  • It is the advantage of robot programming to improve the learners' interest. However, the drawback is existed in the fact that it is not easy to determine whether the problem lies in the hardware factor or programmed logic when an error takes place. This study is an attempt to develop a simulation tool which assists learners to concentrate on the problems not relating to robot assembling but to robot program. It aims to enable beginners make a sketch of their ideas and examine their logic through simulation. Therefore, an Etoys-based robot programming tool is developed to allows user to download and execute the simulated program into an assembled robot. The significance of this study is that easy activity of sketch-based simulation can support learners to understand how the principles of computer science are applied in daily life such as an automatic door system.

  • The telemedicine using independent client-server system via networks can provide high quality normalized services to many hospitals, specifically to local/rural area hospitals. This will eventually lead to a decreased medical cost because the centralized institute can handle big computer hardware systems and complicated software systems efficiently and economically, Customized cancer radiation treatment planning for each patient Is very useful for both a patient and a doctor because it makes possible for the most effective treatment with the least possible dose to patient. Radiation planners know that too small a dose to the tumor can result in recurrence of the cancer, while too large a dose to healthy tissue can cause complications or even death. The best solution is to build an accurate planning simulation system to provide better treatment strategies based on each patient's computerized tomography (CT) image. We are developing a web-based and a network-based customized cancer radiation therapy simulation system consisting of four Important computer codes; a CT managing code for preparing the patients target data from their CT image files, a parallel Monte Carlo high-energy beam code (PMCEPT code) for calculating doses against the target generated from the patient CT image, a parallel linear programming code for optimizing the treatment plan, and scientific data visualization code for efficient pre/post evaluation of the results. The whole softwares will run on a high performance Beowulf PC cluster of about 100-200 CPUs. Efficient management of the hardware and software systems is not an easy task for a hospital. Therefore, we integrated our system into the client-sewer system via network or web and provide high quality normalized services to many hospitals. Seamless communication with doctors is maintained via messenger function of the server-client system.

The Modeling of ISL(Intergrated Schottky Logic) Characteristics by Computer Simulations (컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 의한 ISL 특성의 모델링)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the characteristics of schottky junction to develop the voltage swing of ISL, and simulated the characteristics with the programs at this junctions. Simulation programs for analytic characteristics are the SUPREM V, SPICE, Medichi, Matlab. The schottky junction is rectifier contact between platinum silicide and silicon, the characteristics with programs has simulated the same conditions. The analytic parameters were the turn-on voltage, saturation current, ideality factor in forward bias, and has shown the results of breakdown voltage between actual characteristics and simulation characteristics in reverse bias. As a result, th forward turn-on voltage, reverse breakdown voltage, barrier height were decreased but saturation current and ideality factor were increased by substrates increased concentration variations.

  • Simulation Framework is a basic software tool used to develop simulation applications. This paper describes the development of a discrete event simulation framework based on DEVS(Discrete EVent System Specification) formalism, using MATLAB language which is widely used in technical computing and engineering disciplines. The newly developed framework utilizing MATLAB object oriented programming combines the convenience of MATLAB language and the sophisticated architecture of the DEVS formalism. Hence, it supports the productivity, flexibility, extensibility that are required for the simulation application software development of the weapon systems engagement. Moreover, it promises a simulation application the increased the computation speed proportional to the number of CPU of a multi-core processor, providing the batch simulation functionality based on MATLAB parallel computing technology.

  • 야간 경관조명을 계획 및 평가하는데 필요한 물리량의 측정기법이나 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션의 유효성에 대한 검증이 미흡한 상황이다. 이에 본 연구 경관조명에 많이 사용되는 대표적 프로그램인 Lightscape 3.2의 유효성을 Radiant Imaging ProMetric 1400을 이용하여 검증한 것이다. 교량의 7개 부분에 대한 평균 휘도값을 비교한 결과 Radiant Imaging ProMetric 1400에 의한 물리량 측정값과 Lightscape 3.2의 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 값 사이에는 상대오차율이 평균 8.3%로 나타나, Lightscape 3.2가 경관조명의 사전 시뮬레이션 도구로써 매우 유효한 것으로 나타났다.

