Study of Impact on COMS Fuel Consumption by East-West Station Keeping Maneuver Time Shift to Avoid Conflict with the Observation of Full Disk or Similar Meteorological Images (전구 및 유사 기상영상 관측임무와 충돌을 회피하기 위한 동서방향 위치유지기동의 시간 이동이 천리안위성 연료소모에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • In the COMS satellite mission operation, more large meteorological images such as Full Disk(FD) image or 2 adjacent Extended Northern Hemisphere(ENH) images can be taken by the time shift of East West Station Keeping(EWSK) maneuver when the EWSK conflicts with the large images. In this study an analytical approach based on probability of the conflict is proposed for theoretical analysis about the EWSK time shift to avoid the conflict with FD or 2 ENH images. The EWSK time shift has been applied to the COMS operation as a test, too. The theoretical study result and test operation outcome are synthesized to provide the analysis of impact on the COMS fuel consumption by the EWSK time shift. This study is expected to contribute to the maximization of COMS meteorological mission application.

  • Sophisticated Air Navigation System has contributed to enhancing the capacity of airspace capacity, leading to an efficient airspace environment. However, it has acted as a factor increasing the probability of collision. When an aircraft fails to maintain vertical separation and instead exhibits lateral positional errors, it does not necessarily lead to a collision. However, as the lateral positional accuracy increases, the randomness of aircraft positions decrease, resulting in an elevated probability of collisions. Consequently, The International Civil Aviation Organization has introduced Strategic Lateral Offset Procedures(SLOP), intentionally deviating aircraft from the centerline of airways. Likewise, South Korea also operates Offset procedure. The Y579 was operated using the Offset before its conversion to a dual airway and the analysis of the Offset track revealed that it was being operated similarly to a unidirectional dual airway. This paper develops a safety assessment methodology applicable to unidirectional dual airways, and applies it to perform a safety assessment of the Y579 Offset procedure.

A study on enhanced M-ary QT algorithm using collision bits position in RFID system (RFID 시스템에서 충돌비트 위치를 이용한 M-ary QT 알고리즘 향상에 관한 연구)

  • The most important mission of RFID reader is identify EPC (Electronic Product Code) of RFID tag of products that located within distinguishable range of RFID reader. RFID reader transmits query message to RFID tags through wireless channel and RFID tags send unique EPC to response its query message simultaneously. therefore tag collision occurred frequently. RFID tags collision resolution algorithm required to apply RFID technology to various industries. In this paper, we propose enhanced M-ary algorithm that collision bits location is used by not only RFID reader but also tags. the main feature of the proposed algorithm is that integrate multiple query message of M-ary QT algorithm to the single query message by analyze multiple response messages from tags. the simulation results show that the proposed algorithm give better performance than M-ary QT algorithm in terms of the number of query-response, identification efficiency and communication overhead.

  • For the understanding the locus of the Quinling-Dabie-Sulu continental collision's boundary and the underground structure of the sedimentray basin in the Yellow Sea, three dimensional density modelling is carrid out by using gravity dataset (Free Air Anomaly), which is measured by Tamhae 2, KIGAM in a period 2000 - 2002. The measured gravity anomaly in the investigations area is mainly responsed by depth distribution of the sedimentary basin. After comparing the sea-measured gravity data to CHAMP-GRACE satellite gravity data, I suggested that the high density model bodies extend mainly from the southern part of China to the middle-western part of the Korean Peninsula., which might be emplaced along the continental collision's boundary. The total volume of very low density bodies modified by modelling might be about $20000\;km^3$.

  • In this paper, an efficient dynamic reactive motion planning method for an autonomous vehicle in a dynamic environment is proposed. The purpose of the proposed method is to improve the robustness of autonomous robot motion planning capabilities within dynamic, uncertain environments by integrating a virtual plane-based reactive motion planning technique with a sensor fusion-based obstacle detection approach. The dynamic reactive motion planning method assumes a local observer in the virtual plane, which allows the effective transformation of complex dynamic planning problems into simple stationary ones proving the speed and orientation information between the robot and obstacles. In addition, the sensor fusion-based obstacle detection technique allows the pose estimation of moving obstacles using a Kinect sensor and sonar sensors, thus improving the accuracy and robustness of the reactive motion planning approach. The performance of the proposed method was demonstrated through not only simulation studies but also field experiments using multiple moving obstacles in hostile dynamic environments.

