This study is to look into the effectiveness of fall-preventive occupational therapy of elderly by clarifying the influence of occupational therapy applied to female elderly in the community upon balance ability. A 6-week occupational therapy program including both training and exercise for prevention of fall down was applied by dividing into 13 persons of experimental group and 13 persons of control group for female elderly aged more than 65 years who were capable of independence gait and have not taken any drug to adversely affect balance. For balance ability assessment, the Berg balance scale and the Tetrax fall index were used. The Berg balance scale in experimental group was shown to be 48.38 to 50.69 through the 6-week program, indicating changes in significance level(p=.017). The Tetrax fall index in experimental group was shown to be 46.77 to 35.54 through the 6-week program(p=.000). Changes in significance level were not found for both the Berg balance scale and the Tetrax fall index in control group. As seen from the results of this study, it is found that 6-week application of the fall-preventive occupational therapy program including fall prevention training and exercise was effective for promotion of elderly's balance ability, and further studies just on the effect of fall prevention training are required to be made.
e-Learning has been mushrooming with wide range of teaming groups from pedagogy to andragogy As e-teaming opportunities increase, many people raise question about whether e-teaming show positive teaming effects. The related research emphasized that e-learning would be a failure in terms of understanding of e-Learners and activating intuitive teaming activities from learner's long-term memory span. The e-teaming strategies based on the traditional classroom and resulted boring and ineffective teaming outcomes, should be changed to provide authentic and effective teaming results. This paper analyzed that how learners have received e-Learning for the last few years from the research and explained what could be the failing aspects in e-Learning. To be successful, e-loaming should consider the e-learner's individualized teaming style and thinking patterns. When considering of various e-Learning components, the quality of e-teaming should not be focused on any specific single factor, but develop every individual factor to be integrated into high level of quality. In conclusion, this paper suggest that it is needed new understandings of e-Loaming and e-Learner. Also the e-Learning strategies should be examined throughly whether they are on the side of learners and realized how they learn from e-Learning. Finally, we should add enormous imagination into e-loaming for next generation because new generation's teaming patterns significantly differ from their parent's generation.
These days, corporations which are eager to improve employees' performance and focus on consistent management highlight core values and core value education. The purpose of this research is to present a case study on the core value education administered by large corporations, to analyze and compare them, and finally present implications for the core value education. For this purpose, 5 large corporations in Korea have been selected. The data was collected from secondary sources and through interviews with the present and former educators in charge of core value education of those corporations. This study found that 5 large corporations commonly considered their core value as a main source of competitiveness and focused on the systematic core value education. But at the same time, each of them chose its own way to educate employees. Their strategies, management methods, and connection to the personnel policy differed in details. 5 large corporations were shown that they reached the level of understanding and empathy, but only 2 large corporations were interviewed as to reach the level of practice. To make core value internalized in the employees' thoughts and acts, it is required to strengthen alliance between core values and work which encourages worker's real practice in their daily lives, to have a diverse curriculum according to the work categories and regions, and to emphasize the connection with other policies especially evaluation policy.
The purposes of this study are to identify how university's entrance examination system is related to private education, and to explore how to improve the university of education entrance system in order to reduce private education costs. For these purposes, 116 teachers of senior students in high school in Daegu and Gyeongbuk and 107 pre-service teachers who had experienced the entrance of the university were surveyed in order to find out the perception of the relationship between admissions elements and private education. As a result, it is possible to concentrate more on school education by strengthening high school grades in the entrance examination. However, there was other opinion that the strengthening high school grades in the university entrance could lead to the further increase in the cost of private education. As there are big differences in the perception of the screening factors between rural areas (Gyeongsangbuk-do) and large cities (Daegu), it is necessary to introduce the entrance examination system considering the characteristics of each region. Third-year teachers in high schools argued that university admissions should reduce the rate of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) and increase the rate of interviews. The results of this study suggest that the improvement of the university entrance examination system to reduce the cost of private tutoring requires securing fairness of document evaluation, strengthening interviews, and opening interview questions.
