  • In this paper, we derived 7 reliability measurement factors for effective web site construction through literature research and empirically measured reliability of the web site using "Xenu" and "Yslow" which are reliability measurement tools. We selected and tested total 12 domestic and foreign web sites. As a result of measuring those 12 web sites, the reliability level was varied in a number of aspects according to 7 measurement factors, and we suggested alternatives based on those 7 factors in order to build the effective web site.

  • In order to predict the performance and the usefulness of the narrow-band underwater acoustic measurement system at design stage, whose error variance is not clearly described, in this study a boundary equation to estimate the measurement accuracy is proposed based on the confidency as SNR variation. The boundary is presented as a function of SNR and the number of samples. In this paper, the measurement performance for narrow-band signal is simulated by the proposed boundary equation and the results are reviewed in the biased noise condition and separately in the background noise rejected condition.

  • Most of the sensorless vector control methods use the equivalent circuit of induction motors. Therefore parameter auto-measurement of drive motor is essential function in commercial sensorless vector control inverters. The accuracy of motor parameter measurement greatly affects the performance of sensorless vector control. In this paper limitations of conventional measurement methods are examined, and new measurement methods are proposed to solve those limitations.

  • In this research, we produced a simple momentum measurement system which figures out information for the real-time travel distance with modularizing a momentum measurement system by using the acceleration sensor, MCU and Bluetooth to measure the exact momentum. In the simulation experiments, we compared the reliability and accuracy of the new momentum measurement system with those of existing momentum measurement systems to confirm that the new momentum measurement system shows superior reliability and accuracy. Base on this results, we will produce the enhanced momentum measurement system, compact and possible to shoe-mount, in future.

  • An optical method of phase shifting interferometry is presented for the 3-dimensional profile measurement of mirror surfaces with nanometer resolution. A series of optical interferometric fringes are generated by comparing the surface to be measured with a reference flat. The fringes are captured by a CCD camera and then analyzed to obtain actual surface profile. Detailed principles are described along with necessary image processing algorithms. finally, several measurement examples are discussed which were performed on lapped surfaces, hard discs, and semiconductor wafers.

  • An automated flow injection analysis apparatus manufactured economically was used in the automatic measurement of E. col growth in shake-flask culture of nutrient broth. The detailed measurement of whole growth was possible at intervals of 10 minutes by the automatic measurement system which adopted the sterilized nutrient broth as a carrier solution. Using distilled water as a carrier solution showed less accurate results than nutrient broth.

  • The measurement of solid particles suspended in air is conducted with a quartz crystal microbalance. The measurement system is connected to a personal computer and multiple sensors are utilized to make simultaneous measurement possible. In this paper, the detail of experimental setup is extensively explained for the possible future application of the system in other areas. It is found that the measurement system is suitable for an on-line continuous determination of the concentration of solid particles in air.

  • This paper presents how to evaluate the accuracy and uncertainty of the measuring techniques and the measurement systems, and establish their accreditation procedures. There are largely static error and dynamic error in the measurement error. In particular, the static error which always remains in the measurement systems is obtained by proposed error equations. In addition, the accreditation procedures are proposed.

  • Given the lack of research on the measurement domain, this paper analyzed the statements related to length and area in the curricular materials developed under the 7th and the current mathematics curriculum in terms of the degree of guidance and the key learning elements of measurement. The results showed that despite the similarity of the most prevalent guidance type and learning elements, the current materials used open-ended or combined types in place of guided types and employed measurement reasoning and components while decreasing mere calculation in measurement, in comparison with the previous textbooks and workbooks. This paper close with implications on the revision of curricular materials related to the measurement domain as well as methodological suggestions of textbook analysis.

  • We studied an inherent error be caused by a measuring acoustic intensity using probe which can measure simultaneously the three-dimensional acoustic intensity. This three-dimensional intensity probe was constructed with four microphones, proposed by Suzuki et al. . In the computer simulation, we analyzed the nearfield measurement error with arbitary direction and each of axis direction on the ideal point source and the plate sound source which have finite size. From the results, in case of point source, we obtained accurate measurement below about 1dB when the distance of measurement was about 2.5 times with the distance among microphones in this probe. And in the case of plate sound source, the nearfield measurement error was decreased as the length of one side became above 0.02m, we obtained accurate measurement below about 1dB when the length of one side is 0.2m. The nearfield measurement error of finite size sound is small to ignore. Therefore this probe is useful to measure nearfield intensity.
