Item Trend Analysis Considering Social Network Data in Online Shopping Malls (온라인 쇼핑몰에서 소셜 네트워크 데이터를 고려한 상품 트렌드 분석)

  • As consumers' consumption activities become more active due to the activation of online shopping malls, companies are conducting item trend analyses to boost sales. The existing item trend analysis methods are analyzed by considering only the activities of users in online shopping mall services, making it difficult to identify trends for new items without purchasing history. In this paper, we propose a trend analysis method that combines data in online shopping mall services and social network data to analyze item trends in users and potential customers in shopping malls. The proposed method uses the user's activity logs for in-service data and utilizes hot topics through word set extraction from social network data set to reflect potential users' interests. Finally, the item trend change is detected over time by utilizing the item index and the number of mentions in the social network. We show the superiority of the proposed method through performance evaluations using social network data.

  • In selecting a company of A-E service provider for a public construction project, public owners make widely use the evaluation method based on the quantitative criteria to emphasize transparency and fairness instead of putting more weighting on bidders' technical capability. The selection method and process to select technically better company has been in discussion to motivate company to build up their technical capability and better quality of service. This paper examined US laws and regulations related to evaluating and selecting an A-E company for public construction project in terms of principles, process, selection committee, evaluation methods, and contract management and so on. Then deduced several implications for domestic public owner to select the most adequate company for a certain architectural service through fair and efficient way. The major findings are technical capability based selection, emphasizing owner's role and responsibility, consideration of small and mid-sized company, debriefing, and post-service evaluation.

Structural Causal Relationships between Store Image Components and Satisfaction, Trust, Loyalty in Grocery Retailing Stores (식품소매점 이미지 구성요인과 만족, 신뢰, 충성도 간 구조적 인과관계)

  • This paper is to identify how variety of products, product quality, guarantees, employee services and physical environment of store which is considered to store image components influence on satisfaction and loyalty, which in turn effects on loyalty in grocery retailing stores. A survey was conducted to collect the data with consumers who had the actual purchase experience within 1 years in grocery retailing stores. Analysis of structural equation modeling with SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 16.0 were performed to test the research hypothesis. The result of the study as follows: First, product quality and employee services influence on both satisfaction and trust, but physical environment of store are effects on satisfaction only. Second, no store image components influence on loyalty. Finally, satisfaction was effect on both trust and loyalty, whereas trust was not effect on loyalty. In order to build strong customer loyalty, marketer have to strengthen the relationship quality such as satisfaction and trust, and formed through store image components that is much stronger on loyalty.

  • The customer retention of internet shopping mall become important nowadays as internet shopping mall is expanding quickly. In this situation, the present study aims to analyze the components of internet shopping mall service quality and it's relationship with satisfaction, and retention. The CRM is a very important point for company marketing, it is also necessary to construct trust and commitment. Especially it has been recognized that when we deal with online shopping, the correlation with customers is very important. At this point one purpose of this study is to find out those effects on satisfaction of the service quality. Another purpose is to find the factors which effect retention. Structural equation modeling is used to test the model building in this paper based on the data from survey of 223 online shopping mall customers. The results in the study provide our supports to the model and indicate that: first, service quality has a positive effect on satisfaction. Second, satisfaction, trust and commitment have strong relations and they affect customer retention in the internet shopping mall service.

  • The purpose of the study was to divide social commerce websites' information into components of product, price, service, and seller information, and to systematically analyze each component of information. A content analysis was used as a research methodology, and 100 webpages from social commerce websites were analyzed. As results, the social commerce websites provided basic information (front view, fabric contents, country of origin, care, color, size) for product information and emphasized price information, including discount rates, sales dues, product quantity, and the amount of products sold. They basically provided expected delivery date, delivery company, Q&A, and return/refund service for service information. In addition, they basically presented brand logo and brand name but need to add information about brand concepts, history and volume as seller information. This study suggested diverse theoretical and practical implications of social commerce information.

  • Nowadays changes of financial environment are internalization, generalization and autonomous system. The most importance in a struggle for existence is to secure a customer. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether information on financial service accounts have fully offered over internet, which information consumers needed in buying financial service accounts and whether consumer have satisfied with offered information Through this, to enhance the efficiency of financial information offered to consumer over internet and to explore the consumer demanding information model by finding the problems of offering financial information. The specific purpose of this study me following; 1. to investigate the actual situation which consumers behaviour of information providing and choosing about financial accounts items on internet. 2. to analyze the relationship between the level of consumer information need about financial information and rotated variables. 3. to analyze the relationship between the level of consumer information satisfaction about financial information over internet and related variables. 4. to analyze the new information financial service and contents. 5. to analyze the informatic information and financial service accounts.

  • The ATVM(Automatic Ticket Vending Machine) of Seoul Metropolitan is a Kiosk which is called Ticket Vending and Reload Device at the subway station. It is implemented for integrating transportation card system which is separated from a paper subway ticket and replacing ticket selling employees. However, since the automatic ticket vending machine was accepted in 2009, there has been confusion of purchasing a ticket. Therefore, it requires improvement of usability. This study, conducts a literature search. Also, the interface of ATVM is analyzed. Finally user observation proceeded at Sinnonhyeon Station of Seoul Metro line 9. The results show that selecting a destination and section fares is confusing process for user. Based on this survey the improvements of UI are proposed to expect advanced directions of the ATVM.

  • Collaborative recommendation is one of the most widely used methods of automated product recommendation in e-Commerce. For analyzing the customer's preference, traditional explicit ratings are less desirable than implicit ratings because it may impose an additional burden to the customers of e-commerce companies which deals with a number of products. Cardinal scales generally used for representing the preference intensity also ineffective owing to its increasing estimation errors. In this paper, we propose a new way of constructing the ordinal scale-based customer profile for collaborative recommendation. A Web usage mining technique and lexicographic consensus are employed. An experiment shows that the proposed method performs better than existing CF methodologies.

  • As the amount of data increases exponentially, the recommender system is attracting interest in various industries such as movies, books, and music, and is being studied. The recommendation system aims to propose an appropriate item to the user based on the user's past preference and click stream. Typical examples include Netflix's movie recommendation system and Amazon's book recommendation system. Previous studies can be categorized into three types: collaborative filtering, content-based recommendation, and hybrid recommendation. However, existing recommendation systems have disadvantages such as sparsity, cold start, and scalability problems. To improve these shortcomings and to develop a more accurate recommendation system, we have designed a recommendation system as a factorization machine using actual online product purchase data.

  • In recent years, the retail industry has been undergoing major shifts. Outlet malls are an important part of the new retail landscape. This paper seeks to increase the understanding of the shopping experiences of visitors to a Premium outlet shopping mall in Shinsagae Chelsea Premium Outlet at Paju City, Gyeongi-do. This paper analyze the Element of the premium outlet across demographics. It explores seven critical factors which significantly influence customers' perceptions of premium outlet. Findings are base on a mall intercept survey with 292 respondents across a range of demographics. The summary of 7 factor is classified as the visual, location, Shopping support, human traces, mood, transit expedience, and tenant. The main implication of these findings is that factory outlet stores are perceived favourably and that they need to build more positive marketing strategies accordingly.
