A Study on the Vibration and Acoustic Radiation from an Elastic Free- Free Beam due to a Steel Ball Impact (강구의 충돌에 의한 양단자유 보의 진동 및 음향 방사에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, vibrations and resulting acoustic radiations from an elastic beam impacted by a steel ball were studied theoretically and experimentally. First the transverse vibrations of free-free elastic beams are analysed with modal analysis technique. The impact forces are modeled with the Hertz's theory and the contanct duration is compared with the measured values. Also the calculated beam vibrations are verified with the experimental results. Then the acoustic radiations due to the beam vibration are studied numberically and experimentally. The acousticpressure is calculated assuming the beam has an elliptical cross-section. The predicted acoustic pressure is compared with the measured value. It was found that both the predicted beamvibrations using the Hertz's theory and the estimated acoustic pressure under the assumption of an elliptical cross- section are in very good agreements with the measured values.

Behavior Analysis of Fill Slope by Vehicle Collision on Guardrail (가드레일에 차량 충돌 시 성토사면의 거동분석)

  • Recently, the number of road construction is increasing by industrial development. According to this industrial tendency, the number of traffic accidents are consistently increasing due to increasing number of vehicle on the road. This is mainly because traffic accidents are occurred by various parameter such as negligence of driver, vehicle defects, state of unstable road, natural environment etc. Lane department of vehicles from guardrail is occurring frequently. This type of accident is caused by vehicle performance improvement and shape of vehicle, weak guardrail installation and maintenance. Guardrail has the purpose on prevention such as prevention of traffic accident and prevention of deviating out of road, minimizing damage of driver and vehicle by collision as well as entry into the road through guardrail. Stability evaluation test of guardrail verifies the behavior of guardrail through the crash of truck. At this time, the crash condition has 100 km/h of velocity and $15^{\circ}$ of impact angle. In the case of ground condition, filling slope condition has relatively high bearing capacity of infinite ground towards the test. Guardrail is generally installed on road of shoulder in fill slope in korea. It is possible for stability problem to deteriorate ground bearing capacity in Guardrail in fill slope. The existed study towards stability of guardrail has been carried out in the infinite ground. However, the study on the behavior of fill slope with guardrail is not performed by vehicle collision. Therefore, In this study, the numerical analysis using LS-DYNA was executed for verification on behavior of fill slope with guardrail through vehicle collision. This numerical analysis was carried out with change of embedded depth on installed guardrail post in shoulder of fill slope by vehicle collision and 8 tonf truck crash providing at NCAN (National Crash Analysis Center). As the result, displacement and stress on fill slope are decreased in accordance with the increase of embedded depth of guardrail post. Ground bearing capacity is deteriorated at depth of 450 mm form shoulder of road on fill slope.

Geochronological and Geochemical Studies for Triassic Plutons from the Wolhyeonri Complex in the Hongseong Area, Korea (홍성지역 월현리 복합체 내에 분포하는 트라이아스기 심성암류의 지질연대학 및 지구화학적 연구)

  • The Hongseong area of the southwestern Gyeonggi massif is considered to be part of suture zone that is tectonically correlated with the Qinling-Dabie-Sulu belt of China in terms of the preservation of collisional evidences during Triassic in age. The Wolhyeonri complex, preserved at the center of the Hongseong area, consists mainly of Neoproterozoic orthogneisses and Middle Paleozoic intermediate- to high-grade metamorphic schists, orthogneisses and mafic metavolcanics. The area includes various Middle to Late Triassic intrusives (e.g. dyke or stock). They are mainly monzonite and aplite with small intrusions of monzodiorit, syenite and diorite in composition. The SHRIMP U-Pb zircon ages yield 237 Ma to 222 Ma. The geochemistry of the studied Triassic intrusives show similar subuction- or arc-type signatures having Ta-Nb troughs, depletion of P and Ti, and enrichment of LILEs (large ion lithophile elements). In addition, the Triassic plutons in the Hongseong area, including those from this study, mostly possess high-K calc-alkaline to shoshonitic tectonic affinity. These results could be tectonically correlated to the post-collisional magmatic event following the Triassic collision between the North and South China blocks in China. Therefore, the Triassic plutons in the Hongseong area offer an important insight into the Triassic geodynamic history of the NE Asian region.

  • It is well known that the hydrodynamic interaction forces between ship and bank wall affect ship manoeuvring motion. This paper deals with the interaction effect acting on a ship navigating closely in the proximity of bank wail. In this paper, the calculation method based on the slender body theory for estimation of the hydrodynamic interaction forces between ship and bank wail is applied. The hydrodynamic interaction forces acting on a ship during passing through the proximity of the bank wail are predicted to evaluate an influence of these interaction forces on ship manoeuvrability. The calculation method used in this paper will be useful for prediction of ship manoeuvrability at the initial stage of design, for automatic control system of ship in confined waterways, for discussion of marine traffic control system and for construction of harbour.

