A Theoretical Evaluation of the Effect of Refrigerant Charge on the Performance of Vapor-Compression Air-Conditioning System (증기압축식 에어컨의 냉매 충전량에 따른 성능 예측)

  • A theoretical model for the transient performance of vapor-compression air-conditioning system has been developed to evaluate the influence of the refrigerant charge on the system performance. A set of mass and energy equations for the simulation of the heat exchangers and the capillary tube and a polytropic compression model for the compressor are used. The present model successfully predicts the transient behavior of the vapor-compression air-conditioner from the startup. As the refrigerant charge is increased, both the evaporating and condensing pressures increase gradually, and the cooling rate and the COP show a maximum in the range of 0.75-0.8 kg of refrigerant charge. This amount of refrigerant mass is determined to be the optimum charge of the model system. Also, the effect of outdoor air temperature on the optimum refrigerant charge is discussed.

3차원 전극을 이용한 염료의 색 제거

  • 2차원 전극의 RhB 분해 성능은 Pt(+)-Pt(-) > Pt(+)-Sus(-) > Sus(+)-Sus(-) 전극의 순으로 나타났다. 3차원 전극은 Pt-ACF-Pt 전극만 2차원 전극보다 초기 반응속도가 낮고 최종 RhB농도가 높은 것으로 나타났으나 다른 전극은 충전물 종류에 관계 없이 2차원 전극보다 초기 반응속도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 음극의 종류에 관계없이 3차원 전극의 충전물에 따른 RhB 분해는 GAC > Nonwoven fabric fiber > ACF로 나타났다. GAC 충전량이 50 g 이상에서 RhB 분해속도는 거의 유사한 것으로 나타났으나 전력을 고려한 단위 W당 시간당 RhB 농도 감소를 나타내었다. 그림에서 보듯이 최적 GAC 충전량은 50 g로 사료되었다. 최적 전류는 2.5 A로 사료되었다.

  • The automobile air conditioning system generally consists of laminated type evaporator, swash plate type compressor, condenser, expansion valve and receiver drier. A swash plate type compressor has been used widely in automobile air conditioning system since 1955, because of wider operation range and better durability than other type compressors. In this study, the performance of an swash plate type compressor with variations of oil charging conditions has been investigated experimentally using the hot gas system. Further, the effects of varying compressor speed on the performance of the compressor has been discussed.

  • Constant area expansion devices such as capillary tubes, short tube orifices are being gradually replaced with electronic expansion valves (EEVs) because of increasing focus on comfort and energy conservation. In this study, the performance of a water-to-water heat pump as a function of refrigerant charge is investigated in steady state, cooling mode operation with expansion devices of a capillary tube and an EEV. The performance of the capillary tube system varies drastically according to the change of refrigerant charge amount and inlet temperature of the secondary fluid in the condenser. Cooling capacity and COP of the EEV system show little dependence on the refrigerant charge, while those are strongly dependent on the secondary fluid temperature at the condenser inlet. In general, for a wide range of operating conditions the EEV system shows much higher performance as compared with the capillary tube system. The performance of the EEV system can be optimized by adjusting EEV opening to maintain a constant superheat at all test conditions.

  • The initial market of alternative-fuel vehicle (AFV) will show geographically uneven distribution due to AFV's high price, and thus efficient location model should consider spatial variation of demand. This paper estimates AFV trips by incorporating an AFV demand estimation model with origin-destination (OD) trips. The estimates are the input for the flow-refueling location model that maximizes the OD flows that can be refueled by the given number of stations considering AFV's limited range per refueling. A scenario analysis is conducted by varying assumptions in estimating demands and AFV acceptance rate. Optimal location alternatives for Orland metropolitan area are provided and results are compared.

  • 전기자동차에 대한 연구가 진행됨에 따라 동력원으로 사용되는 대용량 리튬-폴리머 배터리의 운용과 관리에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 다중 셀로 구성된 대용량 리튬-폴리머 배터리는 물리적 화학적 특성에 따라 충전시 셀간 전압 격차가 발생하게 된다. 셀간 전압차는 배터리 용량, 수명, 안정성에 부정적 영향을 주게 된다. 기존 연구들은 각 셀의 특성을 고려하지 않고 충전 결과를 바탕으로 동일한 밸런싱 방법을 적용시킴으로 효율성을 떨어트린다. 본 논문에서는 진화 신경망 기반의 지능형 셀 밸런싱 시스템을 제안한다. 배터리의 특성을 진화 신경망을 통해 학습시킴으로 각 셀 충전시 저항의 크기를 결정한다. 이를 통해 각 셀 특성을 고려한 사전 셀 밸런싱을 수행하였다. 제안하는 방법의 유용성을 입증하기 위해 카이스트 온라인 전기자동차에 장착 예정인 배터리 관리 시스템 기반 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 효과적인 셀 밸런싱이 가능함을 보였다.