Anti-Collision Algorithm for Fast Tag Identification in RFID Systems (RFID 시스템에서 고속 태그 식별을 위한 충돌방지 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, a QT_ecfi algorithm is proposed for identifying all the tags within the identification range. The proposed QT_ecfi algorithm revises the QT algorithm, which has a memoryless property. In the QT_ecfi algorithm, the tag will send the remaining bits of their identification codes when the query string matches the first bits of their identification codes. When the reader receives all the responses of the tags, it knows which bit is collided. If the collision occurs in the last bit, the reader can identify two tags simultaneously without further query. While the tags are sending their identification codes, if the reader detects a collision bit, it will send a signal to the tags to stop sending. According to the simulation results, the QT_ecfi algorithm outperforms the QT algorithm in terms of the number of queries and the number of response bits.

  • Collisions of nearby ships are reported frequently because of bad weathers. A lot of efforts, using radar warning or other navigation security devices, were given to reduce the collisions, but the number of accidents could not be reduced. The main cause is that the ship personel are not watching carefully. In the paper, we propose a novel technique estimating the locations of nearby ships from their whistle blast and delivering the location information using mobile phones. We realized the technique using LabVIEW and showed its usefulness.

  • 이 논문에서는 pq개의 PE(Processing Element)를 가진 SIMD처리기에서 기억 장치 접근시간을 감소시키기 위한 충돌회피 기억장치를 제안했다. 이 기억장치는 MxN 배열내 자료들의 임의의 위치에서 일정 간격인 블록형태와 8방향 선형태인 pd개의 자료들의 동시 접근을 지원한다. 기억모듈 수는 pq보다 큰 소수이고, 간격은 기억모듈 수의 배수가 아닌 양수이다. 간단하고 빠른 주소계산회로와 이동회로를 위해, 요구된 자료들에서 첫번째 자료의 기준 주소와 pq개의 주소간의 차들로 구분한 후, 주소간의 차들은 첫번째 자료 요소의 기억모듈번호로부터 번호에 따라 오름차순 정렬되고 빠른 기억모듈에 저장된다. 그래서 m개의 주소간의 차이들에 첫번째 자료의 기준주소 더해진 후, 첫 번째 요소의 기억모듈 번호에 의한 오른쪽 회전이 간격을 가진 9가지 서브어레이 모두이게 요구된다. 9가지 자료 이동 형태를 멀티플렉싱과 회전에 의해 1가지로 감소시킨 효율적인 자료 이동 회로를 제안하였다. 제안된 충돌회피기억 장치는 이전기억 장치와 비교하여 자료 접근형태, 간격, 자료 배열의 크기에 제한, 하드웨어 비용, 속도, 복잡도면에서 개선하였다.

  • 하인리히 법칙에 따르면, 하나의 대형사고는 다수의 경미한 사고나 수많은 근접한 위험상황이 발생한 위치에서 발생할 확률이 높다. 해상교통상황에서도 양 선박이 충돌 위험이 있는 상황, 즉 근접사고 상황은 해상교통관련 대형 사고를 예방하는 관점에서 중요하다. 하지만, 아직까지 이러한 근접사고 자료는 VTS데이터 접근에 어려움, 관련 전문 기법 부족 등으로 수집 분석하는데 어려움이 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 해상교통 근접사고를 조우하는 선박간에 시공간적으로 충돌에 근접한 상황들이 발생하여 충돌의 위험이 일정한 값 이상으로 높아진 상황으로 정의하고, 2013년도 완도VTS 관제해역 해상교통 항적데이터를 적용하여 근접사고 통계를 분석하였다.

해상교량관련 해양사고 조사 ${\cdot}$ 분석에 관한 연구

  • 현재 세계 각지에는 선박이 통항하는 항행수역에 해상교량이 건설되고 있다. 이와 동반하여 선박이 해상교량에 충돌하는 사고가 발생하고 있다. 우리나라에서도 2009년 인천 제2연육교의 완성과 더불어 선박이 통항하는 항행수역에 해상교량이 건설되는 경우가 많아지고 있다. 이러한 해역에 건설된 해상교량은 선박의 항행수역에 건설되기 때문에 타와 주기관의 고장 등으로 선박이 해상 교량에 충돌할 가능성이 있다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 충돌사고 예방을 위하여 외국 및 우리나라의 해상교량과 관련한 해양사고 발생 현황 및 원인에 대하여 조사하고자 한다.
