Effect of Soil Heating and Lateral Branching in White Spined Cucumbers (지중가온이 백침계 오이의 측지 발생에 미치는 영향)

  • The cultivation area of white spined cucumbers for export has continuously increased up to 121 ha in 2000. Since white spined cucumbers set fruits on lateral shoots, fruit yield is dependent upon the development of lateral shoots. Unfortunately, the major cultivation period is during winter season, October to February, when temperature and light are limited for the development lateral shoots. This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of soil heating on the development of lateral shoots in white spined cucumbers. Number of lateral shoots were 13.7 and 11.7 in the soil heated treatment and in the control, respectively. Number of marketable fruits per plant was 45 in the soil heated treatment as compared to 38 in the control. Fruit yield was 81 ton per ha, an 18% increase, in the soil heated treatment. Soil heating not only increased number of long lateral shoots but also decreased curved fruits.

  • 최근 수출오이의 재배 면적이 계속증가 추세에 있어 '99년 현재 143ha에 달하고 있다. 그러나 수출오이는 국내 오이와 재배방법이 상당히 달라 국내 오이는 주지착과형이지만 수출오이는 측지착과형으로 측지의 발생여부에 따라 수확량의 차이가 심하다. 따라서 수출오이의 성공여부는 측지발생을 어느정도 시키느냐에 달려 있다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 그런데 수출오이의 재배시기는 우리나라에서 재배환경이 가장 불량한 겨울철(10-2월)로, 저온 및 투광량 부족 등으로 인하여 측지발생율이 매우 저조하다. 따라서 본 시험은 수출오이의 측지 발생율을 높이고자 지중가온기 설치 여부에 따른 효과를 구명하고자 실시하였다. 그 결과, 생육(Table 1)은 접수의 줄기 직경이 지중가온 처리시 10.22mm로, 무가온의 8.64mm보다 굵었고, 엽장과 엽폭에 있어서도 지중가온 처리가 무가온 처리보다 좋았다. 곡과 발생수에 있어서도 지중가온 처리는 주당 0.73개가 발생하였으나, 무가온은 1.26개가 발생되어 지중가온 처리시 무가온에 비해서 생육이 좋아지고, 곡과 발생이 적었다. 주당 측지발생수(Table 2)는 지중가온구가 13.7개였고, 무가온구는 11.7개로 지중가온을 하면 측지발생수가 증가함을 알수 있었다. 또한 상품수확과수에 있어서도 지중가온구는 주당 45개인데 반해 지중무가온구는 38개였으며 따라서 전체적인 수량이 10a당 8,100kg으로, 무가온구의 6,840kg보다 18%의 증수효과가 있었다. 따라서 수출오이재배시 지중가온을 하면, 측지발생수가 증가하고 특히 장측지(Fig. 1)가 다수 발생하여 측지 수확과수가 증가하며, 곡과 등 기형과 발생이 감소하여 상품수량이 증가되므로써 기존 지중 무가온 재배에 비해 14% 소득향상 효과를 기대할 수 있다.시 생장이 둔화되었다. 밀폐시킨 삼각플라스크에서 자라는 Cell은 상태도 좋지 않고 전반적인 증식량도 적었다. Cell은 환기정도에 민감한 것으로 판단되며 삼각플라스크에서 약 35일 정도의 생장 주기를 가지는 것으로 사료된다. 배양 3주까지는 플라스틱 뚜껑으로 밀폐시킨 bottle에서 가장 많은 체세포배를 얻었다. Air filter를 달아 2일 마다 신선한 공기를 넣어 주었을 때는 배의 발달이 많이 늦어져 배양 3주째에 다른 처리보다 배의 수가 훨씬 적었다. 체세포배가 발달하는 동안에는 산소를 많이 요구하지 않으나 성숙하는 동안에는 산소를 많이 요구하는 것으로 생각된다.적인 것으로 나타났다. 다만, 곡선형은 물론 직선형에서도 열교환 튜브의 배치밀도, 튜브 길이 및 두께 등의 변화에 따른 최적화 연구가 수반되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.에서 제공된 API는 객체기반 제작/편집 도구에 응용되어 다양한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 제작에 사용되었다.x factorization (NMF), generative topographic mapping (GTM)의 구조와 학습 및 추론알고리즘을소개하고 이를 DNA칩 데이터 분석 평가 대회인 CAMDA-2000과 CAMDA-2001에서 사용된cancer diagnosis 문제와 gene-drug dependency analysis 문제에 적용한 결과를 살펴본다.0$\mu$M이 적당하며, 초기배발달을 유기할 때의 효과적인 cysteamine의 농도는 25~50$\mu$M인 것으로 판단된다.N)A(N)/N을 제시하였다(A(N)=N에 대한 A값). 위의 실험식을 사용하여 헝가리산 Zempleni 시료(15%$S_{XRD}$)의 기본입자분포로부터 %$S_{XRD}