The purpose of this study is to identify the differential effects of transformational leadership and organizational justice on psychological contract breach and work engagement, and to suggest practical implications. To this purpose, this study theoretically references equity theory which recognizes the relationship between organizational input and output, social exchange theory which explains the exchange relationship between members and organization, and job demand-resource (JD-R) model that combines job demands and job resources. A empirical study was conducted on 277 employees at 18 companies of diverse industries including manufacturing, distribution, and finance, and to eliminate the common method bias problem, the dependent variable was measured using peer evaluation. The results of this study showed that: 1) both transformational leadership and organizational justice had a significant positive effect on work engagement and significant negative effect on psychological contract breach; and 2) psychological contract breach played a partial mediating role in the relationship between transformational leadership and work engagement as well as between organizational justice and work engagement. Therefore, this study suggests that, as organizational justice has stronger influence on work engagement and psychological contract breach than transformational leadership, organizations should not only train its leaders but also guarantee fairness.
The purpose of this study was to determine the impact in visitors' spending on two separate local festivals, and to present the improved market strategies to attract visitors to revisit the local festivals. This study was also intended to suggest the ways to increase the competitiveness and revitalize the local festivals by improving the existing attractions and creating new attractions based on the visitors' evaluation. On the purpose of the study, we studied the visitors of two local ricefests, Icheon Rice Cultural Festival and Rice Festival in Jincheon Chungbuk, and estimated the determinants influencing the visitors' spending to the festivals by applying Tobit model. Finally, to estimate the behavioral differences in visitors of the two festivals, we compared the estimated determinants for the visitors of each festival by using Log-likelihood Ratio, and analyzed the differences in the factors influencing the visitors' spending. Summarizing the propensity of visitor's spending to local festivals, visitors of two rice festivals buy or tended to buy things on impulse. Therefore, festival industry needs to take measures to efficiently accommodate their expenditures from the stage of designing festivals.

The market share of private brand(PB) is growing at a rapid pace. Based on the previous studies, consumers pay more attention to the extrinsic cues when they buy the PB products. This paper proposes an integrated model to examine how the retailer credibility which is one of the important extrinsic cues affects perceived quality variation, value consciousness, attitude to PB, and PB product purchase intention. Also, familiarity with PB is regarded as a moderating variable that can interact with retailer credibility. An analysis of 199 useable questionnaires found that retailer credibility has a significant impact on the attitude to PB, directly and indirectly. Further, the moderating effect of familiarity with PB was significant. For this, we interpret that when consumers are more familiar with the private brand, they tend to have few bias toward the quality of PB. These findings provide several effective strategies for the development of PB, such that retailers must improve consumer's familiarity with PB via various promotions like free samples or testing events. Academic and practical implications of the study findings and future research directions are also discussed.
This study aims at proposing clear direction of tourism policy through analyzing the correlation between tourism resource, tourism system and activation of regional economic. A total of 283 samples were ultimately collected in survey of 300 researchers from the national and public institutes in provinces Chungchong-do and Kyungsang-do in July 2010 alone. SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 6.0 were used to test the model. Analysis showed that the more regional tourism resources have more significant effect on tourism system and tourist-attracting strategy, and that tourism system exerts influence on tourist-attracting strategy. So it was proved that the tourism policy effects meaningfully on vitalization of regional economic, and it was confirmed that the tourism system is more effective on the energization of regional economic than the tourist-attracting strategy. But the hypothesis has been rejected unexpectedly that tourist attractions have consequences for the activation of regional economic. It establishes the fact that it is useless for regional economy regardless of abundant regional tourism resources, if the tourism policy is not concretely in force. Therefore, Korean government must intercept overissue and overlapping investments on tourism development by the local government and induce qualitative growth of tourism sector through upgrading of development guidelines and the criteria for selecting tourism special zone, regional festival and cultural assets, and its continuous assessment and management. And it is desirable to enforce the connected cooperation projects between local governments and the 5+2 great-sphere economic blocs on government-level.
In this thesis, a field experience activity support system is designed and implemented for improving social skills of children with developmental disabilities. The proposed system is designed to allow the students to experience various field activities around their local community. The proposed system has the following characteristics. First, it can improve effectiveness of field experience by providing very practical pre-study information to students. Second, the systems provides very practical and real-world problem-solving abilities rather than providing simple experience and superficial information. Third, the system allows students to change the contents according to their local community environments and purpose of use. Fourth, the system can be used as education for living at home as well as field experience study at schools. After applying the proposed system to students with developmental disabilities, the following positive results are obtained. First, the system have good effect on students with severe developmental disabilities when the system is used for prestudy. Specially those students are highly interested and motivated on study subjects. Second, at real field experience study place, students are well adapted and are very interested in their activities. Third, in the light of post-evaluation after field experience, it is reported that lots of study contents remain in their memory.