  • In this paper, we refer to positive effect and negative effect of game. And we inquire the recent trend of edutainment that emphasizes charm of game and educational effect at the same time. Because the simulation game and the role-playing game have strong toxication, the limitation of computer use is essential. Therefore, we present dynamic computer using-time control system for prevention of game toxicaton and for activity of educational contents. The method considered in this paper increases computer using-time n proportion to using of educational contents. So it lead user of computer to use educational contents voluntarily.

  • In the field of computer science, operating system concept is taught in university, but we now teach it in the middle and/or high school. Computer is also taught not only in college but also in middle and high school. If we look up the education of computer that is trained in school, basic principles or core techniques of computer science is educated only with its theory. If the theoretical education of computer science is just trained, sometimes students are not interested in it because of lack of shortage of mass media. Therefore, we could say that it is important that the computer education features a diverse range of media, including prints, paintings, sculpture, digital photographs, mixed media, and a simulation program. For all this reason, we design and implement a program for simulation with computer operating systems especially, CPU scheduling. There are many CPU scheduling algorithms we suggest to make students understand scheduling with some different examples in practical use. In this paper, we practically propose a new approach to be used with a study tool to make a motivation for students. We design a simulation program for teaching computer operation systems to show CPU scheduling and we implement a program to make use of comparison of FCFS, SJFS, PS, and RR scheduling algorithms. With our simulation program we present a comparative analysis between scheduling algorithms could be possible.

  • In this paper, we propose a model that can convert some of the simulation program resources to a mobile environment. Recently, smart factories that use PLCs as controllers in the manufacturing industry are rapidly becoming widespread. However, in the situation where it is difficult to operate due to the shortage of PLC operation personnel, the actual situation is that a platform for PLC operation education is necessary. Currently most PLC-related educational platforms are based on 2D, which makes accurate learning difficult and difficult. When a simulation program is applied to distance learning in a general PC environment, many elements are displayed on the monitor, which makes screen switching inconvenient. Experiments with the proposed model confirmed that there was no frame deterioration under general circumstances. The average response time by the request frame was 102 ms, and it was judged that the learner was not at the level of experiencing the system delay.

  • 4차산업 기술이 상수도 관망 분야에도 활발히 도입되며 스마트워터 구축에 기술적인 기반이 마련되고 있다. 이중 디지털트윈의 경우 컴퓨터에 현실 속 사물의 쌍둥이를 만들고, 현실에서 발생할 수 있는 상황을 컴퓨터로 시뮬레이션함으로써 결과를 미리 예측하는 기술로 정의된다. 즉, 디지털트윈의 핵심기술은 시각화와 시뮬레이션 모형의 연계로 실시간 상황 표출뿐만 아니라 시뮬레이션 모형 입력값의 미래 변화를 추정하여 해당 사물의 상태를 예측하는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 상수도 관망의 경우도 디지털트윈 모형 구축 시 정교한 시뮬레이션 모형과 연계를 통해 관측 데이터의 표출과 함께 미관측 지점의 데이터를 추정 및 표출하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 디지털트윈 모형 구축에 가장 필수적이라고 할 수 있는 상수도 관망의 해석 프로그램 매개변수 검보정 모형을 소개한다. 대표적인 상수도 관망해석 프로그램인 EPANET2.2의경우 입력값으로 주로 수요량과 관로의 조도계수를 요구하며, 본 연구에서는 수요량은 알고 있는 것으로 가정하고 관로의 조도계수만 Markov-Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC)를 사용하여 검보정한다. 해당 모형은 (1) 실시간 조도계수 추정이 가능하면, (2) 동시에 누수 탐지가 가능하고, (3) 관로의 기능적 노후를 정의하여 향후 디지털트윈 모형 구현 시 관로 노후를 표출할 수 있는 기반을 구축한다. 우선 실시간 조도계수 추정은 데이터베이스와 연동하여 진행하며, MCMC 모형을 활용한 관로 별 조도계수의 분포에 따라 정상범위 내 변동이 발생하는지 여부를 판단한다. 이때 정상범위를 벗어난 변동이 발생하는 경우 잠재적 누수가 존재하는 것으로 가정하며, 콜모고로프-스미르노프(KS) 테스트를 통해 이를 판단한다. 기능적 노후는 관로의 통수능과 연관이 있으며, 추정한 조도계수에 따른 관로의 통수능을 산정하여 결과를 표출한다. 본 연구에서 제안한 모형은 향후 상수도 관망 디지털트윈 구현에 핵심 요소기술로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
