이동단말기가 보급이 확산됨에 따라 많은 사용자들이 이동단말기를 사용하고 필연적으로 많은 통신행동을 하고 있다. 특히 SMS 는 시간과 장소의 제한이 적어 사용자들의 통신행동 중 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다. SMS 통신행동에서 이모티콘의 사용이 많이 나타나고 있으며 이는 텍스트 기반의 의사소통의 한계를 극복하기 위한 방안으로 볼 수 있다. SMS 로부터 사용자의 감정을 추론하려는 기존의 연구가 있었지만 SMS 텍스트에 국한된다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 최근 휴대폰, PDA, 스마트폰 등 이동단말기의 발전에 따라 통신행동 기록, 위치 정보와 같은 컨텍스트 정보를 수집하고 이용할 수 있음에 착안하여 SMS 텍스트와 함께 이동단말기의 컨텍스트 정보를 추론에 사용하였다. 의사결정트리를 이용하여 가용한 컨텍스트 정보로부터 추론한 정황 정보를 SMS 통신에서 사용하여 기존의 텍스트 기반의 의사소통의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 Visual SMS 를 제안한다. 사전에 정의한 훈련 데이터 집합을 통하여 의사결정트리를 생성하고 이를 기반으로 Visual SMS 를 구현, 시뮬레이션하여 추론 결과를 통해 그 기대효과를 확인한다.

An example of such a new device is a mobile phone. The demand for wireless data communication is growing rapidly. However, agencies have not yet completed the standardization of the markup language. Due to the evolution of the Mobile Device, the agencies in this field have provided different data formats with each Mobile Device Platform. Traditionally, contents are hand-tailored to suit the target devices. A key problem is that the characteristics and capabilities of mobile devices are too diverse to service the most suitable mobile contents. Owing to this problem, the need for a reusable document description language increases. In this paper, we defined Template file that is common data to service mobile devices. We proposed method that could be effective wireless web service though design and the implementation of the Call Manager & the XSL Generator. In the methodology, when requesting wireless internet service, the mobile device finds out Markup language and hardware specification of the mobile device through the Call Manager component supports. The XSL Generator component creates XSL file dynamically that is the most suitable to device. Finally, contents is serviced to each device by XSLT.

The hierarchical conference causes the data delay because the exchanged data between terminals in the conference go through the hierarchical structure. In this paper, we propose an algorithm which minimizes the average path distance between terminals in a non-incremental hierarchical conference, and which considers the computing resource. For terminals which want to join the ongoing hierarchical conference, our algorithm selects terminals that the new connection is possible among terminals in the conference with the computing resource consideration. Then, after all distance values between the selected terminals and terminals which want to join the ongoing hierarchical conference are computed, and the terminal-pair which have minimum distance value is selected, the ongoing hierarchical conference is extended with a connection of the terminal-pair which consists of a terminal among selected terminals and other terminal among terminals which want to join the ongoing hierarchical conference. This continues until all terminals are included in the conference. As the experimental results with the proposed non-incremental scheme, the hierarchical conference can be organized with 24% better performance than the earlier incremental scheme on the basis of average path distance between terminals.

생산시점 (Point Of Production)에서 생산정보의 발생원 즉, 기계, 설비, 작업자, 작업대상물 (Work) 등으로부터 생산 정보를 Paperless, 실시간(Real Time)으로 수집하는 장치를 POP 단말기라 하며, POP 단말기와 PC(관리용, 제어용)를 RS232, RS422, RS485 등의 네트워크로 구성하여 전생산라인의 정보를 실시간으로 얻을 수 있다. PC는 PC 상호간 또는 공장의 주컴퓨터(Host Computer)와 LAN(Local Area Network)으로 연결하여 공장 전체를 관리한다. 생산정보 및 라인 가동상태를 주컴퓨터에 연결된 단말기를 통하여 수시로 파악함으로써 생산계획의 수립은 물론 공장의 모든 인적, 물적자원의 효율적인 운용을 가능케 해주는 것이 바로 POP의 개념이다. 본고에서는 이러한 POP 개념의 실현을 위해 기계부품 생산라인을 대상으로 한 POP 단말기 시스팀 개발에 관하여 서술하고자 한다.

