We experienced a patient(53-year-old female) with knee joint effusion, pain and stiffness who had not responded to steroid injection therapy, significantly improved by bee venom acupuncture in clinical symptom. And for a opinion that prohibited bee venom acupuncture on DM because of increasing serum glucose level by increasing serum cortisol level, we also experienced that serum glucose level of DM patient stabilized by bee Venom acupuncture treatments, so we report this case with literature review of articles.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of the heating-conduction acupuncture therapy on the postpartum low back pain patients. Methods : Heating-conduction acupuncture therapy was administered three and four times on three postpartum low back pain patients. The improvement of clinical symptoms was evaluated by SF-MPQ(short form-McGill pain questionnarie), VAS(visual analogue scale) and ODI(oswestry disability index). Results : After treatment, each three patients' SF-MPQ, VAS and ODI score reduced respectively. Conclusions : Heating-conduction acupuncture therapy for postpartum low back pain patients was effective. Although this cases presented valuable result, further research is encouraged to confirm the effectiveness of this treatment.

Objectives : This study was performed to evaluate the effect of Bee Venom Acupuncture Therapy on Lumbar Spinal Stenosis. Methods : The patient was diagnosed as Lumbar Spinal Stenosis through Lumbar spine MRI and treated with Bee Venom Acupuncture Therapy and so on and measured of VAS and ODI score to evaluate treatment effects. Results and Conclusions : ROM of Lumbar, Milgram test and sensory test has improved. VAS and ODI score were also decreased.

Objectives : We evaluated the effect of Mckenzie method treatment by participating two patients suffering from Tortipelvis by lumbar disc herniation. Methods : Two patients were diagnosed as Tortipelvis by lumbar disc herniation through CT scan and X-ray examination. We used Mckenzie method and measured VAS(Visual analogue scale). Results and Conclusions : After using Mckenzie method treatment, We found out a recovery from both patients suffering from Tortipelvis by lumbar disc herniation. The result, through our study, suggests that Mckenzie method treatment was effective to cure the Tortipelvis by lumbar disc herniation. It also was effective to reduce the low back pain and to stabilize the lumbar disc herniation.

Objectives: This study was performed to evaluate the effect of acupuncture and traction on Spasmodic Torticollis patient. Methods: The patient was hospitalized Dept. of Oriental Rehabilitation Medicine, College of Oriental Medicine, Dong-Guk University from 19th, May 2005 to 24th, August 2005, diagnosed as Spasmodic Torticollis and treated with Acupuncture, Traction and so on. Results and Conclusions: Symptom of patient such as Spasmodic Torticollis was improved after above treatment. So it is suggested that oriental medical treatment are effective in the Spasmodic Torticollis.

Objective : We got a good effect on one patient who was diagnosed Fibromyalgia. Method : We treated 1 case of Fibromyalgia with acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal medication, and iontophoresis. We measured the VAS(Visual Analog Scale) and ROM(Range of motion) of Lumbar. Results : Patient's met complain is low back pain, pain and hemiparesis of night lower limb, and Pantalgia After treatment, most symptoms decreased and ROM, ambulation improved. VAS score changed from 10 to 2 for 52 days. Conclusion : The Fibromyalgia were successfully treated by acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal medication, and iontophoresis.

Objectives : To introduce the Jeongham Therapy which means a mandibul-rectifying treatment. And to show meaningful changes of thoracic kypkosis and lumbar lordosis by the Jeongham Therapy. Methods : We reviewed 8 patients having abnormal thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis who were treated at the JeongHam Korean Medical Clinic. We measured thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis by 3D Body Analyzer 'IBS 2000'. Results : Between before and after the Jeongham Therapy, statically significant differences were found in the thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis. And in these values of measurements, the thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis diminish after the Jeongham Therapy. Conclusion : These results suggest that the Jeongham Therapy is a meaningful therapy to diminish the thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis.

This study is to observe the effect of Korean medicine treatment combined with electro-acupuncture and chuna manual treatment on tarsal tunnel syndrome inpatient. The patient, diagnosed as tarsal tunnel syndrome, was treated by Korean medicine treatment in combination with electro-acupuncture and chuna manual treatment. We measured visual analogue scale(VAS). Neuropathic pain scale(NPS) was adopted as a method of measuring the treatment results of pain & hypoesthesia. Rt. sole numbness & pain decreased from VAS 10 to VAS 4. Rt. foot paresthesia decreased from VAS 10 to VAS 4 and Rt. ankle pain was disappeared. NPS score decreased from 80 to 62. Korean medicine treatment in combination with electro-acupuncture and chuna manual treatment is proved to be helpful to improve the symptoms of the tarsal tunnel syndrome patient.

Current treatment for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis(AIS) consists of three phases: observation, bracing, and surgery. Although there are many nonsurgical treatment(bracing, electrical stimulation, exercise, manipulation, acupuncture, etc), their effect is still controversial. In many paper, Schroth method was reported good immediate response to conservative care, which could be considered a sign of good prognosis. Schroth method became effective thai specialists in physiotherapy for spinal deformities teach the patient how to perform a routine of 'curve pattern' specific exercises with the purpose to facilitate the correction of the asymmetric posture and to teach the patient to maintain the corrected posture in dally activities. This Principles of correction exercise treatment are based on those developed by the German physiotherepist K. Schroth.
