  • 엔드밀은 산업현장에서 정밀 금형과 다이 제조 시 넓게 사용되는 절삭 공구이며 공작기계의 향상에 따라 많은 발전을 거듭해 왔다 공작기계의 고속화에 따라 공작기계의 측면에서는 강성 증가, 열변형의 억제와 동적 안정성의 개선 및 응답성 개선을 통하여 정밀도를 향상시키고 이송속도와 절삭속도의 증가를 통해 생산성을 증대시키고 있으며 공구의 측면에서는 새로운 재종 및 코팅기법의 개발을 통해 공구수명의 향상을 달성하고 있다. 또한 공구형상의 최적화를 통해 동적 안정성을 확보하고 가공 정밀도를 개선하고자 하는 다양한 시도가 이루어지고 있다.(중략)

  • Chip flow angle is one of the important factors to be determined for the scheme of Chip Control. Up to now, however, a dependable way to predict the chip flow angle in practical cutting has not been established satisfactorily. In this paper a rather simple theoretical prediction of chip flow angle is tried based on some already widely confirmed hypotheses. The developed equation of chip flow angle contains the parameters of depth of cut d, feed rate f, nose radius $r_{n}$ side cutting edge angle $C_{s}$, side rake angle .alpha.$_{s}$ and back rake angle .alpha.$_{b}$. Theoretical results of chip flow angle given by this study bas been shown in a good agreement with experimental ones.s.s.s.s.

  • In this study, a procedure for analyzing chip-tool friction and shear processes in 3-D cutting with a single point tool has been established. The edge of a single point tool including circular nose is modified to the equivalent straight edge, then 3-D cutting with a single point tool is reduced to equivalent oblique cutting. Transforming the conventional coordinate systems and using the measured three component of cutting forces, force components on the rake face and the shear plane of the equivalent oblique cutting system can be obtained. And it can be possible to assess the chip-tool friction and shear characteristics in 3-D cutting with a single point tool.

  • In this study, Machining fine shaft was examined by Lathe. method is proposed to control the thrust force to 0. through relationship between the cutting depth and the thrust force in turning, fine-shaft of less than 0.1mm diameter in turning is confirmed experimentally. also we propose practical expression to control thrust force in turning Through to change the approach angle, optimal tool design would be possible in turning.

  • 가계가공은 절삭 부위의 냉각작용과 윤활작용을 위해 절삭유를 많이 소모한다. 절삭유는 염소계의 극압첨가제 등이 함유되어 있어 작업자들에게 유독할 뿐만 아니라 대기의 오염을 초래하여 청정생산을 저해하게 되므로 이런 전통적인 방법은 작업자의 직업병으로부터 보호와 환경보호를 위하여 새로운 가공방법으로 변경되어야만 한다. MQL 기계가공 방법은 절삭유를 아주 소량 소모하므로 청정생산을 위한 대안으로 떠오르고 있지만 많은 작업자들이 이에 대한 기술적인 확신이 부족하여 이 방식의 사용을 주저하고 있다. 본 연구는 MQL 가공 방식에서 가공의 특성을 파악하여 표면거칠기에 영향을 미치는 인자와 범위를 찾고자 다양한 실험을 계획하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 실험의 계획에서는 각 가공의 특성을 잘 나타낼 수 있는 인자와 수준을 선정하고, 다양한 상황의 결과를 분석하여 MQL 가공의 특성과 최적의 가공조건을 도출하였다. 본 연구의 실험 및 분석의 결과로서, 절삭 파라미터와 그의 수준이 가공특성을 잘 반영할 수 있도록 적절히 선택된다면 MQL 기계가공은 표면거칠기 향상 및 원가절감이나 환경보호 측면에서 절삭유 윤활방식을 대체하는 green manufacturing을 위한 대안이 될 수 있음을 보였다.

  • In the present industry, there are necessary to cut not only iron metals but also non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, plastic and wood(Paulownia) therefore it had been made the studies of non-ferrous metals by many scientists. The purpose of this study is to conduct the basic experiment about influencing of the feedrate adjustment and the change of the side rake angle at turning of non-ferrous metals. As the results, the surface roughnesses and Cutting force adjustments were on the decrease with a side-rake angle and feedrate diminution in the case of the plastic, brass, aluminum, and paulownia.

  • In the previously reported Part I, the behavior of the flank wear for carbide tool was studied as a preceeding step to present a simple method for Quick Tool-Life Testing, and the following general equation was obtained $W_{f}$ =(a+bt) $V^{m}$ . In this study the following step-cutting formula for the constants a, b and m in the above general model is derived by using step-cutting data [a numerical formula] To check the validity of the above formula, the comparison is made between the tool-life equation inferred in this method and that inferred in the conventional tool-life testing method, when the wear criterion is 0.3mm. The equation obtained in the present method is V(T')$^{0.57}$=1763 whereas the equation obtained in the conventional tool-life testing method is V(T)$^{0.56}$=1605 The results of the above two formula are satisfactory and also verify the validity of the present research.earch.

  • Conventional polishing of stone panel edges has been done by hand. While this has changed somewhat with the advent of automatic machines, it is still very much a hand finishing technology. For the development of edge shape milling tool, the primary test on characteristics of edge shape milling tool was carried out. This paper presents the results of tests focused upon the milling capability that was varied by the variables of operation parameters. Author tried to confirm the effect of six operation parameters of equipment such as rotation speed, advance speed, applied load, water flow rate and rotational direction. The result from test was described in term of shape milling capability that was defined as cutting volume of rock by unit weight of tool wear. The variance of the results could indicate the optimum level of each operating parameters. The test was also carried out to determine the abrasion resistance varied according to the abrasive flow rate. The abrasion resistance was increased with the abrasive flow rate, but over some rate it was not changed.

  • The cutting force for peripheral end-milling considering run-out property was estimated and its result was compared with that of measured one. An experimental coefficient modelling was used for the formulation of theoretical end-milling force by considering the specific cutting force coefficient. Also, the specific cutting force, that is the multiplication of specific cutting force coefficient and uncut chip thickness, was used for the prediction of end-milling force. The end-milling force mechanics with run-out was presented for the estimation of theoretical force in peripheral end-milling by considering the geometric shape of the workpiece part. As a result, the estimated end-milling force shows a good consistency with the measured one. And it can be used for the prediction of force history in end-milling with run-out which incurs different start and exit immersion angle in entering and exiting condition.
