Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the three cases of pulsatile tinnitus without any cause improved by acupotomy and acupuncture. Methods: Three patients diagnosed with pulsatile tinnitus with no abnormalities detected on examination were treated with acupotomy and acupuncture. The improvement of symptoms was evaluated by visual analogue scale(VAS). Results: The visual analogue scale has decreased from 7 to 0, from 5 to 1, and from 6 to 0, respectively. Conclusions: Acupotomy had shown a positive clinical effect in the treatment of the pulsatile tinnitus without any cause in this case reports.

The principle of Acupuncture effect on meridians is what physical stimulation does on general physiology so that is gets into new equilibrium from the fallen function state of human body. However, in western medicine, it is generally accepted that the action passageway of various kinds stimulation has been regarded as nerve-endocrine-immune system. Acupuncture effect has been regarded any action for all meridians as a respones by the stimulation. Western medicine doesn's accept treatment for transmission of the bio-energy. In this paper, we compared change of electric potential when an acupuncturist's bio-energy is passed on and when is not. As a result of clinics, the acupuncture effect is different as acupuncture method, when an acupuncturist's bio-energy is passed on the meridian and it isn's. It implies that acupuncture effect can complicately respond by simple acupuncture stimulus and transmission of bio-energy, on same meridian. We could confirm the relationship between an acupuncturist's energy transmission and acupuncture effect. Therefore, we could diagnosis the state of meridian using change of electric potential on the same meridian.

A 5-year-old male Chihuahua with oral discomfort due to the presence of a maxillary acanthomatous epulis was referred to the acupuncture service at the Veterinary Medical Center of the University of Florida. For the patient, acupuncture treatments were performed for 11 sessions, at 1 month intervals with Chinese herbal medicine. The acupuncture points and Chinese herbal medicine used were selected based on TCM principles. The selected acupoints were Zusanli(ST36), Fenglong(ST40), Gongsun(SP4), Sanyinjiao(SP6), Pishu(BL20), Weishu(BL21), Taichang(LIV3), and Baihui(GV20). In addition, the Chinese herbal formulas Nei Xiao Wan and Si Jun Zi Tang were chosen. After one year of acupuncture and administration of Chinese herbal medicine, the acanthomatous epulis was remarkably decreased in size. It is considered that the use of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine would be useful treatments of canine acanthomatous epulis.

It is used the important method that Oriental doctor determines patient's disease status observing patient's state of tongue in Oriental medicine clinic. In this paper, it developed the how to use the pulse diagnosis and tongue diagnosis based on s mart based electronic acupuncture. It will do objective judgment without wrong diagnosis. In this paper, we developed the algorithm that it automatically determines patient health condition and smart electronic acupuncture kit using fuzzy logic and fuzzy reasoning system were completed. In this paper, Simulation results proved that acupuncture is effective than the traditional method of using electronic intelligence.

Objectives : This study was designed to evaluate the effect of Jung-an acupuncture on Bell's palsy(peripheral facial paralysis) patients. Methods : We investigated 24 cases of patients with peripheral facial paralysis. The patients were divided into two groups. Both Group A, B were treated with general acupuncture and Group A was added to treatment with Jung-an acupuncture. We evaluated the treatment effect of each group three times by using Yanagihara's unweighted grading system. Results : As a result of evaluation by using Yanagihara score, they were not significant scores between two groups after treatment. Conclusions : Jung-an acupuncture and general Acupuncture has significant effect on acute(before 4 weeeks at onset) Bell's palsy. But there is no statistical significance in Jung-an acupuncture on acute phase(within 4 weeks of onset).

Obiective : The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of acupuncture treatment for chronic headache patients using power spectrum analysis of the heart rate variability(HRV). Methods : 15 clinical experiment participants were gathered and through a questionnaire patients who experienced headache for more than 4 hours a day and more than IS days per month were qualified as Chronic Headache patients. Treatment was afplied 2 times a weeks for 8 weeks. The acupoints, GV2O, HN23, ST8, HN46, TEl7, GB2O, LI2O, LI11, LI14, ST36, and LR3 were stimulated for 20 minutes. The effects of acupuncture treatment were analyzed using power spectrum analysis of the HRV. HRV was recorded before and after acupuncture treatment. Results : HRV before and after treatment was compared after 8 weeks of acupuncture treatment. Increase in mean values of SDNN and RMSSD were observed but the increases were not statistically significant. Increase in mean values of TP, LF and HF were observed but, the increase was significant(p<0.05) only in TP. Conclusions : The results suggest that acupuncture treatment on chronic headache patients can increase the activity of autonomic nervous system. Further use of HRV for quantitative analysis of acupuncture treatment on autonomic nervous system related symptoms is suggested.

Objectives : The essential tremor (ET) is characterized by a tremor of the whole body, including both arms. Recent studies suggest that its psychiatric and cognitive factors are more important for treatment and management than motor symptomsymptoms. This study was performed to report the effects of Korean medicine for essential tremor aggravated by Hwa-byung. Methods : We treated a 42 year- old man with Korean medicine (acupuncture, herb-medication and moxibustion) and mental therapy. The effects of the treatment for tremor and skin symptoms were measured by VAS and Severity score (3 level). We used SCL-90-R, BDI, BAI, PSQI and instrument of oriental medical evaluation for Hwa-Byung score (IOMEHB) for a psychological condition. Results : After treatments, tremor, Hwa-byung and accompanying symptoms have improved and subsided. VAS, SCL-90-R, BDI, BAI, PSQI, and IOMEHB have decreased. Conclusions : This result suggests that Korean medical treatment and mental therapy might be effective for the essential tremor aggravated with Hwa-byung.

A 4-year-old Thoroughbred gelding was referred to Chonbuk National University Animal Medical Center with inability to blink and drooping lower lip on the right side after traumatic accident. Through clinical examination, the horse was diagnosed as right-sided facial nerve paralysis. Acupuncture treatment was performed to treat the facial nerve paralysis. The selected acupoints were ST3, ST5, ST7, ST9, SI17, CV24 and Yintang. At the end of the $2^{nd}$ weeks of electroacupuncture treatment, the palpebral reflex was normally recovered. One month after the therapy, symmetry of the face was completely accomplished without the drooping lower lip. This case shows that electroacupuncture should be considered as an effective therapy for the traumatic facial nerve paralysis in horse.
