In this paper, we present a music retrieval system that compares the geometric structure of a melody specified by a user with those in a music database. The system finds matches between a query melody and melodies in the database by analyzing both structural and contextual features. The retrieval method is based on the geometric hashing algorithm which consists of two steps; the preprocessing step and the recognition step. During the preprocessing step, we divide a melody into several fragments and analyze the pitch and duration of each note of the fragments to find a structural feature. To find a contextual feature, we find a main chord for each fragment. During the recognition step, we divide the query melody specified by a user into several fragments and search through all fragments in the database that are structurally and contextually similar to the melody. A vote is cast for each of the fragments and the music whose total votes are the maximum is the music that contains a matching melody against the query melody. Using our approach, we can find similar melodies in a music database quickly. We can also apply the method to detect plagiarism in music.

Recently, digital music retrieval is using in many fields (Web portal. audio service site etc). In existing fields, Meta data of music are used for digital music retrieval. If Meta data are not right or do not exist, it is hard to get high accurate retrieval result. Contents based information retrieval that use music itself are researched for solving upper problem. In this paper, we propose Same music recognition method using similarity measurement. Feature data of digital music are extracted from waveform of music using Simplified MFCC (Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient). Similarity between digital music files are measured using DTW (Dynamic time Warping) that are used in Vision and Speech recognition fields. We success all of 500 times experiment in randomly collected 1000 songs from same genre for preying of proposed same music recognition method. 500 digital music were made by mixing different compressing codec and bit-rate from 60 digital audios. We ploved that similarity measurement using DTW can recognize same music.

The purpose of this paper is researching musical elements to analyze plagiarism between two sources. We first search digital music elements to analyze music source and examine how to use these in plagiarism analysis using compiler techniques. In addition we are used open source Java API JFugue to process complex MIDI music data simply. Therefore we designed music plagiarism analysis system by using MusicString which is supported in JFugue and construct AST after investigate MusicString's syntax processing elements to manipulate music plagiarism analysis efficiently. So far music plagiarism analysis is evaluated emotionally and subjectively. But this paper suggests first step to build plagiarism analysis systemically. If this research is well utilized, this is very meaningful to standardize systemically which music is plagiarized or not.

Games in 1970s have used the savings of analog wavelength as in music and the like on hardwares of small cassette, gramophone, and the like. Due to these configuration elements, durability has to be declined so much. In the event of using the music on the video game, more affordable method is to use the computer chip to convert the analog sound into the computer code to convert into the electric wavelength to send to the speaker. The sound effect of the game is generated in this method. The technical limit has been gradually overcome to grant more freedom to the composers and the sound track pre-recorded on the optic disc and the like has emerged. The game developers of today have made several attempts on the technology to produce the game music. This study has contemplated the process of advancement in the change of game music production with the influence on technology and business.
Differently from instruments which synthesized sounds and tones in the past, voice synthesis engine for music production has reached to the level of creating music as if actual artists were singing. It uses the samples of human voices naturally connected to the different levels of phoneme within the frequency range. Voice synthesis engine is not simply limited to the music production but it is changing cultural paradigm through the second creations of new music type including character music concerts, media productions, albums, and mobile services. Currently, voice synthesis engine technology makes it possible that users input pitch, lyrics, and musical expression parameters through the score editor and they mix and connect voice samples brought from the database to sing. New music types derived from such a development of computer music has sparked a big impact culturally. Accordingly, this paper attempts to examine the specific case studies and the synthesis technologies for users to understand the voice synthesis engine more easily, and it will contribute to their variety of music production.
