A Study on Developing and Applying a Tool for Measuring Achievements of Reading Programs for Children (어린이 독서프로그램의 성과 측정 도구 개발과 적용에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate a measuring scale for the effect of reading programs for children. First, in literature review, the effects and children's reading programs performance scales were analyzed, and then independent variables, dependent variables, and control variables for children's reading achievements were defined. Second, survey questionnaires for children, librarians, program instructors, and heads of child centers were designed to measure dependent variables and control variables on the scale. Third, the questionnaires for children were distributed to 10 public libraries participating in <2013 The Reading with Library> programs for two times in the early and the late time of the programs. Also, the survey questionnaires of 30 librarians, program instructors, and heads of the child centers were carried. Finally, all of the data were collected and analyzed in time series, and the improvements for the scale were proposed.

The Development of a Measurement Tool for Educational Satisfaction of Sport Ethics Program (스포츠윤리교육 프로그램의 교육만족도 측정도구 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a measurement tool for education satisfaction of sport ethics program and to verify its validity. To achieve this goal, 3 steps of experimental processes were carried out. In the first step, the pilot questionnaires was created on the basis of previous researches regarding sport ethics education, education satisfaction, and response assessment. In the second process, as a pilot survey step, construct validity was obtained through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis of the measure constructed by the first process. In the third process, as a main survey step, external validity was obtained through difference verification, then questionnaires were constructed based on the analyzed contents. As a result of these steps, a measurement tool for educational satisfaction of sport ethics program composed of 17 questionnaires was developed. It consists of education contents (6), instructor competency (5), and education effect (6).

Developing a Measurement Tool for Student Satisfaction in Higher Education (대학교육 학생만족도 측정도구 개발 연구)

  • This study identified essential areas of student satisfaction by presenting questions concerning each educational area. The measurement tool of this study was developed based on a literature review, and its validity and reliability were verified through qualitative research and exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. To measure student satisfaction in university, we developed a tool comprising seven areas: curriculum and instruction; student advising, educational environment, student support, campus life, university image, and administrative services. A total of 54 questions were prepared, and 7 factors were derived. Cronbach's alpha was 0.970 for all questions and ranged from 0.70 to 0.93 for each factor. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis were GFI 0.830, CFI 0.916, TLI 0.910, RMR 0.047, and RMSEA 0.047, which confirmed the suitability of the research model. Moreover, the convergent validity showed that the questions in this tool consistently described the component areas. Therefore, the research tools developed in this study were found to be suitable for measuring student satisfaction.

  • 멀티미디어 산업의 발달로 인하여 정보를 저장하기 위한 다양한 저장장치들이 개발되고 있으며, 이러한 저장장치들의 발달과 더 좋은 환경을 제공하기 위해 저장 장치에 대한 파일 시스템들이 개발되고 있다. 이처럼 파일 시스템들의 성능을 분석하기 위해서 기존의 파일 시스템 성능 측정 도구를 사용하면 해당 파일 시스템의 특성에 맞는 평가 요소를 정확하게 측정을 하지 못한다. 이에 따라 해당 저장장치의 특성에 맞게 최적화된 파일 시스템들은 그 특성이 고려된 성능 측정 도구들이 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 NAND 플래시 메모리를 위해 개발된 파일 시스템들의 특성들을 측정할 수 있는 성능 측정 도구의 설계에 관하여 기술한다.

A Study on the Development and Validation of the Information Literacy Test by Guilford's Structure of Intellect Model (길포드의 지능구조모형에 의한 정보활용능력 검사도구 개발 및 타당성 연구)

  • The test instrument utilized to diagnose and evaluate a trainee's ability are necessary for an effective information literacy education. Nevertheless, there is a lack of a standardized test instrument to comprehensively measure students' information literacy. The purpose of this study is to develop a standardized test instrument to evaluate the information literacy of middle school students, and to verify the reliability and validity of the test instrument. For this purpose, this study selected factors that can show the information literacy and developed an information literacy test framework that was designed based on Guilford's SOI model and Meeker's SOI-LA test. The test instrument that was developed through this study is a 30-item Web-based multiple-choice test. This study administrated tests in middle school students (794 students joined), and analyzed difficulty, reliability, discrimination index, validity of tests, and reviewed tests items to qualify the standardized test. The cutoff score was also decided when using these tests as a diagnostic information literacy assessment.
