment items for the Level of Service for tunnel facility's operation and maintenance(O&M), in this study. We have surveyed for the importance of assessment items by considering both user's viewpoints and facility management agency's viewpoints. We came to realize the relative importance of the items based on this survey using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) method proposed by Satty. The relative importance of assessment items in terms of the user's viewpoint was identified in descending order such as safety, mobility, accessibility, convenience, O&M efficiency, comfort, rural revitalization, environment, and information. Also, the importance of the items in terms of the management agency's viewpoint was identified in descending order such as safety, mobility, accessibility, environment, rural revitalization, convenience, O&M efficiency, information, and comfort. It means that safety of tunnel facilities is more important than mobility, although which is the basic function of the road facility, both in agency's and user's concern. Therefore, the agencies have to pay more attentions and efforts to ensure safety of tunnel facilities when they establish the investment plans for the tunnel facility O&M.

Characteristics of Housing ownership Structure and Residential Location Preference of Korean Immigrants: Case Study of Korean Immigrants in Washington State (한인 이주민의 주택 소유구조 및 주거입지 선호 특성 -미국 워싱턴 주 사례를 중심으로-)

  • This paper aims at, analyzing the characteristics of immigration path, residential status and residential location preference of Korean immigrants in Washington State of United State. The main results of this study are as follows. Firstly, according to the questionnaire survey results, respondents tend to prefer own housing as their incomes are higher. Secondly, Location factors which respondents most prefer are safety, natural environment and school district. Thirdly, household income influences the housing ownership rate of respondents, according to the result of binomial logistic regression analysis on the impact of individual characteristics of the respondents on the housing ownership structure. Finally, according to the results of logistic regression analysis on the impact of individual characteristics and housing ownership structure of the respondents on the residential location preferences, (1) respondents who own housings more prefer school district as residential location factor, (2) respondents their age are over 40 years old prefer safety/amenity as residential location factor, (3) respondents their immigration period are more than 10 years prefer safety/amenity as residential location factor, (4) respondents their initial immigration region are not Washington state prefer safety/amenity as residential location factor.

Analysis for Willingness to Pay of the Advanced Railway System (차세대전동차 시스템 도입에 따른 이용자 지불의사금액 결정요인분석)

  • Research and development related to advanced railway systems is currently underway presently to promote the maintenance and economic feasibility of subways, and the aim of such research and development is to enhance the functionality, passenger convenience, system safety and reliability assurance of the subway. In this situation, a study that predicts the effect that the development of such an advanced railway system would have on subway users is required. To this end, this study derived willingness to pay and decision factors with the introduction of an advanced railway system after surveying passengers who use subway lines 1~8. The Price Sensitivity Method (PSM) was applied to derive the willingness to pay in relation to user convenience (operating speed, ride comfort, safety, comfort, security and informativeness) with the introduction of an advanced railway system. In addition, willingness to pay and decision factors were examined after explaining the effects of introducing an advanced railway system in detail to subway users. Through the analysis, it was found that willingness to pay amounted to a premium of 148 won ~ 161 won with the introduction of an advanced railway system, and that this was affected by factors such as gender, frequency of use, satisfaction with comfort, and satisfaction with security.

차량 탑재용 항법 장치의 기술 동향

  • 현재 차량 항법 장치는 최근 급속하게 발달한 전자기술을 활용하여 단순한 차량의 자유이동 기능에서 운전자에게 안전성, 효율성, 편의성, 가격 등을 보장할 뿐만 아니라 운전자에게 경로를 안내하거나 교통 정보를 제공하는 정보 제공 장치로 도약하고 있다. 그러나 앞으로 이같은 단순 정보 전달 기능을 초월하여 보다 효율적이고 안전한 운행이 가능한 지능적인 기능을 수행케 될 것이다. 즉, 도로상의 센서와 같은 교통 정보 수집체계와 통신체계 등을 활용하여 실시간 교통 상황 정보를 제공하여 쾌적한 추행환경 및 차량 제어 시스템과 연계하여 안전주행에 기여할 수 있다.

