Among biological information, GenBank, provided by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)of the United States, is a representative database on genetic information and is the most widely used by researchers around the world. Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) visits NCBI on a regular basis and downloads the latest version of GenBank to reorganize the information gathered there into a database. This database is provided for Korean researchers of science and technology through the Bio-KRISTAL search engine, developed by KISTI. This study aims to design a service model that links information on papers, patents, and biodiversity and other contents of NDSL, an integrated service on scientific and technological information run by KISTI, with GenBank's reference and organism fields and to develop a prototype system. For this purpose, this paper explores the possibility of a linkage and convergence service between heterogeneous content by: (a) collecting GenBank data from NCBI's FTP site; (b) dividing GenBank text files into basic and reference genetic information and restructuring them into a database; (c) extracting article and patent information from the GenBank reference fields to generate new tables; and (d) leveraging data mapping technology to implement a prototype system where GenBank and NDSL data are interlinked and provided.

A development of the Digital Media through media convergency is creating various contents business. Basically, contentware can be explained as something watching, listening or enjoying. It has been developing to tie a moving image with a sound and a game; something that was in the entertainment business in the past. The good way to get an insight on effectiveness of the multimedia contentware would be though the understanding of the change of communication style in digital medium. Thus, this paper covers the effectiveness problems in the semantic level rather than the accuracy and efficiency in the syntactic level in the digital media mediated communication. As the trends of the media cornsumption is moving toward more an interesting way, it is essential to build up commoness in terms of sympathy between a contentware and user. So this paper introduces the concept of commom fields of experience through the fundamentals of the phatic communication as a way to architect the multimedia content effectively.

최근 DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting)서비스 활성화를 위한 맞춤시청형 DMB 방송 서비스를 제공하기 위해 한국정보통신기술협회 (TTA)에서는 DMB ECG (Electronic Content Guide) XML (eXtensible Markup Language) 표준의 재정 및 개정 작업을 완료하였다. 한국전자통신연구원 (ETRI) 에서는 DMB ECG XML 표준 및 DMB ECG 서비스의 유효성 검증을 위해 DMB ECG 메타데이터의 저작 단계에서 단말단의 소비에 이르는 맞춤시청형 DMB 시스템을 개발하였다. DMB ECG 메타데이터는 맞춤시청형 방송 서비스 제공을 위해 서브시스템 사이에 전달되는 핵심 요소로서 이를 저작, 관리 및 전송하기 위한 새로운 시스템이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 DMB ECG XML 표준의 소개와 맞춤시청형 DMB 시스템의 전체 구조 및 메타데이터의 관리를 위한 서브시스템의 세부 구조와 기능에 대해 기술한다.

스마트폰 보급의 급격한 증가로 도서관 정보이용환경에 많은 변화가 생겨나게 되었다. 이와 같은 환경변화에 가장 빠르고 민감하게 대응하고 있는 것은 대학도서관이다. 대학도서관은 모바일서비스의 중요성을 인식하고 현재 모바일서비스 구축에 많은 관심을 보이고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 392개의 대학을 대상으로 도서관 모바일서비스 현황을 조사하고, 현재 모바일서비스 중인 대학도서관 모바일 웹 11개, 대학도서관 모바일 앱 10개, 도서관기능을 포함한 대학 앱 87개의 콘텐트 구성을 분석하였다. 현황조사와 콘텐트 구성 분석결과를 통해 대학도서관 모바일 서비스의 향후 발전 방안을 제시한다.

Content Centric Network (CCN) has been introduced as a new paradigm due to a shift of users's perspective of using Internet from host-centric to content-centric. On the other hand, a demand for video streaming has been increasing. Thus, Adaptive streaming has been introduced and researched for achieving higher user's satisfaction. If an architecture of Internet is replaced with CCN architecture, it is necessary to consider adaptive video streaming in CCN according to the demand of users. However, if the same rate decision algorithm used in Internet is deployed in CCN, there are a limitation of utilizing content store (CS) in CCN router and a problem of reflecting dynamic requirements. Therefore, this paper presents a framework adequate to CCN protocol and cache utilization, adapting content naming method of exploiting regular expression to the rate decision algorithm of the existing adaptive streaming. In addition, it also improves the quality of video streaming and verifies the performance through dynamic expression strategies and selection algorithm of the strategies.

The unit of the digital content delivery is the web object. For the improvement of the content delivery based on the web, it id required analysis of reference characteristics of the web object. In this study, we analyze reference characteristics of the web object and evaluate the performance. Using these analysis results, we propose the digital content delivery system which is improved delivery efficiency. The goal of the proposed system are the improvement of the processing time through enhancement of the caching efficiency with reflect reference characteristics of the web object. And the experiment result, we verify the performance enhancement.

This paper has studied the concept and technical factors of e-Learning system to which we intend to apply domestic biodiversity information. This article describes how we analyzed and designed the e-learning system to serve biodiversity information as e-Learning contents. It would be useful for the public and students if this information are organized and provided as e-learning contents especially in our country which has well-established network infrastructure considering the limited land space. It is expected that the establishment of e-Learning system based on this proposed design will help students and public to access and team biodiversity on cyber space.

유비쿼터스 서비스 인프라로 부각되고 있는 P2P(Peer-to-Peer) 네트워크는 사용자 제작 콘텐트, 동영상, 파일 등으로 대표되는 지식 콘텐트뿐만 아니라, 컴퓨터 및 네트워크 자원(Resource)을 다양한 환경에서 N 대 N의 형태로 상호 공유 및 분배할 수 있는 구조적 가능성을 제공하고 있다. 그러나 "Open, Dynamic, Anonymous" 등의 특성을 기반으로 하는 P2P 네트워크는 신뢰적 ID(Identity) 생성 및 관리 그리고 이의 적절한 인증에 대한 지원 없이는 현실적으로 잠재적인 보안 위협에 노출되는 제약이 따르게 된다. 한편, 최근 금융보안업계가 주축이 되어 일회용패스워드로 지칭되는 OTP(One Time Password) 인증 메커니즘(Authentication Mechanism)을 제 1 등급 보안방법으로 명시화하고 있고, 온라인 업계에서도 이를 활용하는 기술적 시도 및 개발 사례가 늘어나고 있어, OTP 기술의 보안성 검토 및 활용 범위를 확대하는 방안에 대한 논의의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본고에서는 이러한 기술적 흐름 및 산업계 동향에 발맞춰 P2P 네트워크에서 사용자 인증을 위해 OTP 메커니즘을 활용하기 위한 방안에 대해 검토하고 이의 적용 가능성을 분석한다.
