A Comparison of the effects of Static Graphic and Animation in CAI by visual learning preference (시각적 학습 선호도에 따른 정화상 CAI와 애니메이션 CAI의 효과 비교)

  • This study investigated the effect of visual learning preference levels in computer assisted instruction (CAI) using static graphics and animations on students' conceptual understandings, application abilities and learning motivations. Fifty-nine seventh graders were selected from a middle school in seoul, and they were taught about the motion of molecule for 4 class hours. Two-way ANCOVA results revealed that the scores of the conception test of the animations group, regardless of student's visual learning preference levels, were significantly higher than those of the static graphics group. However, there were no differences between the two groups in the scores of application test and learning motivation test.

  • A pellet program including a nested parallelism has a result of non-deterministic because of executed concurrently without synchronization. In order to detect like this error the visualization technique which is various is used. But the intuition characteristic is decreased because of limits of space and excessive abstraction. In this paper, proposes 3-D visualization engines which provide global structure of the arranging in a parallel program with nested parallelism which is complicated to the user. The visualization engine which is proposed provides global structure to the user as program easily to understand, it provides an effective debugging environment.

Visualization Techniques for Massive Source Code (대용량 소스코드 시각화기법 연구)

  • Program source code is a set of complex syntactic information which are expressed in text forms, and contains complex logical structures. Structural and logical complexity inside source code become barriers in applying visualization techniques shown in traditional big-data approaches when the volume of source code become over ten-thousand lines of code. This paper suggests a procedure for making visualization of structural characteristics in source code. For this purpose, this paper defines internal data structures as well as inter-procedural relationships among functions. The paper also suggests a means of outlining the structural characteristics of source code by visualizing the source codes with network forms The result of the research work can be used as a means of controling and understanding the massive volume of source code.

  • Visual features of a mushromm(Lentinus Edodes L.) are critical in sorting and grading as most agricultural products are. Because of its complex and various visual features, grading and sorting of mushrooms have been done manually by the human expert. Though actions involved in human grading look simple, it decision making underneath the simple action comes from the result of the complex neural processing of visual image. Recently, an artificial neural network has drawn a great attention because of its functional capability as a partial substitute of the human brain. Since most agricultural products are not uniquely defined in its physical properties and do not have a well defined job structure, the neuro -net based computer visual information processing is the promising approach toward the automation in the agricultural field. In this paper, first, the neuro - net based classification of simple geometric primitives were done and the generalization property of the network was tested for degraded primitives. And then the neuro-net based grading system was developed for a mushroom. A computer vision system was utilized for extracting and quantifying the qualitative visual features of sampled mushrooms. The extracted visual features of sampled mushrooms and their corresponding grades were used as input/output pairs for training the neural network. The grading performance of the trained network for the mushrooms graded previously by the expert were also presented.

Interface of Tele-Task Operation for Automated Cultivation of Watermelon in Greenhouse

  • Computer vision technology has been utilized as one of the most powerful tools to automate various agricultural operations. Though it has demonstrated successful results in various applications, the current status of technology is still for behind the human's capability typically for the unstructured and variable task environment. In this paper, a man-machine interactive hybrid decision-making system which utilized a concept of tole-operation was proposed to overcome limitations of computer image processing and cognitive capability. Tasks of greenhouse watermelon cultivation such as pruning, watering, pesticide application, and harvest require identification of target object. Identifying water-melons including position data from the field image is very difficult because of the ambiguity among stems, leaves, shades. and fruits, especially when watermelon is covered partly by leaves or stems. Watermelon identification from the cultivation field image transmitted by wireless was selected to realize the proposed concept. The system was designed such that operator(farmer), computer, and machinery share their roles utilizing their maximum merits to accomplish given tasks successfully. And the developed system was composed of the image monitoring and task control module, wireless remote image acquisition and data transmission module, and man-machine interface module. Once task was selected from the task control and monitoring module, the analog signal of the color image of the field was captured and transmitted to the host computer using R.F. module by wireless. Operator communicated with computer through touch screen interface. And then a sequence of algorithms to identify the location and size of the watermelon was performed based on the local image processing. And the system showed practical and feasible way of automation for the volatile bio-production process.

