  • The deep learning process currently utilized in various fields consists of data preparation, data preprocessing, model generation, model learning, and model evaluation. In the process of model learning, the loss function compares the value of the model with the actual value and outputs the difference. In this paper, we analyze various loss functions used in the deep learning model for biomarker extraction, which measure the degree of loss of neural network output values, and try to find the best loss function through experiments.

  • 이 논문은 눈의 형태에 대한 정보를 이용하여 눈동자를 효과적으로 찾는 방법과 얼굴 특성을 반영하는 평가함수를 이용하여 눈동자, 입의 위치와 같은 얼굴 특징들을 인식하는 방법을 제안하였다. 색 정보를 이용하여 입술과 얼굴 영역을 추출하고 눈동자와 흰자위간의 명도 차를 이용하는 함수를 사용하여 눈동자를 인식하였다. 마지막으로 얼굴 특성을 반영하느 평가함수를 정의하고 이를 이용하여 최종적인 얼굴과 눈, 입을 인식하였다. 제안한 방법을 사용하여 여러 영상들에 대해 실험하여 좋은 결과를 얻었다.

  • 영상분할이란 영상 내에 존재하는 객체를 배경에서 분리해내는 것을 말한다. Active Contour 모델은 객체를 영상에서 분리하는 gradient 기반의 영상분할 방식이다. 전통적인 의미의 Active Contour 모델에서 사용한 gradient 함수 기반의 영상분할은 잡영이 많고 객체와 배경간 뚜렷한 경계가 없는 영상에서는 그 한계를 보이고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 Active Contour 모델의 단점을 극복하기 위한 방법으로 영상 내의 진화곡선에 의존하는 에너지 함수인 Mumford-Shah Functional을 이용한 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 영상 내의 Active Contour를 진화시켜 Mumford-Shah 함수의 에너지를 최소화시키는 Level Set 함수를 찾고 Level Set 함수에 의해 얻어진 부분영상에서 히스토그램을 이용한 임계치(thresholding) 방식을 사용하는 보다 효과적인 객체추출 모델이다.

  • Adaptive Rejection Sampling (ARS) method is a well-known random number generator to acquire a random sample from a probability distribution, and has the advantage of improving the proposal distribution during the sampling procedures, which update it closer to the target distribution. However, the use of ARS is limited since it can be used only for the target distribution in the form of the log-concave function, and thus various methods have been proposed to overcome such a limitation of ARS. In this paper, we attempt to compare five random number generators based on ARS in terms of adequacy and efficiency. Based on empirical analysis using simulations, we discuss their results and make a comparison of five ARS-based methods.

  • In this paper, we used the color transfer function and the opacity transfer function for the internal 3D object visualization of an image volume data. In transfer function, creating values of between boundaries generally is ambiguous. We concentrated to extract boundary features for segmenting the visual volume rendering objects. Consequently we extracted an image gradient feature in spatial domain and created a multi-dimensional transfer function according to the GPU efficient improvement. Finally using these functions we obtained a good research result as an implementing object boundary visualization of the graphic hardware based 3D texture mapping.

  • To analyze and defend malware codes, reverse engineering is used as identify function location information. However, the stripped binary is not easy to find information such as function location because function symbol information is removed. To solve this problem, there are various binary analysis tools such as BAP and BitBlaze IDA Pro, but they are based on heuristics method, so they do not perform well in general. In this paper, we propose a technique to extract function information using LSTM-based models by applying algorithms of N-byte method that is extracted binaries corresponding to reverse assembling instruments in a recursive descent method. Through experiments, the proposed techniques were superior to the existing techniques in terms of time and accuracy.

Soil Water Characteristic Curve Using Volumetric Pressure Plate Extractor Incorporated with TDR System (TDR 측정시스템이 도입된 압력판 추출 시험기를 이용한 흙-함수특성곡선 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to measure the volumetric water content of unsaturated soils during drying and wetting process by using volumetric pressure plate extractor (VPPE) incorporated with time domain reflectometry (TDR). The VPPE consists of a pressure cell, a pressure regulator, a burette system and a TDR probe. Two samples with different initial void ratios were prepared in the pressure cell, and the air pressure at the range of 0.1 kPa - 50 kPa was applied to adjust the matric suction by the pressure regulator. The burette system was used to measure the volumetric water content change of the sample according to the matric suction. In addition, the TDR probe, installed in the cell, was used to evaluate the dielectric constant from the reflected signal of the electromagnetic wave at the probe. The volumetric water content of specimen was estimated by the empirical equation between the volumetric water content and dielectric constant, which was calibrated with the Jumunjin sand. The test results show that the volumetric water content calculated by TDR probe is strongly correlated to the measured value by burette system. The hysteresis occurs during drying and wetting process. Furthermore, the degree of hysteresis reduces in the repeated process. This study suggests that TDR may be effectively used to evaluate the water content soil for the determination of water characteristic curve of unsaturated soils.

  • H.263의 시험모델인 TMN5를 최대한 적용하여 실험하였으며 분산, 엔트로피, 움직임 크기 등의 퍼지변수를 데이터 영역에서 추출하여 퍼지화하였다. 소속함수를 계산하기 위해 최소값으로 가장 분명한 퍼지값을 추출하였으며 퍼지집합을 위해서는 각 소속함수로부터의 요소를 더하는 의미에서 최대값을 선택하였다. 무게중심기법을 이용하여 최종 퍼지감도를 구하여 TMN5에 부가하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 외향 기반 접근법을 기반으로 한 로봇의 위치 추정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 로봇이 작업을 수행할 공간에서 강한 상관관계를 갖는 영상들을 취득하여 eigenspace로 투영 시킴으로써 주성분의 추출을 수행한다. 이 추출된 주성분은 신경 회로망을 이용해 eigenspace에서의 연속 외향 함수(continuous appearance function)로 나타낼 수 있다. 로봇의 위치 추정을 위해 새로운 영상이 주어지면 이것을 eigenspace로 투영 시킨 후 연속 외향 함수를 통해 로봇의 현재 위치를 추정한다. 최종적으로는, 영상안의 데이터에 칼만 필터를 적용함으로써 로봇의 정확한 위치와 영상으로 획득된 정보 사이의 오차를 이용하여 보다 정확한 이동 로봇의 위치를 추정하는 알고리즘을 제안한다.

A Study on the Acquisition Technique of Water Retention Characteristics Based on the Evaporation Method and the Chilled Mirror Method for Unsaturated Soils (증발법과 냉각거울법에 의한 불포화토의 함수특성 획득기법 연구)

  • In order to acquire hydraulic characteristics for unsaturated layers, water retention tests were performed and compared by using the evaporation method, volumetric pressure plate extractor (VPPE) and chilled-mirror dew point method. The evaporation and chilled-mirror method are currently developed experimental technology and measure the water retention curve of unsaturated soils quickly and accurately. In the evaporation and VPPE method, the water retention has been measured and compared until 100kPa matric suction and consequently the result of the evaporation method could be verified. In the chilled-mirror method, the water retention has been measured until high level of matric suction and the overall shape of water retention curves could be obtained. As a result of water retention tests, the representative water retention curves were obtained and the applicability of each test method was discussed. Using both the evaporation and chilled-mirror methods, the soil water retention curve can be acquired reasonably for the whole range of matric suction.
