In this study, survey analysis was conducted to determine the demands of science & technology information service by the groups of users. The questionnaire was composed of the need for 20 services in the science & technology information, the need for personal information to people-to-people exchanges, and information that can be shared with others. KOSEN users 1,013 people participated in the survey, and the analysis of variance was conducted depending on institution, profession, final degree and the age of the respondents. Results of frequency analysis, there were in high demands for trend analysis, papers, research reports, patents, knowledge queries, project announcements, jobs, experimental methods, information society and study abroad/Post-doc information, and all services except mentoring, community and blog were appeared to have the significant differences depending on the groups of users. Also the personal information deemed to be necessary for interaction with others was resulted in specialization, thesis/research performances, career, organization, jobs, final degree and education in order, there were partially difference depending on the user's groups. In addition, 97% of respondents had their own scientific and technical information to be shared with other people in order of papers, presentations (ppt), reports, experimental methods and the images. The results of this study can be used as useful information for scientists and engineers to develop a user-centered personalized services and are expected to be helpful to set the direction of science information services in the future.

Due to the paradigm of open science and advanced digital information technology, data sharing and re-use have been actively conducted and considered data-intensive in a wide variety of disciplines. This study aims to investigate the intellectual structure portrayed by the research products re-using the data sets from ICPSR. For the purpose of this study, a total of 570 research products published in 2017 from the ICPSR site were collected and analyzed in two folds. First, the authors and publications of those research products were analyzed in order to show the trends of research using ICPSR data. Authors tend to be affiliated with university or research institute in the United States. The subject areas of journals are recognized into Social Sciences, Health, and Psychology. In addition, a network with clustering analysis was conducted with using co-word occurrence from the titles of the research products. The results show that there are 12 clusters, mental health, tabocco effect, disorder in school, childhood, and adolescence, sexual risk, child injuries, physical activity, violent behavior, survey, family role, women, problem behavior, gender differences in research areas. The structure portrayed by ICPSR data re-uses demonstrates that substantial number of studies in Medicine have been conducted with a perspective of social sciences.

This study is aimed to overcome the limitation of traditional learning competence and career management system, and conducted to design the function of integrated ePortfolio and the elements of the system for administrative control of curricular and extracurricular program of the university as well as to develop a printout-based prototype in the context of S-university. Researchers deducted the main menus and functions of the integrated ePortfolio by two experts validification procedures, searched for the subfunctions, and secured their validity. Mainly 6 elements of integrated ePortfolio system are designed as follows: basic information, learning and competence management, course and career management, portfolio management, and community. Among these, the three elements of learning and competence, course and career, and portfolio management are assessed as excellent and differentiated from traditional ePortfolios. The study also developed a printout-based prototype of ePortfolio system and provided authentic guide for the ePortfolio system. At the same time, the result of the study contributed to increasing the sense of the developmental direction of the ePortfolio in the institute.

The purpose of this study was to explore the domestic and overseas home modification policies, and review the direction of domestic home modification policies to enable 'Aging In Place; AIP' and the competencies required of occupational therapist as and expert in home modification. In order to expand occupational therapy for domestic home modification and strengthen occupational therapist competency, it is required to establish a clear and practical home modification process that reflects the design and intervention of occupational therapy. Appropriate selection and standardization of the evaluation tools that identifies the needs of the elderly and reflects the characteristics of domestic housing types are also required. In addition, it is necessary to understand policies and systems, and endeavour to establish a relevant knowledge base for communication and cooperation with experts in other fields. In terms of the policy, there is a need for the home modification support system that allows the elderly to adapt to their aging regardless of their income level, beyond the existing support system, which was implemented mainly for low-income people and disabled. In addition, as in overseas cases, the efforts need to be made to provide various and efficient measures, such as support for barrier-free housing, expansion of the scope of support through cooperation between the national government and local governments, low-interest loans and tax reductions, and establishment of governance with organizations and institutions related to home modification services.

Our society is evolving into an aging society. The purpose of this study is to investigate how digital informatization capacity of elderly people, one of the so - called information - neglected people, affects social activities. To this end, we analyzed the relationship between digital informatization level and social activity satisfaction level of old elderly people based on the results of the digital information gap survey in 2017. As a result, it was found that there was a positive relationship between digital access and satisfaction level of social activities, such as whether elderly people have wired / wireless information devices and internet accessibility. Second, it was found that digital information capacity level such as PC usage ability and mobile digital device utilization ability had a positive (+) relationship with only social activities. Third, the level of satisfaction with social activities increased as the level of digital information utilization increased, such as whether they were using wired and mobile Internet. This suggests that the government needs a policy to resolve various information gaps that can enhance the level of digital informatization of elderly people.

