Effects of Cultural Condition on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of Elsholtzia angustifolia Kitag. (가는잎향유(Elsholtzia angustifolia Kitag.)의 종자발아 및 유묘생육에 미치는 재배조건의 영향)

  • 가는잎향유는 우리나라에 자생하는 고유종으로 꽃이 아름답고 향이 좋아 관상 및 약용으로 사용되나, 무분별하게 남획되기도 하여 자원의 보호가 요구되는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 가는 잎향유의 종 유지 및 재배방법 확립을 위하여 종자를 이용한 육묘조건을 조사하였다. 연구 내용은 파종용기, 파종립수, 토양종류, 추비농도 및 차광정도 등을 각 처리별로 2017년 6월 2일부터 7월 31일까지 약 8주간 수행되었다. 가는잎향유의 종자를 162, 200, 288구 트레이 및 사각분에 파종한 처리 중, 162구 트레이 처리구에서 엽면적과 지하부 생체중이 가장 넓거나 무거웠으며, 파종립수는 한 cell당 2립 처리구에서 초장이 안정적이고 엽면적이 넓었다. 파종용 상토로는 피트모스:펄라이트(3:1) 처리구가 코코피트:펄라이트(3:1) 처리구보다 생육에 효과적이었으며, 비료는 혼용토에 $300-200-200mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$(N-P-K)를 혼합한 처리구에서 발아율, 마디수, 엽록소 지수 등이 우수하였다. 재배관리는 추비는 hyponex를 농도별로 시비하였으나, 무처리구보다 생육에 효과적이지는 않았다. 또한, 재배시 차광처리를 하지 않는 것이 가는잎향유의 실생육묘에 유리하였다. 따라서, 가는잎향유의 육묘를 위해서는 피트모스:펄라이트(3:1) 혼용토에 비료를 $300-200-200mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$를 첨가한 토양을 162구 트레이에 충진하여, 한 cell에 2립씩 파종하고 무차광 조건에서 재배하며, 추비는 처리하지 않는 것이 생육에 가장 효과적일 것으로 생각된다.

  • 산꼬리풀(Veronica rotunda var. subintegra T.Yamaz.)은 다년생 초본류로 달성이라는 꽃말을 가진 우리나라에만 자생하는 특산식물이다. 줄기는 곧게 서며, 줄기 끝에 보라색의 꽃이 총상화서로 피어 관상가치도 우수하다. 또한, 전초를 일지향이라 불리우며, 중약대사전에는 천식과 기침, 감기, 기관지염 등에 효능이 있다고 보고되었다. 이러한 산꼬리풀의 육묘 체계의 확립을 위하여 2017년 6월 2일부터 7월 31일까지 약 8주간 육묘하였다. 종자 육묘기술 개발을 위한 공통조건은 200구 트레이에 원예상토를 충진한 다음 셀 당 4립씩 파종하여 55% 차광막이 설치된 배드에 배치하였으며, 이후 4, 6주차에 Hyponex $500mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$을 처리하였다. 토양실험은 원예상토 단용[$300-200-200mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$(N-P-K)], 피트모스:펄라이트(3:1) 및 코코피트:펄라이트(3:1) 혼용토를 사용하였다. 피트모스와 코코피트의 혼용토는 원예상토의 비료농도를 기준으로 0-0-0, 300-200-200, $600-400-400mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$의 비료를 첨가하였다. 파종 립수별 실험은 셀탕 1, 2, 4 및 6립으로 하였으며, 추비는 hyponex(6.5-6-19) 0, 500, $1000mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$를 증류수에 희석하여 2회 분무기로 살포하였다. 차광 실험은 0, 55, 75% 등의 차광막이 설치된 곳에서 수행하였다. 연구의 결과, 산꼬리풀의 육묘는 원예상토를 사용하는 것이 다른 토양에 비해 우수한 결과를 보였다. 초장, 경직경 및 엽수는 원예상토를 이용하는 것이 가장 효과적이었으며, 다음으로 피트모스:펄라이트 혼용토 순이었다. 근장의 경우, 피트모스 혼용토에서 비료 농도와 관계없이 원예상토에 비해 유의적으로 길었다. 파종립수에 따른 초장과 경직경은 1, 2립 파종구에서 가장 양호하였으며, 파종량이 적을수록 길고 굵어지는 경향이었다. 엽수도 셀 당 파종량이 적을수록 많아지는 경향이었으나, 유의적인 큰 차이는 확인되지 않았다. 추비는 지상부의 경우 hyponex $500mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ 처리 시 생육의 증가 효과가 있었지만, 비교적 고농도인 $1000mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ 처리구에서는 생육에 효과가 없거나 억제되는 결과를 보였다. 한편, 근장은 처리농도가 높을수록 증가하는 경향이었고, hyponex $1000mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ 처리구(9.9 cm)에서 가장 길었다. 산꼬리풀의 유묘 재배 시 차광처리는 경직경과 근장을 감소시키는 결과를 보였으며, 초장과 엽수는 처리에 따른 유의적인 차이는 없었다.

