Effective Recommendation Method Adaptive to Multiple Contexts in Ubiquitous Environments (유비쿼터스 환경에서 다중 상황 적응적인 효과적인 권유 기법)

  • In ubiquitous environments, recommendation service based on multiple contexts is required. The total amount of information is larger due to the greater number of contexts in multiple context environments. This paper proposes a new effective recommendation method adaptive to multiple contexts in ubiquitous environments. A new method of recommendations in multiple context environments is suggested that uses user's preferences and behavior as a weighting factor. This paper describes the recommendation method, scenario and the experimental results. The results verify that the proposed method's recommendation performance is better than other existing method.

  • In this paper we implemented the Real Time Contrast Enhancer for image quality enhancement of moving picture. Also we proposed adaptive contrast method that use mean and variance of input video signal. The Designed the contrast Enhancer is measured in comparison with conventional picture and interfaced to 30inch TFT LCD TV of the LG Electronics.

  • 가상현실 기술의 발전으로 보다 많은 사람이 가상현실 콘텐츠를 즐길 수 있게 되었다. PC나 스마트폰과 같은 이전의 콘텐츠 플랫폼과 달리 가상현실에서는 3차원 정보를 전달할 수 있는 인터페이스가 요구된다. 2차원에서 3차원으로의 변화는 보다 높은 자유도를 가지는 반면, 사용자는 새로운 인터페이스에 적응해야 하는 불편함 또한 존재한다. 이러한 불편함을 해소하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 가상현실상에서 음성과 손동작을 결합한 인터페이스를 제안한다. 제안하는 인터페이스는 음성과 손동작은 현실 세계에서의 의사소통을 모방하여 구현하였다. 현실 세계의 의사소통을 모방하였기 때문에 사용자는 추가적인 학습이 없이 가상현실 플랫폼에 보다 쉽게 적응할 수 있다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 가상객체를 생성하는 예제를 통하여 기존의 3차원 입력장치를 대신할 수 있음을 보인다.

  • We propose the Hybrid Rendering model to support multi-resolution for computer graphics. LOD method for computer graphics system considering performance of device environment and end-user preference usually adopts mesh resolution, mipmap in texture rendering, or oct-tree data structure in ray tracing. The hybrid rendering model, as a local shading model combining Gouraud shading model and a flat shading model, applies a proper shading method to each of polygons consisting of an object. This method can be an effective alternative to reduce real-time rendering time so that it can be utilized in real time adaptive service of computer graphic contents among various device environments under ubiquitous environments.

Levels and their Correlations of Decision-Making-Competency, Adjustment to College Life, Satisfaction to College Life in Freshmen (전문대학 신입생의 의사결정역량, 대학생활적응, 대학생활만족도 정도 및 상관성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the levels and to analyze their correlations of decision-making-competency, adjustment to college life, satisfaction to college life in freshmen. The subjects were 325 freshmen. Data were collected through structured questionnaire from September to October, 2009, and analyzed with SPSS 17.0. The results of this study were as follows: decision-making-competency of college freshmen was $61.77{\pm}7.70$, adjusting to college life was $60.97{\pm}8.94$, and satisfaction to college life was $57.97{\pm}10.80$. Relationships between adjusting to college life and decision-making-competency in college freshmen (r=.159, p<.001), between decision-making-competency and satisfaction to college life (r=.121, p<.05), between adjustment to college life and satisfaction to college life (r=.543, p<.001) showed a statistically significant positive correlations. These results will be used for developing programs for the college freshmen in adjusting to college life and student dropout prevention.

The Relationship Between Elementary School Students' Family Health and Internet Addiction: School Adjustment as a Mediating Variable (초등학생의 가족건강성과 인터넷 중독 간의 관계 : 학교적응을 매개변인으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among three factors such as the family health, school adjustment and internet addiction, and their subordinated factors. The research is going to clarify if school adjustment has mediating effect in the relationship between the family health and internet addiction. 371 of elementary school students resideing in Dadjeon-city completed questionnaires assessing family health, school adjustment and internet addiction. The sample variance-covariance matrix was analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 20.0, the mazimum likelihood minimization function. The goodness of fit was evaluated using the SRMR, RMSEA and its 90% confidence interval, CFI, and TLI. The results are as follows: First, there were significant correlations among family health, school adjustment and internet addiction. Second, the subordinated factors in the family health, school adjustment, and internet addiction regulation are also closely related in the statistically significant positive relationship excepting school adjustment. After conducting the Covariance Structure Analysis to verify the mediating effect of school adjustment in the relationship between the family health and internet addiction, we found that it was appropriate to explain our findings with the structural equation model. when the family health has an effect on internet addiction, the school adjustment partially influences this process. Finally, educational implications and suggestions for future studies are addressed.

The Relationship Between Social Stigma and Psychosocial Adjustment in Out-of-School Youth: The Moderating Effects of Self-concept Clarity (학교 밖 청소년의 사회적 낙인과 심리사회적 적응 간의 관계: 자기개념 명확성의 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of social stigma on psychosocial adjustment in out-of-school youth and the moderating effects of self-concept clarity on the relationship between social stigma and psychosocial adjustment. The subjects in this study were out-of-school youth who resided in the city of Busan, on whom a survey was conducted. The findings of the study were as follows: First, social stigma was found to have exercised a negative influence on self-concept clarity. Second, social stigma was found to have exercised a negative influence on psychosocial adjustment. Third, self-concept clarity was found to have exercised a negative influence on psychosocial adjustment. Fourth, self-concept clarity was found to have had moderating effects on the relationship between social stigma and psychosocial adjustment. This study is of significance in that it attempted to seek ways of improving the psychosocial adjustment of out-of-school youth and urged offering counseling intervention geared toward boosting self-concept clarity by analyzing the moderating effects of self-concept clarity on the relationship between social stigma and psychosocial adjustment.

The Mediating Effects of Communication Skill on the Relationship between Perceived Social Support and School Adjustment of High School Students in Multicultural Families (다문화가정 고등학생이 지각한 사회적지지가 학교적응에 미치는 영향: 의사소통능력의 매개효과)

  • This research investigated the mediating effects of communication skills in the relationship between perceived social support and school adjustment of high school students in the multicultural families, South Korea. The high school students from one to three degree in the school, who are joined the center for multicultural families in Kyeonggi-do province, were participated in the survey for this research. Total 110 were analysed using SPSS version 23.0, and used a correlation and regression analyses, proposed by Baron and Kenny(1986), to estimate the relationships between research variables. The results were as follows: First, perceived social support, communication skills and school adjustment were significant associated each other, and had positive correlations. Secondly, communication skilsl of multicultural families' high school students in South Korea had partial mediating effects on the relationship between perceived social support and school adjustment. Based on these findings, the limitations and implications of this research were discussed.