This study aimed to investigate the role of social support to enhance posttraumatic growth in the Family Caregivers focusing on their trauma by development of the elderly with dementia. The study subjects were 204 family Caregivers for the elderly with dementia and the data were analyzed by the gender. This study utilized IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 20.0 for analysis, and the main results of this study were as follows. First, female group of the family Caregivers showed significantly higher in the level of trauma while male group showed significantly higher in the informal areas of social support and posttraumatic growth. Second, female group showed the protective effect in the formal area of social support and male group did the effect in the formal and informal area of social support. As such, this study investigated the level of trauma by gender of family Caregivers for the elderly with dementia and suggested the implementation strategies to enhance posttraumatic growth. Moreover, this study has the meaning to provide the required fundamental data to establish proper community care upon demonstrating the practical analysis results considering the characteristics of social support.

Language is an important medium for communication among the members of society and a mirror that reflects society as a whole. As society and culture change and develop over centuries, language follows suit. To keep up with the changes in the new era and express new concepts, countless new neologisms continue to appear. Recently, the use of neologisms is getting increasingly focused on social networking service and other Internet communication sites, which then spread rapidly through various media. If you look at the popular neologisms on the Internet, it implicitly reflects conflicts between the eras and the generations, people's psychology and ideology, and social phenomena such as culture. The function of neologisms is not solely for the entertainment element of communication but also for criticizing social problems and their vital use as a search keyword. This study focuses on the meaning and importance of gathering information and analyzing records about neologisms that reflect the social phenomenon in a certain period, and this will be labeled as "neologism archiving." This study proposes a direction for the construction of a neologism archive by comparing the currently existing neologism archiving system with the existing dictionary concept. In addition, this study serves as a reminder of the convenience and the contemporary social phenomena, such as smooth communication between generations, and the dissemination of inequality of information sharing. Lastly, this study aims to support experts with their research on neologisms for the social phenomenon.

The study aims to understand major topics and concerns of gender identity-related questions expressed by the users of the NAVER social Q&A site. To achieve this goal, we analyzed 2,120 questions created from 2010 to 2018 using natural language- and information retrieval-based methods. Results indicated that the major topics discussed by the users include interpersonal relationships, doubts about gender identity, sexual orientation, feelings and relationships, and concerns about gender identity. In addition, users mainly expressed concerns regarding general issues of gender identity; sexual orientation; negative cognition about gender identity; confession, coming-out, homosexuality; future, heterosexual relationships, military enlistment; and causes of gender identity confusion. The present study effectively derives information needs from real-world concerns about sexual identity by employing topic modeling techniques, and by comparing the advantages of exact match and tf-idf-based information retrieval methods extends methodology of Library and Information Science. Further, it has contributed to the academic maturity of the study of information behavior by observing the information needs or information-seeking behaviors of online community users with specific interests.

Care of people with severe disabilities requires care throughout their life cycle compared to non-disabled families. For this reason, carers of severely handicapped families are highly likely to have negative feelings throughout the family as well as daily stress. Disabled families also have a high rate of experiencing difficulties between non-disabled children or married couples in life centered on the disabled. In particular, the rapid aging in Korea affects the lives of the elderly disabilities along with the aging of the caregivers. The study explored alternatives to realistic support through the past and present experiences of caregivers with disabilities through qualitative research methods, and derived hopes and expectations for the future as follows.First, after confirming the disability for infants and toddlers with disabilities, information about the support system or system is provided from the rating agency. Second, providing "customized care support" suitable for the type of disability or individual characteristics at the social, political, institutional, and economic levels. Third, the provision of programs for non-disabled children and the provision of healing programs only for families with disabilities or those with disabilities. Fourth, the provision of spaces and programs that provide rest and rest for adults with disabilities. Fifth, the application of a long-term care system for the elderly reflecting the aging age of the disabled and institutionalization of community care for the disabled. The research is meaningful in that it presents discussion points for improving the quality of life of adults and the elderly with disabilities.

Smart rural construction is an important direction for the Chinese government to promote the cause of "Rural Revitalization". In this paper, in the Xikou village project of the "future community" smart rural demonstration development project proposed by the local government of Zhejiang Province, China, the researcher participated in the design of the intellectualization of the smart rural life circle from the perspective of UX design and through qualitative and quantitative research methods. Through field investigation, understand the users' needs for intelligent design of smart countryside, and on this basis, design the maximum space of the region as a cognitive smart rural demonstration park, and quantitatively analyze the user experience feedback after the completion of the project. Before and after the actual design and application of the "Xikou village" in the demonstration area, chapters 3 and 4 are the symbols that can remember the rural era, the Rural Cultural Exchange Square. In the intelligent office space and living space, the user needs are composed of the design results. In order to reduce the anxiety of residents and tourists caused by the intelligent environment, the artificial manual service part is also designed. Now, as a case of intelligent rural space design, resident residence is developing continuously.
