This was explorative study to exam whether the moderating effects of emotional expressiveness on the relationship between social anxiety and intimacy in romantic relationship were with classificaton of emotional type(positive, negative) and gender(male, female). Data of 270 students were analysed with hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The results were as follow. First, In case of male, positive emotional expressiveness had moderating effect between social anxiety and intimacy in romantic relationship, though negative emotional expressiveness had not. Second, In case of female, negative emotional expressiveness had moderating effect between social anxiety and intimacy in romantic relationship, though positive emotional expressiveness had not. The meaning of results, implications of results, and suggestions for following researches were discussed.

The purpose of this paper was to explore the effects of familism and sense of intimacy on Filial responsibility of women. This survey was conducted from March, 2014 to June, 2014 and 422 responses from the survey were used for the analysis. The research findings could be summarized as the followings. First, the mean of filial responsibility, familism and sense of intimacy were higher than average. Especially, the mean score of filial responsibility showed significantly higher score. Second, both of familism and sense of intimacy, income were the significant predictors to explain filial responsibility. So, filial responsibility has been kept and both of familism and sense of intimacy were revealed as significant factors to filial responsibility.

This study is to investigate the effects of self-differentiation, marital intimacy, and marital conflict coping strategies on marital satisfaction for remarried married couples. The survey Was conducted from April 4, 2017 to April 25, 2017 for the subject remarried couples aged more then 30years living in Sooul, Gyeonggi province, chungchong province, Jeolla province and Kyeongsang province. 48 questionnaires are distributed and analyzed with SPSS WIN 21. Results of the analysis showed that the higher the level of self-differentiation of the remarried couple, the more positive influence of marital satisfaction on the emotional intimacy and sexual intimacy as the sub-factors of marital intimacy, (-), respectively. As a result of in-depth interviews, low levels of self-differentiation have negative effects on marital satisfaction and marital intimacy, resulting in a vicious cycle in marital conflict. And these results show the possibility of the unified construction of a marital satisfaction improvement program considering self-differentiation, marital intimacy, and marital conflict coping style.

The purpose of this paper is to explore the factors causing adolescents' habitual use of text-based online social interaction (TOSI). The authors of the present study assumed that adolescents' perceived intimacy would affect the use of TOSI. Using structural equation modeling, the influences of perceived social presence and Internet self-efficacy on habitual use of TOSI were examined indirectly as well as directly, with and without intimacy as a mediate factor. The results show that the indirect effects were proven to be stronger compared with the direct effects. Perceived intimacy appeared to encourage more frequent uses of TOSI. The effects of intimacy were even more stronger especially with those who had higher levels of Internet self-efficacy.

This study aimed to identify the effect parent-adolescent intimacy and parent-adolescent communication on the resilience in male and female middle school students. Data were collected by 276 middle school students using a self-questionnaire. With SPSS 21.0, frequencies, percentages, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression were used to analyze the data. Communication with father and intimacy with father were identified as factors influencing the resilience of male middle school students, and communication with father and intimacy with mother were identified as factors influencing the resilience of female middle school students. Communication with fathers has been identified as a factor influencing the resilience of middle school boys and girls, so it is necessary to develop and apply educational programs for positive communication between middle school students and fathers. It is necessary to develop and apply an intervention program to improve intimacy between male middle school students and fathers and intimacy between female middle school students and mothers.

The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effect of couple communication(speaking and listening) in relationships between sexual intimacy and marital satisfaction of married middle-aged men and women. The results of this study are as follows. First, marital satisfaction, sexual intimacy, and speaking of couple communication were found to have significant positive correlation. Speaking and listening of couple communication appeared to have significant positive correlation with marital satisfaction. Secondly, sexual intimacy significantly predicted the marital satisfaction. Third, speaking and listening of couple communication significantly predicted the marital satisfaction. Fourth, speaking of couple communication in relationships between sexual intimacy and marital satisfaction did not show a moderating effect. Listening of couple communication in relationships between sexual intimacy and marital satisfaction showed a moderating effect. Through this results, we discussed the need for intervention on the potential use of sexual intimacy and listening of couple communication proved as a moderating variable in counseling and couple counseling program for married middle-aged men and women

This study was conducted in order to investigate the effect of interaction bewteen a Sense of Community and Marital Intimacy effect on learning participation motive in the church family ministry program. In this study, data from 607 people(male: 302, female: 305) nationwide churches and institutes participating in church family ministry program were collected as analysis targets. The produced results from this study are: First, Emotional connection, one of the Marital Intimacy, has meaningful effect (t=6.087, p<.001) on Continuous motivation, one of the learning participation motive. Second, Membership, one of the Sense of Community, has meaningful effect (t=3.343, p<.001) on Intrinsic motivation, one of the learning participation motive. Third, Influence, one of the Marital Intimacy, has meaningful effect (t=5.358, p<.001) on Extrinsic motivation, one of the learning participation motive.

The purpose of the paper was to investigate the relationship between the social familiarity and learners' participation and performance in terms of individual performance and team performance. In addition, experimental groups were split into two groups, depending on the level of social familiarity. The result showed that the social familiarity had positive correlational relations with the learners' participation, individual performance, and team performance. Additionally the group that showed high level of social familiarity had outperformed the others that showed low level of social familiarity. Some suggestions such that the importance of instructional strategy, which increase the social familiarity in web-based team learning environment were made.

The diffusion of smartphone has make people engaged in communication with mobile messenger in everyday life. To understand the rapid growth of mobile messenger usage, this study investigates the unique features of mobile messenger services as communication media. Based on the media synchronicity theory and literature about online communication, we identify the functional and emotional features of mobile messenger. In particular, this study demonstrates that functional and emotional features of mobile messenger would influence intimacy and fatigue. Also, intimacy and fatigue, as mediating variables, have an impact on user satisfaction and commitment toward mobile messenger service. The results of this study provide practical implications for mobile messenger providers and users which attempt to facilitate positive effect such as intimacy among users and reduce negative effect such as fatigue on mobile messenger communication.

This study presents the results of an empirical analysis on whether the experience of contact with North Korea and North Korean settlers affects the perceptions of unification. Specifically, the purpose of this study was to examine whether the contact experience enhances intimacy with the North Korean settlers or raises a friendly perception of North Korea.The results of this study are as follows. First, the experience of contact with North Korea and North Korean defectors had a positive effect on intimacy with North Korean settlers, friendly perception of North Korea, and perceptions of unification. Second, intimacy toward North Korean settlers and perception of North Korea played a mediating role between contact experience and unification consciousness.