  • LPG 및 석유류는 온도에 따라서 유량의 변화가 LPG의 경우는 ±0.23%/℃, 무연은 ±0.11%/℃, 등유는 ±0.10%/℃, 경유의 경우는 ±0.09%/℃로 특히 LPG의 경우가 그 변화가 심하므로 정확한 충전량을 계량하는 것이 중요하다. 이는 공정거래 확립의 차원에서 공급자와 소비자 입장에서 반드시 요구되는 사항이다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 LPG 충전기의 충전제어 및 자동 온도 보정의 알고리즘을 개발하고 이를 프로그래밍한 후 온도센서와 16-bit 마이크로프로세서(intel 80C196)로 자동 온도 보정이 가능한 LPG 충전기의 충전제어 시스템을 설계 및 제작하였다. 설계 제작된 시스템은 프로세서부, I/O 입ㆍ출력부, VFD(vacuum fluorescent display) 디스플레이 구동부로 구성된다. 충전제어 동작은 LPG 유량계의 encoder로부터의 유량(유속)신호와 기차 보정값 및 15℃를 기준으로 한 온도 센서부의 온도 보정값을 입력받아 솔레노이드 밸브를 제어하여 충전을 제어하게 된다. 온도 보정은 80C196 프로세서의 내부 10-bit A/D 변환기를 사용하여 0.5℃ 분해능으로 온도제어를 할 수 있다. VFD 디스플레이는 유량, 금액, 단가가 표시되며 그 값을 누적시켜 일계, 월계를 알 수 있게 하였다. 그 외에 시스템 진단기능 및 컴퓨터통신, POS 통신이 가능하도록 하였다. 제작된 시스템을 LPG 충전기에 실장하여 시험한 결과 목표한 정확도로 유량이 제어됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • In this research, we investigated the hydrogen-gas filling characteristics of ultra-light composite tanks that have a plastic or aluminum liner inside the composite shell. The study was performed for different gas and tank temperatures. The temperature changes at various positions in the Type-4 tank during hydrogen-gas filling were monitored in order to understand the effects of the filling conditions. The results were compared with those obtained for a Type-3 tank. As the filling speed was increased, a quicker temperature rise was observed, and the temperature distribution over the entire region showed significant discrepancies.

  • In this study, surface treatment of the elastomeric matrix was investigated to develop a substituting material for steel dynamic damper of automobile. The key technology is to get ultra high density elastomeric compound in order to substitute steel dynamic damper. The optimum matrix material(chloroprene rubber) and filler(metal powder) were selected for this. The several properties of elastomeric compound were examined. According to the results, the $t_{s2}$ of filled elastomeric compound was decreased with increasing the filler loading whereas the $t_{90}$ was increased. Also, tensile strength and rebound resilience were decreased with filler loading. To solve the problem of high filler loading, the photo grafting technique was employed on elastomeric matrix. The degree of grafting was determined by FTIR-ATR. Also, the filler surface was modified by chemical etching and the surface morphology was examine by SEM. After chemical treatment of filler, the particle size analyzer was used to examined the particle size, size distribution, and morphology of the modified filler.

  • The process of charging an oxidizer in the liquid propellant rocket can divide into the cooling of the oxidizer tank, the high flow charge, the small flow charge, and the replenishment charge for the correction of temperature. The oxidizer of the Naro(KSLV-I) first stage uses the liquid oxygen. And the flow rate and the temperature specification corresponding to each charge mode are presented for the requirement. The flow throttling valve and heat exchanger are installed in the oxidizer filling system in order to satisfy this kind of the flow rate and temperature requirement specification. In this research, by using the Flowmaster which is a commercial one-dimension thermo-fluidic analysis program, one dimensional flow system analyses was performed to predict the exact flow rate at each specific mode. Also, the flow rate correction sensitivity of the flow control valves was analytically determined to satisfy the flow condition refinement at each mode within the limited certification test.
