Hetero-core Optical Fiber Exposure Sensor Module and Instrumentation Delay (헤테로코어 광파이버 노출형 센서모듈과 계측 지연현상)

  • The objective of this study is to develop a new type of buried sensor module that can directly assess pre-stressed concrete by measuring strain using a hetero-core optical fiber sensor. In this regard, experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of the sensor using an exposure sensor module. Based on the experimental results, when the values of the displacement control velocity were 0.12 mm/min and 1.80 mm/min, the corresponding delays in the measurement were 52.1 s and 2.6 s respectively, which indicated that the maximum delay between the two measurements was a factor of 19. Due to the measurement delay phenomena, the sensor module used in the experiments cannot be employed to check the real-time state of the structure. Thus, additional experiments were needed to develop a new sensor module that can measure the real-time state of the structure. To investigate the cause of the measurement delay phenomena, three experiments were conducted. It was confirmed that measurement delay is mainly attributed to frictional resistance. The measurement delay phenomena were not observed in the experiments using the friction-removed device.

Assessment of Temperature Reduction and Heat Budget of Extensive Modular Green Roof System (경량모듈형 옥상녹화시스템의 온도저감 및 열수지 평가)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate temperature reduction and heat budget of extensive modular green roof planted with Sedum sarmentosum and Zoysia japonica. Plant height and green coverage were measured as plant growth. Temperature, net radiation and evapotranspiration of concrete surface, green roof surface, in-soil and bottom were measured from August 2 to August 3, 2012 (48 hours). On 3 P.M., August 3, 2012, when air temperature was the highest ($34.6^{\circ}C$), concrete surface temperature was highest ($57.5^{\circ}C$), followed by surface temperature of Sedum sarmentosum ($40.1^{\circ}C$) and Zoysia japonica ($38.3^{\circ}C$), which proved temperature reduction effect of green roof. Temperature reduction effect of green roof was also shown inside green roof soil, and bottom of green roof. It was found that Zoysia japonica was more effective in temperature reduction than Sedum sarmentosum. Compared with the case of concrete surface, the highest temperature of green roof surface was observed approximately 2 hours delayed. Plant species, temperature and soil moisture were found to have impact on surface temperature reduction. Plant species, air temperature, soil moisture and green roof surface temperature were found to have impact on temperature reduction in green roof bottom. As results of heat budget analysis, sensible heat was highest on concrete surface and was found to be reduced by green roof. Latent heat flux of Zoysia japonica was higher than that of Sedum sarmentosum, which implied that Zoysia japonica was more effective to improve thermal environment for green roof than Sedum sarmentosum.

고온용융물과 콘크리트간의 반응(MCCI): MK1실험결과

  • 원자력 발전소에서의 중대사고시, 고온의 노심 용융물이 원자로 공동으로 떨어지면 노심용융물과 콘크리트간의 반응(MCCI)에 의한 여러가지 현상으로 인해 격납용기의 건전성을 위협할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 노심 용융물의 모사체로 고온의 Thermite 20kg을 영광 원자력 발전소 3, 4호기에 사용된 콘크리트 시편에 부어 중대사고시 MCCI 현상을 모사하였다. 실험에서는 국내 콘크리트에서의 침식율, 가스 및 입자 발생률을 측정하였다. 실험에서 측정된 용융물의 최고 온도는 약 2230 $^{\circ}C$이고, 콘크리트 시편으로의 최대 하부 열유속은 초기에 약 1.1~1.3 MW/$m^2$로 나타났으며, 전체적인 콘크리트의 침식 깊이는 약 15mm 그리고 초기의 최대 침식율은 129 cm/hr로 나타났다. 향후에 이 실험 결과를 MELCOR 코드의 MCCI 해석 모듈인 CORCON-MOD3의 해석 결과와 비교할 예정이다.

A Parametric Study on Tensile Stress of a Hybrid Floating Structure System (매개변수 연구를 통한 하이브리드형 부유식 구조물의 인장응력 발생 분석)

  • A hybrid floating structure system combined with pontoon and semi-submersible type modules is proposed. This new system can reduce tensile forces of bottom slabs which could cause fatal damage of concrete floating structures. We performed a parametric study on the dimensions of this new system and investigate the sensitivity of the parameters to the behavior. In order to investigate various cases efficiently, we developed a simple two-step static analysis method for the fluid-structure interaction. An optimum system is derived from the investigation of the analysis results, weights and drafts of the hybrid structure. This study shows that introducing this new system to concrete floating structures is an effective way to reduce the tensile force of the bottm slab of such a floating structure. Also, it was found that when the length of the semi-submersible module is about 15%, the behavior would be optimal in the considered case.

The Development of Steel-plate Concrete Panels with Preplaced Lightweight Aggregates Concrete (프리플레이스트 경량골재 콘크리트를 사용한 합성형 구조모듈 제작 및 성능 평가)

  • The steel-plate concrete(SC) is used in a form of module assembly construction in the outer wall of nuclear-power plant and LNG containment. Since the steel-plate concrete modules are generally manufactured from the plant, the weight of SC has significantly effect on the total construction cost in the aspect of shipment. Therefore, the use of lightweight aggregates concrete(LWAC), which fill the inside of SC module can be a solution. However, the amount of used lightweight aggregates(LWA) is limited in the use of current concrete mixing process due to the concrete quality problems and it also determines the allowable minimum density of LWAC. In this research, the preplaced casting method is applied because of increasing the volume fraction of LWA significantly, which results from the producing process of pre-packing the LWA in the formwork and filling the interstitial voids between LWA using cement paste grout. The density and compressive strength of selected preplaced LWAC were $1,600kg/m^3$ and 30MPa and it was applied for the mock-up specimens of SC panel. It was used for the 3-point bending test for evaluating its structural performance. The results show that the preplaced LWAC can reduce the density of concrete with the adequate mechanical and structural performance.