Effect of Lateral Shoot Pinching and Shift of Drip Irrigation Site on the Number of Lateral Shoot and the Yield in White Spined Cucumber (백침계 오이의 적심방법과 관수부위 확대가 측지발생수와 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • An experiment was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of continuous lateral shoot pinching and gradual adjustment of drip irrigation lines in improving plant health as well as fruit yield and quality in white-spined cucumber grown in the greenhouse. Grafted white-spined cucumber seedlings were established at a density of 18,000 plants per ha in a greenhouse. Main stems were pinched at 21st node. Each of the lateral shoots was pinched at the 3rd node and 2-3 fruits per lateral shoot were harvested. Drip irrigation lines were gradually adjusted to provide water to the area of maximum root concentration. Plants grown with these combined treatments produced $55\%$ more lateral shoots and 38% more marketable yield, as compared to the control.

  • The fruiting habit pattern of white-spine cucumber, whose fruits are usually borne on the lateral branches, is different from domestic ones. The cucumber production far export has been focused on how to promote lateral shooting and how to increase the number of lateral branches. As the growing season of the exporting cucumber is confined to winter season, low temperature and weak light are limiting factors to lateral shooting. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of foliar application of growth regulator for induction of lateral shoot in white-spine cucumber. foliar application of growth regulator were focused on concentration and application time based on number of leaves. The visible damages were observed in applied leaves by $30mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ BA(benzyladenine) in retarding culture, but no significant by $10mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ BA in case of semi-forcing culture. The number of available lateral shoots were greater in applied plant with $10mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ BA than that of $30mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ BA, in applied plants at 10th and 15th loaves than that of applied plants at 5th leaves.

Effects of Times of Chip Budding and Rootstock Removal, Leaf Removal Plus Promalin Application on the Tree Growth and Lateral Development for 'Fuji'/M.9-T337 Nursery Trees ('Fuji'/M.9-T337 묘목의 삭아접 시기, 대목절단 시기, 적엽 및 Promalin 처리가 나무의 생장과 측지발생에 미치는 효과)

  • The objective of this study was to determine the influence of grafting timing, rootstock cut timing and leaf removal with promalin ($GA_{4+7}+BA$) treatments on the maiden tree growth, lateral development and flower bud initiation. In mid-March 1997, two-year-old M.9-T337 rootstocks selected with trunk diameter over 1 cm were planted in the field. Chip budding with 'Fuji' scion on M.9-T337 rootstock budded in mid-April was earlier in sprouting than chip budding in mid-June. Late cutting chip budding (LCCB) with 'Fuji' scion on M.9-T337 rootstock was lower in the failed budding percentage with 14% than that of early cutting chip budding (ECCB). Especially, ECCB in April was not suitable for scion growth such as uniformity with high percentage of failed tree. Grafting timing in mid-June and rootstock cutting timing of LCCB induced more branches and flower buds than other treatments. Removal of 8 to 10 uppermost immature leaves on central leader stem and application of Promalin 250 mg/L after every 30 cm of terminal growth produced a 189 cm tall tree with 9 flower buds and 14.2 short lateral shoot from 30 to 35 cm long in length in 1998. Promalin increased branching on second-season growth and, when combined with leaf removal, resulted in uniform distribution of branches along the central leader stem.

Analysis Change of Parcel Boundaries and Area by Transformation World Geodetic System (세계측지계 전환에 따른 지적 필지별 면적 변화 분석)

  • 현재 우리나라의 측량체계는 크게 측지분야와 지적분야로 이원화되어 있으며 측지분야에서는 2001년도에 측량법을 개정하여 ITRF2000좌표계와 GRS80 타원체를 측량기준으로 사용하는 세계측지계를 도입하였다. 하지만 지적 분야에서는 국민의 재산권과 직접적으로 관련이 있는 필지의 경계와 면적의 변화 연구는 미미한 상태이다. 따라서 본 연구는 2010년 세계측지계 도입 후 지적분야에서 발생할 수 있는 필지별 면적 변동에 따른 사회적 혼란 여부를 판단하기 위하여 서울특별시 종로구 숭인등 숭인4구역주택재개발지구를 연구 대상지로 선정하여 세계측지계 전환에 지적 필지별 면적 변화를 분석하였다. 분석결과 연구대상지는 세계측지계와 지역측지계가 종선(X)축으로 305.87m. 종선(Y)축으로 70.87m 편차로 두 좌표계 간 북동방향으로 313.97m의 차이가 있고, 현행성과와 비교한 결과 종선(X) 방향으로는 평균 +4.0cm, 횡선(Y) 방향으로는 평균 -3.0cm의 차이가 나타났으며, 필지별 면적의 변동량은 $1.0m^2{\sim}3.0m^2$ 차이가 있지만 허용오차 범위 내에 있으므로 세계측지계 전환에는 문제점이 없는 것으로 판단된다. 하지만 본 연구의 결과는 그 대상범위가 한정되어 있고 기 검증된 지적기준점 성과를 사용한 결과이므로, 향후 보다 효율적인 세계측지계 전환과 도입을 위해서는 현 지적기준점체계의 정확한 세계좌표계 변환 성과를 기준으로 한 대단위의 필지별 면적 변동량 및 허용범위 분석과 같은 추가적인 연구가 조속히 이루어져야 할 것으로 판단된다.