Effects of Pig Manure Application on Nitrogen Uptake, Yield and Active Components of Chrysanthemum boreale M. (돈분퇴비 시용이 산국의 질소흡수 및 수량과 유호성분에 미치는 영향)

  • To develop an efficient cultivation system to increase the productivity and the high quality of Chrysanthemum boreale M., the effects of pig manure (PM) application on the yield and the effective component were investigated in the pot scale (1/2000a scale). PM applied at the equivalent of six rates (with rate of 0, 2000, 4000, 6000, 8000, and 12000 kg $10a^{-1}$). Maximum plant biomass yield was achieved at 9510 kg $10a^{-1}$ and at 9940 kg $10a^{-1}$ for flower biomass. Nitrogen recovery efficiency was more than 42% for all nitrogen treatments and reached 66.6% at 4000 kg $10a^{-1}$. Proline $(7.4{\sim}9.2\;g\;kg^{-1})$ was the most abundant amino acid in the flower of C. boreale M. and the contents of amino acids increased with increasing PM application rate. Contents of cumambrin A. a sesquiterpene compound known to reduce blood-pressure, decreased with increasing PM application. The highly negative correlation was found ($R^2$ = -0.723, P<0.01) between content of cumambrin A and PM application. However, the amount of cumambrin A in flowers increased as PM rate increased, because of increasing flower yield. In conclusion, PM fertilization increases yields and enhances overall quality.

Microstructure and Magnetic Properties of Rapidly Solidified Nd-Fe(-Co) and Sm-Co(-Fe) Laves Compounds (급속냉각된 Nd-Fe(-Co)와 Sm-Co(-Fe)계 Laves 화합물의 미세조직과 자기특성)

  • Laves phases of $NdFe_2$, $Nd{(Fe_{0.5})}_2$, $SmCo_2$ and $Sm{(Fe_{0.5}Co_{0.5})}_2$ stoichiometry were prepared using a rapid solidification technology. Low temperature magnetic properties show ferromagnetic behaviors for the $Nd{(Fe_{0.5}Co_{0.5})}_2$, $SmCo_2$ and $Sm{(Fe_{0.5}Co_{0.5})}_2$Nd(Feo,Coo,) Laves compounds while a sort of spin reorientation has been suggested for the supposed composition of $NdFe_2$ alloy. This rapidly solidified $NdFe_2$ alloy is believed to consist of metastable rhombohedral $NdFe_7$ phase plus fine particles of Nd-rich phase. Some evidence of phase transition from the mixture of unstable $NdFe_7$ compound plus Nd-rich to $Nd_2Fe_{17}$ plus Fe-Nd-O phase was obtained after annealing the $NdFe_2$, alloy. The pseudo-binary Laves compound, $Sm{(Fe_{0.5}Co_{0.5})}_2$ exhibits a high coercivityof 4 kOe at room temperature with Curie temperature of $400^{\circ}C$ while the $Nd{(Fe_{0.5}Co_{0.5})}_2$ compound shows a magnetic moment of $2.8\;{\mu}_B/f.u.$.

Magnetic Properties of Nylon 6 based Nd-Fe-Co-Zr-B Pellets for Injection Molding (사출성형용 Nylon 6계 Nd-Fe-Co-Zr-B 펠렛의 자기특성)

  • Nylon 6 based magnetic pellets for injection molding were produced using plasma arc melt-spun $Nd_{10.5}Fe_{79}Co_{2}Zr_{1.5}B_{7}$ powders. Two sorts of bonded magnets made of two different sizes of particles ($38~75\;\mu\textrm{m}$ and $75~150\;\mu\textrm{m}$) were prepared to determine critical volume fraction of magnet powders, and the magnetic prop erties of the magnets were discussed as a function of density. For the nylon fi based Nd-Fe-Co-Zr-B pellets made of $38~75\;\mu\textrm{m}$ particles, the critical volume fraction of powders 0.7 was obtained with the pellet density which is 90% of theoretical density while the magnets of $75~150\;\mu\textrm{m}$ showed the density of 87% of the theoretical value with the same volume fraction. The nylon (i magnets with the addition of 0.5 wt. % silicon oil only exhibited the best magnetic properties to have $_{i}H_{c}=8.8\;kOe,\;B_{r}=5.1\;kG$ and $(BH)_{max}=5.2\;MGOe$ which are of world class. An empirical relationship in predicting the magnet density with a known fraction ($V_s$) of loading powders was obtained such as ${\rho}(g/cm^{3})=1.1+K.V_{s}$ where the K ranges over 5.3~5.6 be ing dependent upon the particle size loaded.

  • NdFeB films have been grown onto Si(100) substrate by a KrF pulsed laser ablation of the targets of $Nd_xFe_{90.98-x}B_{9.02}$ (x=17.51~27.51) at the substrate temperature of 620~700 $^{\circ}C$ and the laser beam energy density of 2.75~5.99 J/$\textrm{cm}^2$. The films exhibit no preferred orientation, however, good hard magnetic properties were produced from as-deposited condition : $4{\pi}M_s$=7 kG, $4{\pi}M_r$=4 kG, and $H_c$=300~1000 Oe. The depositon rate was not greatly influenced by changing the substrate temperature, but it increases linearly by increasing the beam energy density. The beam energy density of 3 J/$\textrm{cm}^2$ gave the optimal condition to have the highest $4{\pi}M_r$ and $H_c$ as well. The higher content of Nd induces a higher coercivity and $4{\pi}M_r$ at the same time without prominent change in $4{\pi}M_s$.