  • 본 논문에서는 대학별 홍보 전략, 발전에 기여하기 위한 서비스를 제안한다. 이 서비스는 데이터 수집에는 크롤링을 사용하고 사이킷 런을 사용하여 정확도를 최대화하고, 각 분류된 카테고리의 오류을 최소화한다. 이 서비스는 각 카테고리별로 특성이 높은 키워드를 사용하여 카테고리 별 학습 데이터셋을 생성한 후 이러한 학습 데이터셋을 바탕으로 각 기사들을 최적의 카테고리로 분류해주는 분류기를 구현한다. 이러한 분류기를 사용하여 분류된 기사들을 분석하여 막대 그래프 등의 시각화된 자료들로 볼 수 있도록 하여 기존의 대학 홍보 자료에 비해 누구든 쉽고 간단하게 접근이 가능하도록 한다.

A Study on Stereo Image (Stereopsis) (스테레오 이미지에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze traditional stereo images (stereopsis), and study electronic methods to create stereo images using computer graphics technology on visualization of computer. Computer system can process image data and show results on its display. In the early days of computer era, most scientific research data was printed on paper as a procession of digits. These days, the visualization of computer graphics has a precise and realistic quality in its imaging technology. Some technological advances have been developed to not only display 2-dimensional geometry but also 3-dimensional stereo images to simulate virtual reality. In this study, [ have discussed the history of stereopsis, principles of stereo images and technological developments. Also I analyzed the components of stereo images, optical and electronic methods and visual systems which are used in computer graphics technology. I developed my own theories on possibilities for new methods of 3-dimensional stereo images.

  • 촉각에 의존하여 대부분의 정보를 습득하는 시각장애인의 특성과 촉각정보를 인지하는 특성을 파악하여 기존의 문자정보를 점자로 변환하여 촉각으로 전달하는 것에서 벗어나 시각정보를 손쉽게 촉각 정보로 변환하고 초소형 초음파 모터를 다중배열로 구성하여 24x18의 해상도, 총 432개의 촉각 전달핀으로 구성된 시각정보 촉각전달 장치를 제어소프트웨어와 함께 제안한다. 시각정보 촉각전달 장치를 통해 기존에 접할 수 없었던 시각정보를 손쉽게 촉각정보로 변환하고 출력하여 시각장애인의 교육기회를 증대시키고 나아가 시각장애인들의 제한된 활동을 획기적으로 개선하여 높은 복지를 보장하기를 기대한다.

  • 컴퓨터의 전 분야가 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스로 변모함에 따라 문자를 중심으로 정보를 습득하던 시각장애인의 경우, 더욱 더 정보단절의 위기에 처하게 되었으며, 정보의 바다라 일컫는 인터넷에서도 마찬가지이다. 외국의 경우 화면읽기 프로그램을 이용하여 텔넷, 전자메일, FTP를 불편없이 사용할 수 있으며, 전용 웹 브라우져의 개발로 WWW까지도 이용할 수 있다. 우리 나라의 경우에는 시각장애인이 인터넷에 접근할 수 있는 환경이 구축되어 있지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 시각장애인을 위한 사용자 인터페이스를 설계하고 그를 통해 윈도우용 웹 브라우져, 텔넷, FTP, 전자메일, 문서작성기 등의 인터넷 솔루션을 개발하였다.

  • 점자 체계와 CMYK 모델을 이용하여 시각 장애인과 일반인이 읽을 수 있는 책을 만들기 위한 방법론을 제시한다. CMYK 의 K 를 이용해 8 개의 점으로 구성된 셀 문자를 텍스트에 삽입하여, 텍스트 스캔 시 빠르고 정확한 문자 인식이 가능하게 한다.