  • 기계 구조물의 과도한 진동은 기계의 성능 및 수명에 나쁜 영향을 미치며 기계및 부품의 파괴까지 유발하게 되는 원인이되므로 이를 제진하기위한 각종 방법이 오래전부터 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재까지 진행된 충격식 댐퍼의 이론을 기초로 한 사이클당 두번의 충돌이일어난다는 가정하에, 파라메타 의 변화에따른 최적 감쇠특성을 얻기위한 최적간극과 최적 질량비를 쉽게구할 수 있는 식을 유도하였다. 그리고, 실험에 의하여 공진상태에 있어서 불의 충격력에 의한 감쇠특성을 조사하였고, 이론으로구한 식과 비교 검토함으로서, 실제 현장등에서 간편하게 근사식을 이용하여 최적조건을 구하고, 이 자료를 기초로하여 설계, 제작시 보다 간편하게 사용할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • cyclone은 원심력을 이용하여 입자를 포집하는 집진장치로 간단한 구조 때문에 입자의 전처리 장치로 많이 사용되어 왔다. 그러나 미세 입자의 제어가 어렵고, 포집 효율의 증가를 위해 유량을 증가시킬 경우 유랑의 증가에 의한 압력손실과 에너지의 손실이 증가하며, 유량을 감소시킬 경우 입자의 포집 효율이 급격히 감소하는 점 등의 단점이 있다. 따라서, 미세 입자에 대한 포집 효율을 증가시키기 위해 싸이클론의 구조 및 형채를 변화시키는 많은 연구가 수행된 바 있다(Lim et al., 2001; Lim et al., 2003). 본 연구에서는 granule에 의한 관성충돌 효과를 이용하여, 일반적인 cyclone의 설계를 목적으로 하였다.   • 항로표지는 선박의 안전한 통항로 확보를 위한 필수적인 항해 보조시설이며, 세계 주요 5대 항만에 포함되는 부산항은 2006부터 입 출항 항로표의 정확한 법선 표시를 위해 스파부이(LSP-28)를 설치 운영중에 있으나 매년 선박 충돌 및 자연 유실로 2~3기의 유실사고가 발생하고 있다. 항로표지의 국제적 신뢰성 확보 및 관리 효율성을 강화하기 위하여 원인 분석과 기능 개선방안을 모색하였다.

  • The existence of different thermodynamic properties results in various undesirable effects, such as thermal deformation and residual stress, in heat-welding processes. The solid-state junction, by using explosive or electromagnetic forces, i.e., high-velocity impact welding without employing heat is advantageous in joining materials with different thermodynamic properties. In the solid-state junction, the joining is performed within a short time, a high velocity and large deformations are accompanied by interfacial surfaces. The numerical analysis models play an important role in the understanding of the mechanism of high-velocity impact welding. However, in the analysis of high velocity and large deformations, the conventional Lagrangian method has low reliability due to the occurrence of entanglements. In this study, high-velocity impact welding between Cu and CP-Ti with different thermodynamic properties was performed using a un-gridded numerical method, SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics), and interfacial morphology occurred. As a result of the analysis, the interfacial morphology was confirmed and the compared degree of shape (straight, vortex), period, length, and so on appeared differently depending on the relationship between the parameters (impact angle and speed).

  • This paper presents a study on the analysis of impact responses taking into account sensor dynamics. The contact force between impacting bodies is modelled by using Hertz force-displacement law and linear damping function. Since the real impact force and acceleration at the contact surface of two colliding bodies are measured indirectly by the sensors, the measured outputs can be a little different from the real impact responses. Therefore, in this study, the importance of consideration of sensor dynamics in the impact problems of two colliding bodies is emphasized. In order to verify the appropriateness of the proposed contact force model, the drop type impact test using two kinds of sensors is carried out. Through the numerical analysis and experiment, the effect of sensor dynamics and characteristics on the contact force model is investigated.

  • 박막 제작공정은 반도체 제작 공정, 고정밀도의 하드디스크 및 레이저 디스크 기술, LCD/P에 DML평판 디스크 플레이어 제작 공정에 있어 중요한 기술이다. 더욱이, 이 공정은 이동 전화 커버의 증착 및 전자 차폐의 일반기술, 램프의 반사판, 화장품 용기, 몇몇 상품에 있어 카메라 렌즈의 광학 표면 코팅과 코팅 필름 제작에 사용된다. 본 연구의 주요목적은 반도체 제작 공정과 많은 산업 분야에서 기본 재료로 사용되는 전영저항의 개발에 있다. 개발 공정은 다음과 같다. 전자빔이 최상의 진공 분위기에서 텅스텐 필라멘트의 열에 의해 방출된다. 그때 전자는 높은 전압에서 가속화된다. 전자들은 반대 재료에 충돌되고, 반대편 재료는 발생 열에 의해 코팅된다. 1차년도 연구목적은 고성능 전열 저항체 개발을 위한 지름 당 필라멘트 선의 기계적 특성을 조사하고 CAE 해석을 수행하며, 2차 년도에는 대량 생산 라인 구축을 위한 자동검사 라인 개발에 초점이 맞추어져 있다. 만일, 본 연구를 통해 전열 저항체가 개발된다면, 그 제품은 고효율, 외국제품 대비 가격 경쟁력을 가지므로 제품 경쟁력을 가질 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