  • 원자력 발전소에서의 중대사고시, 고온의 노심 용융물이 원자로 공동으로 떨어지면 노심용융물과 콘크리트간의 반응(MCCI)에 의한 여러가지 현상으로 인해 격납용기의 건전성을 위협할 수 있다 본 연구에서는 국내 원전에서의 MCCI 현상에 대한 실험과 해석결과를 살펴보았다. 실험은 영광원전 3,4호기 원자로 공동구조물의 콘크리트를 대상으로 thermite 20kg을 사용한 것이며 해석은 MELCOR 코드내의 MCCI 상세해석 모듈인 CORCON-MOD3를 이용하였다. 해석에 사용된 콘크리트의 화학성분과 열물성은 실험을 통하여 측정한 값을 사용하였으며 해석결과는 실험 결과와 비교하였다. 또한 GORCON 코드에서의 MCCI 현상의 해석시 용융물의 초기온도, 용융물의 질량, 콘크리트의 종류에 따른 예측결과들을 비교하였다. MCCI 현상의 해석시 콘크리트의 종류에 따른 가스발생량과 구성성분의 변화가 크게 나타남으로 콘크리트의 화학적 구성성분을 적합하게 입력하여야 한다. 콘크리트로의 종류에 따른 하부로의 열유속은 크게 차이가 없으나 침식율은 크게 차이가 나며 이는 콘크리트의 상변화 잠열의 차이에서 기인한 것이다. CORCON 코드는 실험에 비해 작은 침식율을 예측하고 있으며 콘크리트의 침식율은 용융물의 양에 비해 초기온도의 변화에 더 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 예측하고 있다.

  • The domestic research of the steel plate concrete structures have been focused on the nuclear structures requiring much strong resistance. There are many advantages in the steel plate-concrete structures such as the possibility of prefabricated production and modular construction. This research tried to establish some basic design information of SC structures toward mid to low-rise general buildings with low strength. To reduce the strength mentioned, the some of the cement in weight was replaced by the soils which are traditional and environmental oriented material where the new system can be used to general buildings. This paper studied on the compressive characteristics, effective length factors, buckling loading, steel plate buckling, and stud strength using the compression member subjected to the concentrated compression loadings.

  • 본 논문은 통신 모듈과 전력선 없이, 교량용 센서에 전력을 송전하는 동시에 2차측 부하 변동에 의한 1차측 공진 캐패시터의 전압 변동을 이용해 데이터를 전송하는 무선전력 시스템을 제안한다. 콘크리트 구조물을 투과하여 10W(3.3V, 3A)의 전력 및 데이터를 전송하는 시스템을 구현하여 제안된 시스템의 타당성을 검증 하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 철근콘크리트 구조물의 프레임부재 철근을 대상으로 배근 설계 및 철근 형상화 알고리즘을 구축하여 자동배근을 생성하는데 목적이 있다. 철근 콘크리트의 BIM 통합 설계 시스템은 철근 배근정보의 생성과 호환이 원활하지 않아 표준 정보 호환 체계가 구축되지 않은 실정이다. 기존 2차원 기반 프로세스에서는 철근 배근 설계에 있어 표준화된 기준에 따른 배근이 아닌 관행이나 일률적인 배근 지침에 따라 배근 상세를 정하고 있고, 2차원 배근 설계 결과만 제시하고 있어 상호 호환 가능한 철근 배근 정보데이터가 생성되지 않는다. 철근 콘크리트 구조에서의 철근 배근 정보를 생성하고 BIM 통합 구조 설계시스템에서의 정보 호환성을 확보하기 위해, 프레임부재 철근을 대상으로 구조 해석 데이터베이스와 통합 설계 플랫폼 간의 호환 시스템을 생성하고, 콘크리트학회 콘크리트 구조설계기준에 따른 배근 설계 및 철근 형상화 알고리즘을 구축하여 자동배근시스템(Integrated Reinforcement for Frame Members, 이하 IRFM)을 개발하는데 목적이 있다.

  • Ubiquitous is an information communication environment which peoples could connect on network without being conscious of the network and computer condition at anytime and anywhere. Presently, advanced technology, digital cities and eco-friendly cities using Ubiquitous technology are being focused through out the world. As recent information industry and communication technology have developed remarkably, studies on intelligent structures and structural maintenance methods by combining a general idea of connecting all objects on network by interpolating computers which is called Ubiquitous Computing, and USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) are being attempted. In this paper, a basic experiment on penetration of RF(Radio Frequency) sensor nodes using an experimental sample setting concrete and reinforcing bar as variables is studied to estimate the possibility of applying wireless sensor networks in structures. The spring of reinforcing bars, concrete thickness, intensity of radio frequency were set up as variables, transmitting and receiving distance were checked vertically and horizontally. Moreover, Spectrum Analyzer was used for checking the magnitude of the frequency used in order to measure the reduction of radio wave exactly. The radio wave reduction was numerically analyzed, and the influence of the wavelength was analysed as well. As a result, the penetration depth in concrete without reinforcing bars was 45cm, and in reinforced concretes which reinforcing bars placed at spacing of 5cm and 15cm, the penetration depth were 37cm and 45cm each. No influence on radio wave penetration depth were found when the spacing of reinforcing bars in the reinforced concrete structures becomes over 15cm.