Satisfaction Evaluation for the Pedestrian Improvement of Street Spaces - Focused on the Commercial and Residential Areas in the First District of Administrative-Centered City - (가로공간 보행증진을 위한 보행만족도 평가 - 행정중심복합도시 1지구 상업·주거지역을 대상으로 -)

  • A new urban paradigm that moves from a vehicle-centric to pedestrian-centric culture should be considered to improve the quality of the pedestrian environments for women, children, senior citizens, and disabled persons as well as to promote community unification by providing general movement rights to everyone. This study was implemented to provide decent alternatives to improve street spaces. The street spaces around the Commercial and Residential Area No.1 located in the Administrative-Centered City, Sejong Special Autonomic City, were selected to analyze and define the status of the walkways and the street spaces. Satellite imagery and numerical maps were used to collect geographic data. Practical and actual surveys for the selected sites were performed to analyze the street status and the pedestrian status. Based on the all collected data, analysis results, and literature reviews, the questionnaire was made, and 315 inquiries qualified for analysis. The physical status of all four study sites was the highest level, Grade A, and green open spaces were relatively sufficient. As a result, the factors obtained from the factor analysis have an impact on the satisfaction of the pedestrian streets in the commercial area. The factors are as followed Design > Convenience > Roadside trees and rest areas > Safety > Safety protective facilities > Transportation and information facilities > Continuity > Basic state of road surfaces > Comfortability, and in the residential area: Transportation and information facilities > Basic state of road surfaces > Comfort > Convenience > Continuity > Design > Illumination and crime prevention facilities > Safety > Roadside trees and rest areas.

A Study on the Solution of School Zone Problems (어린이 보호구역의 문제점 및 대책에 관한 연구 - 광주광역시 남구를 중심으로 -)

  • 본 논문은 학교 권역의 도로 및 교통요건을 조사하여 어린이 보호구역의 지정 및 관리기준의 적용 실태와 문제점 등을 분서하며, 어린이 보호구역의 조성기준을 적정화하고 체계적인 대책을 수립하는데 목적이 있다. 먼저 어린이 보호구역의 이론적 고찰을 통해 어린이 보호구역이 지정·관리기준 및 외국의 School Zone 사례를 살펴보았다. 현재 어린이 보호구역으로 지정·관리되고 있는 광주시 남구의 14개 초등학교를 대상으로 어린이 보호구역별 도로 및 교통현황과 함께 적용되고 있는 어린이 보호구역의 지정 범위 및 교통규제, 중요안전 시설물의 설치현황 등을 조사하였다. 또 연도주민의 설문을 통해 보행의 안전성과 교통사고의 위험성 등을 조사·분석하였다. 그 결과 12m 이하의 이면도로가 전체대상 통학로의 64.6%에 해당되며, 2차로 이상의 도로는 35.4%로서 이면도로에 접하는 초등학교가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 또 교통규제방안으로 시행되고 잇는 것은 8개 초등학교의 시차별 주차규제와 4개 초등학교의 총 10개의 과속방지턱이 설치되어 있을 뿐이다. 또한 설문을 통해 보행환경의 위험성을 분석한 결과 차량의 속도와 주차차량에 의한 통행 방해나 사고위험을 가장 많이 인식함에 따라 그에 따른 안전시설의 추가 설치가 뒤따라야 하겠다. 이러한 어린이 보호구역에서의 어린이나 보행자의 안전성과 쾌적성을 증진시키기 위해서는 무엇보다도 안전시설의 설치에 따른 유지 및 관리가 중요하다.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of housing planning in 23 wards of the Tokyo Metropolitan Area. First, the present residential conditions in the 23 wards were investigated. And then we analyzed the basic purpose and individual policies of Housing Master Plan in the 4 wards. In this study, it was found that the basic purpose of Housing Master Plan can be classified into three parts: amenity, safety, and diversity. Analyzing the individual policies, it was found that the priority are given to safety and diversity out of the those three parts.

Methodology for Evaluating Cycling Environment using GPS-based Probe Bicycle Speed Data (GPS프로브 자전거 주행속도를 이용한 자전거 주행환경 평가방법론)

  • The bicycle is an environment-friendly transport mode leading to a more sustainable transportation system. To innovatively increase the use of bicycle as a significant transport mode, bicycling-friendly roadway environment should be provided. From this perspective, the scientific and effective assessment of roadway environment in term of the bicyclist perception for safety and comfortability is of keen interest. This study develops a methodology for evaluation cycling environment using probe bicycles. A global positioning system(GPS) based speedometer was used to collect bicycle speed data. Cycling comfortability index(CCI) was derived for the purpose of evaluating cycling environment. The proposed CCI can be effectively used as an assessment tool in the field of bicycle transportation.