Antioxidant Effects of Crotalaria sessiliflora L. Leaf Extracts Fractionated from Each Solvent (활나물 잎 추출물의 분획별 항산화 활성)

  • In this study, Crotalaria sessiliflora L., leaf was extracted with a solvent mixture of $CH_2Cl_2$ and $CH_2OH$ (3:1). In order to draw or separate effective components from the leaf extract with high activity, a 1:1 solvent mixture of water and butanol was used after removal of the sugar and fat from the extract. From the decompressed and concentrated butanol layer, 10 small fractions (Fr1, Fr2, Fr3, Fr4, Fr5, Fr6, Fr7, Fr8, Fr9, and Fr10) were obtained using a chromatography column filled with sephadex LH-20. The activity of each fraction was measured by the same method as that used to measure the antioxidant effect of each part(p<0.05). The Fr1, Fr4, and Fr6 fractions showed the highest activity levels(p<0.05). The vital unknown material that vitality exists in the strong butanol fractions of F1, F4 and F6 will be isolated and identified. Currently, we are performing for a single compound from an unknown peak by instrumental analysis.

High-resolution Seismic Imaging of Shallow Geology Offshore of the Korean Peninsula: Offshore Uljin (신기 지구조운동의 해석을 위한 한반도 근해 천부지질의 고해상 탄성파 탐사: 울진 주변해역)

  • We acquired and interpreted more than 650 km of high-resolution seismic reflection profiles in the Hupo Basin, offshore east coast of Korea at $37^{\circ}N$ in the East Sea (Japan Sea) to image shallow and basement deformation. The seismic profiles reveal that the main depocenter of the Hupo Basin in the study area is bounded by the large offset Hupo Fault on the east and an antithetic fault on the west; however, the antithetic fault is much smaller both in horizontal extension and in vertical displacement than the Hupo Fault. Sediment infill in the Hupo Basin consists of syn-rift (late Oligocene. early Miocene) and post-rift (middle Miocene.Holocene) units. The Hupo Fault and other faults newly defined in the Hupo Basin strike dominantly north and show a sense of normal displacement. Considering that the East Sea has been subjected to compression since the middle Miocene, we interpret that these normal faults were created during continental rifting in late Oligocene to early Miocene times. We suggest that the current ENE direction of maximum principal compressive stress observed in and around the Korean peninsula associated with the motion of the Amurian Plate induces the faults in the Hupo Basin to have reverse and right-lateral, strike-slip motion, when reactivated. A recent earthquake positioned on the Hupo Fault indicates that in the study area and possibly further in the eastern Korean margin, earthquakes would occur on the faults created during continental rifting in the Tertiary.

  • Among the methods for enhancement of load-carrying capacity on flexural concrete member, recently, a concept is being investigated which replaces the steel in a conventional reinforced concrete member with a fiber reinforced polymer(FRP) shell. This study focuses on modeling of the structural behavior of concrete surrounded with FRP shells in flexural bending members. A numerical model of fiber cross-sectional analysis is proposed to predict the stress and deformation state of the FRP shell and concrete. The stress-strain relationship of concrete confined by a FRP shell is formulated to be based on the constitutive law of concrete in multi-axial compressive stress state, in assuming that the compression response is dependent on the radial expansion of the concrete. To describe the FRP shell behavior, equivalent orthotropic properties of in-plane behavior from classical lamination theory are used. The present model is validated to compare with the experiments of 4-point bending tests of FRP shell concrete beam, and has well predicted the moment-curvature relationships of the members, axial and hoop strains in the section, and the enhancement of confinement effect in concrete surrounded by FRP shell.

Influence of Ionic Liquid for Separation of D-tryptophan and N-CBZ-D-phenylalanine (D-tryptophan과 N-CBZ-D-phenylalanine의 분리에서 이온성 액체의 영향)

  • D-tryptophan and N-CBZ-D-phenylalanine were separated using ionic liquid as additives for the mobile phase in high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The ionic liquid of 1-butyl-3- methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (${[BMIm]}^+{[BF_4]}^-$) was used. Mobile phases were 65%, 70%, and 80% methanol in water with addition of different concentrations (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 4.0, 6.0, 8.0, 10.0, 12.0, and 15.0 mmol/L) of the ionic liquid. The experiments were performed on stainless steel column, $3.9{\times}300mm$ i.d., packed with $15{\mu}m$ octadecyl-bonded silica gel at laboratory.The retention factor of D-tryptophan was not negligibly changed while that of N-CBZ-D-phenylalanine was decreased. The resolution between the two components were affected by the contents of methanol and ionic liquid in the mobile phase. With the small content of methanol and the high concentration of ionic liquid, the resolution was improved.
