GPU-based Image-space Collision Detection among Closed Objects (GPU를 이용한 이미지 공간 충돌 검사 기법)

  • This paper presents an image-space algorithm to real-time collision detection, which is run completely by GPU. For a single object or for multiple objects with no collision, the front and back faces appear alternately along the view direction. However, such alternation is violated when objects collide. Based on these observations, the algorithm propose the depth peeling method which renders the minimal surface of objects, not whole surface, to find colliding. The Depth peeling method utilizes the state-of-the-art functionalities of GPU such as framebuffer object, vertexbuffer object, and occlusion query. Combining these functions, multi-pass rendering and context switch can be done with low overhead. Therefore proposed approach has less rendering times and rendering overhead than previous image-space collision detection. The algorithm can handle deformable objects and complex objects, and its precision is governed by the resolution of the render-target-texture. The experimental results show the feasibility of GPU-based collision detection and its performance gain in real-time applications such as 3D games.

  • 본 연구에서는 제트 추진 기관의 터빈 익렬에서의 유동과 대기 중에 부유되어 있는 입자 또는 연소 생성물들이 제트엔진 내부로 유입될 경우 이에 따른 압축기 및 터빈 날개의 마모 및 충돌 부위를 예측하기 위하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 일반적으로 각종 항공기의 추진 기관용 가스 터빈 엔진은 대기중에 부유되어 있는 각종 입자들의 영향을 받게 된다. 특히, 확산 지역을 통과하는 항공기나 먼지 입자 부유물이 많은 공업지대 또는 사막지역을 비행하는 항공기의 경우는 모래 알갱이, 먼지 및 연소 입자의 직접적인 영향을 받아 각 요소들에 심각한 부식 및 마모가 발생됨으로써 성능 저하 및 냉각 통로의 막힘, 압축기와 터빈 날개의 손상 등이 예측되어진다. 특히 항공기용 추진 기관은 엔진 입구에 유입 공기를 정화하기 위한 여과장치의 설치가 불가능하며, 자동차용 가스터빈 엔진의 경우는 여과 장치를 부착하여도 미세한 입자들이 여과 장치에 여과되지 않고 엔진 내부로 침투하게 되므로 치명적인 손상이 예상된다. 이러한 손상들은 초기에는 미세하게 발생하지만, 손상 정도가 점점 누적됨에 따라서 항공기의 안전 운전에 심각한 위험 요소로서 작용할 수 있으며, 경제적으로도 기관의 유지 보수비용의 증가를 가져올 수 있다. 따라서 압축기에 화산재 또는 대기중에 부유되어 있는 금속 입자나 먼지입자 등이 유입되었을 경우, 압축기 날개의 손상 부위와 정도를 예측하는 것이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 Lagangian방법을 적용하여 압축기 날개위의 부유 입자 충돌 부위를 예측하고, 설계 시 이를 보완할 수 있는 기준을 제시하였다. 아울러 설계 입구각과 크게 벗어난 유동의 유입시에 발생되는 박리 현상과 이에 따른 입자의 유동 및 날개의 입자 접착 부위를 예측하였다. 본 연구에서는 여러 크기의 입자(다양한 Stokes 수)들을 주어진 속도에서 유선을 따라 압축기 입구에서 압축기 유로로 여러 위치에서 부유 시켜서 그 입자들의 궤적 및 충돌, 점착 위지를 고찰하고, 정량적인 충돌량을 해석하기 위하여 입자 충돌 계수를 정의하여 압축기 날개 표면의 충돌특성을 알아보았다. 이러한 예측을 통하여 압축기 날개 표면의 충돌 부위를 예측하고, 날개의 표면을 코팅하는 등 보호 개선책을 제시할 수 있고, 연소의 반응물 입자가 터빈 날개에 충돌하여 발생되는 날개 표면의 파손, 냉각 홀의 막임, 연소 입자의 점착 부위 등을 예측하여 보완책을 준비할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • Present study investigated the crash phenomenon between freedom of press and pseudo press. For that researcher gathered online witch hunt cases from 2012 to 2017 and interpret with the logical basis of argument which needs to control pseudo press activity. On the other hand, present research arranged former studies about freedom of press and right of reputation and privacy as a counterpart that can be ethical debate. Futhermore, court case about right of small independent media where has less than 5 people also gathered. By Comparison of each ethical and legal basis, this study provide the insight which can inspire to think about real right of citizen and press.

마그네트론 스퍼터링의 전산모사

  • Sputtering은 박막의 품질(부착력, 밀도, 균일도등)이 우수하고 대면적 증착이 용이하여 반도체, 디스플레이, MEMS기술등과 같은 첨단산업에서 널리 이용되고 있는 증착방법이다. 일반적인 평판형 스퍼터건은 전계와 자계가 직교하는 Target의 일부영역에서만 스퍼터링 현상이 발생하게 되어 증착물질의 사용효율이 20~30% 정도로 좋지 못하고 스퍼터링 되지않는 부분에서는 재증착 현상에 의한 파티클 발생을 유발하여 Substrate에 손상을 입혀 박막의 질을 떨어뜨리게 된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점들의 물리적 현상의 진단 및 최적화를 위해 Particle-In-Cell (PIC)시뮬레이션을 이용하여 그 특성들을 알아보았다. 인가전압, 압력, 증착물질과 기판사이의 거리를 변화시켜 자기장이 포함된 Paschen curve를 그렸다. 전기장만이 포함된 시스템에서의 Paschen curve는 이미 공식으로 알려져 있으며 마그네트론 스퍼터링의 시스템에서 Paschen curve와 비교하여 보다 낮은 압력에서 플라즈마가 형성할 수 있는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 Target에 충돌하는 아르곤이온의 양, 에너지 분포, 각도의 분포 등을 관찰하였는데, 대부분의 아르곤이온은 압력이 증가할수록 에너지가 큰 경향성을 가지며 입사각도는 Target에 보다 수직으로 충돌하는 경향을 볼 수 있었다. 증착물질과 기판사이의 거리의 변화에 대해서는 이온 특성의 변화는 없었다.