A Research for the Adoption of WGS-84 Geodetic Datum to the Chart and the Map (WGS-84 측지계의 해도와 육도 적용에 관한 고찰)

  • 본 연구는 Bessel 측지계에서 WGS-84 측지계로 좌표변환할 경우 발생할 수 있는 우리나라 지형정보의 변동을 고찰한 것이다. 고찰 대상은 우리나라 지형형태와 독도와 일본의 오끼제도 사이의 거리로 하였다. Bessel 측지계에서 WGS-84 측지계로 좌표변환한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1). Mercator 도법에서, 임의로 선정한 정사각형의 우리나라 주변 지형은 고위도에서 축소되면서 부채꼴 모양으로 변형되는 결과를 나타내었다. 2). UTM 도법에서, 우리나라 남동부근 연안의 52S 지역중에서 임의로 선정한 정사각형 지형은 가로가 2m 축소되고, 세로는 1m 축소되었다. 3). Mercator 도법을 이용한 한국의 독도와 일본의 오끼제도 사이의 거리를 비교한 결과 오끼제도가 독도쪽으로 약 25.3m 근접하게 되는 결과를 나타내었다.

Optimum Management of Tomato Side Stems Pruning in Summer Cultivation (고온기 토마토 재배시 적정 측지관리방법 구명)

  • This research was conducted to establish appropriate methods to prune tomato side stems during summer. Cherry tomatoes "Unicorn" (Monsanto Korea, Korea) were grown in the coir based growing medium, and irrigation was controlled time based system. There were three pruning treatments: 1) removing all side stems (ACUT), 2) remaining two leaves on the side stems right below any cluster (PCUT), and 3) remaining two leaves on all side stems (LEFT). Experimental results showed that the occurrence of swollen stems, a symptom of nutrient excess, was influenced by side stem pruning due to blocking of consumption of photosynthetic products. The photosynthetic rate was not different between leaves on main stem and those on side shoots. Therefore the differences in the total amounts of photosynthetic products seemed to come out from the differences in leaf areas on each treatments, influencing on fruit yield difference. The yields and harvesting rates were better in ACUT treatment when tomato plants were harvested until $5^{th}$ cluster, however tomato yield was higher in LEFT treatment when more then $5^{th}$ clusters were harvested.

Policy Framework for Introducing World Geodetic Reference System (세계측지계의 체계적 적용방안에 관한 연구)

  • Geodetic Reference System was deferred from 2007 to 2010. Although National Geographic Information Institute in Korea takes charge of it, the progress is slow without clear policy alternatives. In this regards, this study aims at suggesting practical measures for introducing World Geodetic Reference System. Successful foreign countries have well established institutional system for improving their geodetic reference systems. In Korea, National Geographic Information Institute, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and some municipalities have propelled introduction of the World Geodetic Reference System. However, none of them have systemical approaches. Although National Geographic Information Institute has conducted several researches regarding World Geodetic Reference System, comprehensive policy measures by central governments are not yet made. It suggests methods of data conversion, organizational structures, financial resources, and other supportive measures. Introduction of World Geodetic Reference System is nationwide project. However, there is not nationwide project promotion and management system yet. This research suggests overall policy frameworks to effectively propel World Geodetic Reference System.

Assessment of Substantial Equivalence and Environmental Risk for Event Selection of Genetically Modified Chrysanthemum (국화의 GM 이벤트 선발을 위한 실질적 동등성 및 환경위해성 평가)

  • As an assessment of substantial equivalence and environmental risks of branchless chrysanthemum GM lines (LeLS69, LeLS76, LeLS80) developed in Korea, we investigated their degree of branchlessness and developmental characteristics including growth and flowering, as well as the stability of populations of insect pests and soil microbes. The GM lines were compared with a control variety, 'Jinba'. LeLS80 showed the highest level of branchlessness among the three GM lines, whereas abnormal axillary buds developed in lines LeLS76 and LeLS69. There were no significant differences between the growth characteristics of 'Jinba' and the GM lines. The branchlessness LeLS80 was increased during the summer season, suggesting that it is a useful germplasm for developing elite branchless cultivars. These GM lines showed no significant differences in the occurrence of five insect pests including aphids, mites, leaf miners, thrips, and whiteflies. Similarly, for soil microbes including bacteria and actinomycetes, there were no significant differences between 'Jinba' and the GM lines. However, there was a higher occurrence of fungi in the GM lines compared to 'Jinba'. Our findings suggest that 'Jinba' and the GM lines are substantially equivalent, although further monitoring studies are needed to confirm this.
