Mutimedia conference technology provides reference service as well as data service via Internet. Many standards and related applications were developed based on H.323 protocol. but H.323 protocol more complex than SIP. so IETF have developed standard that related conference control based on SIP. In this paper, we discuss REFER method that used for conference invtitation and ejection esign conference event package for conference system based on SIP protocol.

In this paper, We have proposed an efficient SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) messages control which can be used to reduce conference servers load in distributed conference model. Each conference participant can control the amount of event notification messages from the conference server in real time according to its processing capacity and network circumstances. And the amount of SIP messages needed to maintain session with the conference servers can also be controlled actively in our system. The amount of SIP messages which should be processed by the conference servers can be reduced largely by using our suggested method. Therefore the conference system can be more easily expandable and total network traffic can be reduced largely in SIP environment. We have suggested new conference event packages and conference information data model with some added elements that are necessary for efficient SIP messages control. The performance of the proposed system has been evaluated by experiments.

Recently, the conference is increase continuously, and the public relations and administration are increasing. Therefore, the many expense of small academic society and official overhead are generated for supporting the service of conference registration and announcement. Accordingly, in this paper, the building tool designs and implements for the registration and public relations of a small-scale conference on Internet. This tool supports an automatic building of a conference homepage and easily operation of the conference. And, the building tool provides the paper submission function, the pre-registration function and the email sending function using the conference homepage on Internet.

As developing of the internet and computer technology, more interests are gathered to the conference service which provides capability of multi-party real-time visual conference. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a SIP-based visual conference system which includes Presence service. The elements of this conference system are user system, which has conference UA(User Agent) capability, presence seuer and conference server. For the presence service, we have adapted publication method which uses SIP PUBLISH message, and with this service various status informations of users are easily acquired. Also invitations and involvements to the conference are easily made through this service. For the conference server which controls establishment and management of multi-party connections, we have included conference event package. This package provides dynamically changing conference informations and users informations through SIP subscription and notification functions.

SIP-based tightly coupled conference, which has a centrally located conference server for controlling and management, can be classified several models according to location of focus and mixer. These are centralized server model, endpoint server model, media server component model and distributed mixing model. However each model has its strength and weakness. In this paper, we propose and implement a SIP-based effective hybrid-type conference model which decreases amount of SIP signaling messages, lowers load of server media mixer, and can be easily expandable to large scale conference. In this model, when the number of participants exceeds a pre-defined limit, the conference server selects some participants which posses specific functions and let them share functions of notifications of conference state event package and media mixing. When each participant subscribes conference state event package to the server, it can indicates its possession of such functions by a specific header message. The server stores the indication to the conference information database, and later uses it to select participants for load sharing. The performance of our proposed model is evaluated by experiments.

2006년 한국물류혁신컨퍼런스가 서울에서 동북아 물류중심의 전초기지 부산에서 "Hand in Hand for the Global Network"이라는 주제로 개최한다. 부산을 시작으로 매년 지방으로 순회 개최하면서 물류마인드를 전국적으로 확산하여, 지역기업들은 물론 지방정부 공무원들의 물류혁신에 대한 최근 추세와 개선사례를 직접 알아볼 수 있는 좋은 계기가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다. 또, 한국물류혁신컨퍼런스가 "제3차 UN ESCAP 인프라장관회의"와 같은 장소에서 동시에 개최됨으로서, 국제적인 물류컨퍼런스로 도약할 수 있는 절호의 기회가 될 것이다. 올해 성공적인 한국물류혁신 컨퍼런스가 되기 위하여 한국물류혁신 컨퍼런스 조직위원장으로 전일수 인천대학교 동북아물류대학원 원장을 선임했다. 전일수 위원장은 현재 인천대학교 동북아 물류대학원장으로 재직중이며, 물류인재양성에도 많은 노력을 아끼지 않고 있다. 제14회째를 맞이하고 있는 한국물류혁신 컨퍼런스가 성공적으로 개최되기 위한 방안에 대해 전일수 조직위원장으로부터 들어본다.

최근 컴퓨터 및 통신 기술의 발전으로 인터넷 전화 서비스가 증가하고 있다. 지금까지의 인터넷 전화 서비스는 1:1 방식의 서비스가 주류를 이루었으나, 점차 다자간 음성 채팅, 원격 강의 등과 같은 N:N 방식의 음성 컨퍼런스 서비스에 대한 수요가 급증하고 있다. 그러나 기존의 음성 컨퍼런스 시스템은 별도의 컨퍼런스 서버 구축, 부하 집중 사용자 수의 증가에 따른 음성 트래픽 증가 등의 문제로 일정한 통화 품질을 유지하기 어렵다는 단점이 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제를 개선하기 위한 ad hoc 방식의 음성 컨퍼런스 시스템을 제안하였다. 그리고 이 시스템의 성능 분석을 통하여 최소 4명의 참여자까지 일정한 음성 품질이 보장됨을 확인함으로써 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템의 타당성을 검증하였다.

최근 데이터가 기업 경쟁력의 핵심 요소로 부각되면서 데이터 품질이 중요한 이슈로 등장하고 있는 가운데, 지난달 15일 코엑스 컨퍼런스 센터에서‘데이터 품질과 데이터 관리’를 주제로 한‘2004 데이터베이스 그랜드 컨퍼런스’가 개최돼 눈길을 끌었다. 데이터베이스 그랜드 컨퍼런스는 한국데이터베이스진흥센터가 작년부터 매년 정기적으로 개최하고 있는 국내 유일의 데이터 품질관리 분야 전문 행사로, 필자는 본 컨퍼런스에 발표자 겸 청중으로 참가해 국내 기업들의 데이터 품질에 대한 높은 관심과 품질관리의 현주소를 직접 체험할 수 있었다.

데이터베이스에 대한 새로운 패러다임 모색을 위한‘2003 데이터베이스 그랜드 컨퍼런스’가 지난달 11일~12일 이틀간에 걸쳐 코엑스 컨퍼런스센터에서 열렸다. ‘데이터, 데이터 관리 및 데이터 품질’과‘전략적 자산으로서의 데이터베이스 활용’이라는 주제로 열린 이번 컨퍼런스에는 산업계와 학계, 그리고 정부기관 데이터베이스관련 담당자 약 300여명이 참석해 데이터베이스 품질 관리와 활용이 큰 관심사임을 보여줬다.

지난 9.22(월)~9.24(수) 중국 상해에서 제3회 국제DME컨퍼런스 및 제5회 아시아DME컨퍼런스가 개최되었다. 우리협회를 비롯 한국가스공사, 한국석유품질관리원, 한국가스안전공사, LPG수입사 등 관련업계에서 많은 관심을 가지고 참가했다. 관련내용을 게재한다.