Throughput Performance of Slotted ALOHA Communication System with Guard Time and Capture Effect (신호점유 현상과 보호시간을 고려한 슬롯형 알로아 통신 시스템의 성능분석)

  • In a bursty user traffic mode, ALOHA random multiple access protocol achieves higher performance than any conventional fixed assignment technique. One of central problems in slotted ALOHA is synchronization. Because of the long propagation delay in satellite mobile communication, packet may be spilt over into adjacent slots and thus guard time may be included between packet intervals. In conventional ALOHA channels, simultaneous transmission by two or more users results in a collision : the unsuccessful packets have to be retransmitted according to some retransmission algorithm. However, in a radio environment, users are often at different distances from the receiver : therefore, their received signals have substantially different power levels. The packet arriving with the highest energy now has a good chance of being detected accurately. Similarly, in some spread-spectrum random access systems, the earliest arriving packet dominates later arriving packets and thus captures the channel. In this paper slotted ALOHA channel with non zero guard time and capture probability is studied. Using the Markovian model, the performance of slotted ALOHA with guard time and capture effects is derived and compared with that of the conventional ALOHA via numerical analysis.

  • In this work, we consider the effect of the presheath on the ion angular distribution. The recent shows the ion-neutral collision in the presheath and the calculated energy flux with the ion angular distribution at the presheath edge in plasma reactor. We also propose a new approximation analytical model for the ion angular distribution and the energy flux distribution with ion temperature. The ion passing the presheath region, Shows a ion scattering effect without ion-neutral collisions. This because the kinetic energy by the ambipolar diffusion field is changed by the gas collision,. Using the proposed approximation analytical model, we show the simulated results of a deposit profile on variable trench shape.

Study on the Prediction of Lateral and Yawing Behaviors of a Leading Vehicle in a Train Collision (철도차량 충돌 시 선두차량의 횡 및 요잉 거동 예측 연구)

  • In this study, we derived theoretical equations for the zigzag movement of a leading vehicle, which is the most frequent behavior in train accidents, by using a simplified spring-mass model for the rolling stock. In order to solve the equations of motion, we applied the Runge-Kutta method, which is the typical numerical analysis method used for differential equations. Furthermore, the lateral displacement of the wheel-set at the wheel-rail interface was estimated using kinetic energy. In order to verify the derived equations, we compared the theoretical and simulated results under various collision conditions. The maximum relative deviations of the lateral displacements were 0.8 [%] ~ 4.7 [%] in light collisions and 0.6 [%] ~ 5.1 [%] under derailment conditions. When an accident is simulated, these theoretical equations can be used to predict the overall behavior and obtain the offset of the body-to-body link as the initial perturbation.

  • IEEE 802.11 wireless network supports control frames like RTS/CTS(Request To Send / Clear To Send). Because they is defend to frame collection problems. It helps to solve the frame collection problem but decreases the throughput rate. Also, control frame makes False Node Problem. This problem is makes to other wireless nodes don't work and don't find channels in the same cell and near cells. We proposed a reformed new control frame for efficiency throughput rate and solution of False Node Problem. New control frame is to have added to 4 bytes of channel detection ability at the RTS frames. Channel detection ability supported to check channel at the wireless node start to transmit data frame, We expect that channel detection ability make prevent False Node Problem for increase to access number to channel. We perform comparative analysis in terms of delay(sec) and load(bits/sec) with reform RTS/CTS method which proves the efficiency of the proposed method.

  • When an absolute elastic collision occurs between a motion body and the another body inside a closed space, according to the current physical law and thus a computer graphical expression, it is defined that the center of mass of the closed space is not moved. This paper defines a physical law which includes a minor facts of the center of mass of a closed space moves during an absolute elastic collision occurs between a motion body and another body inside a closed space. The law defined in this paper has been verified using approximate lab equipments, and using this, graphical expression models and mathematical expressions for an absolute elastic collision between two bodies inside a closed space are del ed. When the minor effects of the center of mass moves is applied to the multi-body dynamic simulation program or haptic program, more accurate motion could be expressed. This definition can also be applied to an animation movie or other graphical motion expression for more realistic expression.

An Experimental Study on the Mixing Flow Structure of Turbulent Cross Flow with Respect to the Ratio of Mass Flow Rate (난류충돌유동의 질량유량비에 따른 혼합유동구조에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the flow structure and mixing process of a cross mixing flow formed by two round jets with respect to the ratio of mass flow rate. This flow configuration is of great practical relevance in a variety of combustion systems, and the flow behaviour of a cross jet defends critically on the ratio of mass flow rate and the cross angle. The mass flow rate ratios of two different jets were controlled as 1.0, 0.8, 0.6, and 0.4, and the crossing angle of two round jets was fixed at 45 degree. The velocities issuing from jet nozzle with an exit diameter of 20mm were adjusted to 40m/s, 32m/s, 24m/s, and 16m/s, and the measurements have been conducted in the streamwise range of $1.1X_0$to $2.5X_0$ by an on-line measurement system consisted of a constant temperature type two channel hot-wire anemometry connected to a computer analyzing system. The original air flow was generated by a subsonic wind tunnel with reliable stabilities and uniform flows in the test section. For the analysis of the cross mixing flow structure in the downstream region after the cross point, the mean velocity profiles, the resultant velocity contours, and the three-dimensional profiles depending upon the mass flow rate ratio have been concentrately studied.