Wi-Fi 는 스마트 네트워크 환경 구현을 위한 기반 분야로 다양한 분야 및 서비스에 활용되고 있다. Wi-Fi 는 AP (Access Point)를 통해 보다 넓은 범위의 네트워크를 가능하게 하며, 여러 무선 단말기와 통신을 한다. 또한 Wi-Fi 는 DCF(Distributed Coordinate Function) 프로토콜을 이용하여 AP 를 포함한 모든 무선 단말기에게 공평하게 채널을 할당한다. 그러나 AP 는 채널을 요청하는 하위 단말기에 대해 도착한 순서에 따라 채널을 할당하는 FIFS(First In First Service) 스케줄링을 사용하여 데이터를 처리함으로써 데이터 전송 신뢰도를 저하시키고, 전송 지연이 발생하여 응급 데이터 전송에 적합하지 않다. 이에 본 논문에서는 응급 데이터 전송을 위한 우선순위 기반 AP 채널 할당 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 전송하려는 데이터에 우선순위를 부여하여 응급 데이터의 채널 요청 처리율을 높이고 채널 할당 지연시간을 감소시켜 응급 데이터 전송 신뢰도를 향상시킨다.

이 연구에서는 국내 재난문자와 미국 WEA의 법령과 표준의 관계를 비교하였다. 국내 재난문자 재난 및 안전관리 기본법을 상위법으로 두는 법령이 있으나 기술적 내용은 대부분 민간 표준단체(TTA)의 표준으로만 제정되어 있다. 따라서 이동통신사와 단말기 제조사는 의무적으로 준수해야 하는 법적 근거가 없다. 한편, 미국은 WEA 연방 규칙에서 기술적 내용을 포함하고 있어서 이동통신사와 단말기 제조사는 의무적으로 해당 내용을 준수해야 한다. 이에, 국내는 이동통신사와 단말기 기종별로 재난문자 서비스의 차이가 발생하고 있지만 미국에서는 이러한 차이를 발견하기 어렵다.

In this paper, we developed UHF RFID R/W system using AT91SAM7S256(ARM chip), UHF RFID R/W module (WJ7090) and wireless LAN(IEEE 802.11.a/b). And we developed a transmission/receiving packet which is send to UHF R/W module in AT91SAM7S256. In order to show the usefulness of UHF RFID R/W system, we executed a performance test. The developed UHF RFID R/W system shows better performance for reading of RFID tag and data transmission through wireless LAN.

IEEE 802.11 WLAN(Wireless LAN)은 효율성과 편리함으로 시장에 급격히 보급되었다. 이 IEEE 802.11 WLAN은 CSMA/CA를 기반으로 하는 DCF방식을 주로 사용하고 있으며, Contention Window, Backoff Size를 이용한 각 단말기들간의 자유 경쟁에 의한 전송 방식을 택하고 있다. 그 주된 방법으로 단말기는 CW를 설정하고 CW범위안에서 랜덤한 값을 정해 Backoff Counter를 줄여 채널을 점유하는 방식이다. DCF방식은 채널을 두고 여러 대의 단말기가 서로 경쟁을 함으로써 채널을 할당 받아 사용하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 채널 할당시 CW값을 조절하여 다른 단말기보다 채널을 빨리 할당받고 높은 처리량을 나타내는 탐욕적(Greedy) 노드문제에 대해서 분석하는 방법에 대해서 설명하려고 한다.

본 논문에서는 스마트폰 기반의 차량 원격제어 시스템을 제안한다. 스마트폰에는 G센서가 탑재되어 모션을 제어하는데 사용되고 있으며, G센서는 X, Y, Z축으로 되어 있어 여러 방향과 속도의 동작들을 제어할 수 있으며, G센서는 Wi-Fi통신과 블루투스 모듈의 RS232통신 방식을 이용하여 여러 분야의 모바일 단말기에 응용 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 모바일 단말기에서 G센서 장착된 휴대용 단말기 iPhone을 사용하여 영상으로 차량원격제어시스템을 구현 및 개발하여 운전자들이 휴대용 단말기에서 실시간 영상으로 좀 더 편하게 차량을 원격제어, 관리할 수 있는 어플리케이션을 제안한다.

최근 모바일 임베디드 단말기에서는 iOS나 안드로이드와 같이 다양한 S/W 플랫폼들이 경쟁을 하고 있다. 이에 반해 전통적인 리눅스 기반 임베디드 단말기의 경우 busybox에서 제공하는 기본 명령어 외에는 필요한 Application 및 라이브러리를 모두 빌드하여 사용하였다. 하지만 PC에서는 범용적인 리눅스 배포판을 사용하여 필요한 Application이나 라이브러리를 패키지 메니져를 통해 쉽게 설치가 가능하다. 이에 따라 임베디드 단말기에서도 범용 리눅스 배포판을 설치하여 PC 에서와 같은 장점을 취하려는 방법들이 개발되는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 현재 개발된 방법들을 비교 분석 해보고, 앞으로 개선해야 할 사항들을 도출하고자 한다.
