Design of Platform Independent 3D Shoe CAD System (플랫폼에 독립적인 3D 신발 캐드 시스템의 설계)

  • CAD system is a very important technology in designing the products which we are using today. This CAD technology has been enlarging its area into 3D CAD systems with the development of computer graphics technologies. In particular, such advances have been realized in special area such as the CAD system for designing shoes. However, because it is difficult to design a 3D CAD system, most CAD developments except for major CAD software companies usually have employed the AutoCAD which realizes 3D concepts. Also, many shoes' designers have been skilled with 2D shoe CAD systems and then they can make high achievements. Therefore, we design a new shoe CAD system with advantages of 2D CAD system and 3D CAD system. We also implement the scheme to transfer the data between 2D CAD system and 3D CAD system and also grading technologies to get patterns of various shoes size from a basic shoe's design.

  • 외산 캐드가 대다수를 차지하는 국내 캐드 시장에서 고군분투하고 있는 국산 캐드 제품이 있다. 기술독립의 가치와 국내 기술의 세계 표준화를 목표로 삼고 있는 마이다스아이티의 MidasCAD(마이다스캐드)는 건축사를 위한 'ArchDesign(아키디자인)' 제품을 출시하고, 사용자와의 소통을 통해 제품을 보완하며 국내 시장을 공략하고 있다. 아울러 9월 중에는 '마이다스캐드 2022' 버전이 출시 예정이다. 지난 8월 24일, 김기봉 마이다스아이티 국내사업그룹장을 직접 만나 마이다스캐드의 개발 방향, 마케팅 전략과 목표 등에 관한 이야기를 들어보았다.

  • 본 논문에서는 의류 제품의 기획, 디자인 시제품 검토 등의 작업을 효과적으로 지원하는 의상 캐드 시스템의 창조 모델을 제안한다. 이 참조모델은 디자이너의 패션 일러스트 작업을 지원하는 스케치 시스템, 의상 캐드 전반에 걸쳐 사용되는 문양을 생성하는 문양 생성 시스템, 옷본 디자인 작업을 수행하는 옷본 편집 시스템, 그리고 시제품 검토를 위한 가시화 시스템으로 구성된다. 또한 본 문에서는 이러한 시스템들을 구현하기 위한 관련 이론들을 제시하고 시제품을 구현한다. 구현된 시스템들은 기존의 상용화된 캐드 시스템들보다 고급화된 디자인 환경을 제공함으로서 의상 디자인 작업을 효과적으로 지원한다.

Effect of repeated learning for two dental CAD software programs (두 종의 치과용 캐드 소프트웨어에 대한 반복학습의 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to assess the relationship between the time spent designing custom abutments and repeated learning using dental implant computer aided design (CAD) software. Materials and Methods: The design of customized abutments was performed four stages using the 3DS CAD software and the EXO CAD software, and measured repeatedly three times by each stage. Learning effect by repetition was presented with the learning curve, and the significance of the reduction in the total time and the time at each stage spent on designing was evaluated using the Friedman test and the Wilcoxon signed rank test. The difference in the design time between groups was analyzed using the repeated measure two-way ANOVA. Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS statistics software (P < 0.05). Results: Repeated learning of the customized abutment design displayed a significant difference according to the number of repetition and the stage (P < 0.001). The difference in the time spent designing was found to be significant (P < 0.001), and that between the CAD software programs was also significant (P = 0.006). Conclusion: Repeated learning of CAD software shortened the time spent designing. While less design time on average was spent with the 3DS CAD than with the EXO CAD, the EXO CAD showed better results in terms of learning rate according to learning effect.

  • CAD system is a very important technology in designing many products which we are using today. This CAD technology have enlarging its area into 3D CAD systems with the development of computer graphics technologies. In particular, such advances have also been realized in special area such as the CAD system for designing shoes. 3D CAD systems for shoes design must provide compatibility between 3D and 2D data because shoes are made using 2D parts of pieces of leather or cloth. Many designers get high performances using 2D shoe CAD systems because they have had long practices with the 2D systems. Therefore, to get the mapping between 2D modeling and 3D modeling is one of very important components in 3D CAD system. In this paper, we proposed a flattening method that convert 3D shoes data to 2D data.

Evaluating usability of and satisfaction with two types of dental CAD software (두 종류 치과 임플란트 캐드 소프트웨어의 사용자 편의성 및 만족도 비교)

  • Purpose: This study evaluated the usability of and satisfaction with two types of computer-aided design (CAD) software among users who had experience with dental implant CAD software and those who did not. Materials and Methods: Dental technicians (n = 20) who had previous experience with dental implant CAD Software and students from the College of Dentistry (n = 12) who had never designed implant custom abutments were asked to evaluate two types of CAD Software, Exocad and Deltanine. In addition, the participants were asked to fill out a structured questionnaire (Section 1: Entering basic information and retrieving files; Section 2: Setting conditions before abutment design; Section 3: Setting abutment design; and Section 4: Overall satisfaction). For the statistical analysis of the collected data, Mann-Whitney U test was used (${\alpha}=.05$). Results: The ease of design and satisfaction with the implant CAD Software, evaluated with respect to 21 statements divided into four Stages, were significantly higher for Exocad in both groups for Secion 1. For Sections 2 and 3, participants with experience evaluated Deltanine to be significantly better. For Section 4, both groups evaluated Exocad Software to be better. Conclusion: Overall, the Exocad Software was evaluated as having better usability and offering greater satisfaction. However, in terms of performance in the core of the design process, i.e. Sections 2 and 3, Deltanine was rated higher by the experienced users. Thus, if the user interface design parts are supplemented, Deltanine CAD Software could be put to a wider use in clinics.

  • Solid and hazardous waste disposal site selection by using GIS(Geographic Information System) is the purpose of this study. The criteria of site selection are usually defined in accordance with geological, cultural and social characteristics. Unadequate adaptation of these criteria in a site selection may cause serious problem of water and soil pollution. The environmental information for extraction of these criteria consist of a lot of data : geology, geomorphology, hydrogeology, engineering geology, cultural and social information.... GIS could be easily applied to construct of this environmental information data base, and carry out cartography simulation using overlay mapping technique(polygon overlay). ARC/INFO(GIS system) was used for these studies, and AML(ARC/INFO Macro Language) in this system provided more variable and effective methods for cartography simulation. TM(Thematic Mapper) images were used for the evaluation of land cover/use in the studied area, by using ERDAS image processing system.

  • 3차원 어패럴 캐드 시스템은 의류산업의 자동화를 위해 세계적으로 꾸준히 연구가 이루어지고 있는 분야로서, 의복의 디자인에서부터 의복 패턴의 결정까지 모든 의복 생산 공정을 컴퓨터를 사용하여 관리, 조절할 수 있는 유용한 시스템이다. 어패럴 캐드 시스템은 지금까지 많은 연구가 이루어졌고 또 만족 할만한 결과들을 얻고 있다. 하지만 3차원 형상으로부터 최종적인 2차원 패턴을 결정할 때 다트를 주어 절개를 하여야하는데, 이 절개선의 결정에 대한 연구가 아직 이루어지지 않았으며, 사용자가 경험상 임의로 다트를 지정 해야하거나 의복에 사용하기에는 부적합하여 아직 미흡한 부분이 남아있다.   • The purpose of this study is to help user understand the basic principles and interfaces of each program, and to provide a base material for the development of more efficient apparel CAD systems to compensate for each program's shortcomings by comparing the function of three apparel CAD systems: Yuka CAD, Opti-tex, and Style CAD. For this purpose, the skirt waistband and sleeve armhole line creation process were selected based on these two criteria. 1) There is a big difference between principle and method between CAD systems. 2) When CAD system is used rather than paper drawing process, the process is shortened and convenience is high. In this study, pros and cons and supplement point of each CAD system are suggested by comparing the functions of the CAD system performing the selected drafting process by four criteria: icon, key, method, and characteristic point. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the three CAD systems differ in the basic principle and interface environment. As a result of analyzing the skirt waistband method function, it was confirmed that the band line is formed directly on the outline of the skirt and the band dart recognition function is the most efficient function and as a result of the analyzing the sleeve armhole line method function, it was confirmed that the curve generation function using the shape of the actual curve measure and the length adjustment function through the automation of the dimension calculation is the most efficient function.
