Optimal Wavelet Filter Design Using Coding Gain (압축이득을 이용한 최적 웨이브렛 필터의 설계)

  • In this paper, a new wavelet filter design algorithm is proposed which optimizes energy compaction of transformed coefficients. The filter, designed by the proposed algorithm enhances the coding gain of the system with fixed quantizer by most unevenly distributed energy in transform domain. The coding gain function was extended to obtain the optimal filter coefficients in each stage. The experiments showed that the filter designed by proposed method outperforms conventional filters in energy compaction rate.

  • 본 논문에서는 37kw이하 공용코어용 고효율 유도전동기 시제품 제작하였다. 시제품을 제작하기위해서는 전동기설계 및 해석이 필요하다. 방법으로는 전동기기본설계, 실험계획법, 등가회로법, 유한요소법 등이 있다. 이중에서 실험계획법에는 최적설계, 주요인자, 최적영역 등으로 나누어 분석할 수 있다. 설계 및 해석한 결과를 가지고 특성을 분석하고 재료비 및 효율을 비교하게 된다. 이를 바탕으로 5.5kw, 7.5kw, 11kw, 15kw 4극, 6극 공용코어용 고효율 유도전동기 시제품을 제작하였다.

Design Optimization of Transonic Wing/Fuselage System Using Proper Orthogona1 Decomposition (Proper Orthogonal Decomposition을 이용한 천음속 날개/동체 모텔의 최적설계)

  • This paper presents a validation of the accuracy of a reduced order model(ROM) and the efficiency of the design optimization using a Proper Orthogonal Decomposition(POD) to transonic wing/fuselage system. Three dimensional Euler equations are solved to extrude snapshot data of the full order aerodynamic analysis, and then a set of POD basis vectors reproducing the behavior of flow around the wing/fuselage system is calculated from these snapshots. In this study, reduced order model constructed through this procedure is applied to several validation cases, and then it is confirmed that the ROM has the capability of the prediction of flow field in the space of interest. Additionally, after the design optimization of the wing/fuselage system with the ROM is performed, results of the ROM are compared with results of the design optimization using response surface model(RSM). From these, it can be confirmed that the design optimization with the ROM is more efficient than RSM.

  • The Optimal filter yielding optimal texture feature separation is a most effective technique for extracting the texture objects from multiple textures images. But, most optimal filter design approaches are restricted to the issue of supervised problems. No full-unsupervised method is based on the recognition of texture objects in image. We propose a novel approach that uses unsupervised learning schemes for efficient texture image analysis, and the band-pass feature of Gabor-filter is used for the optimal filter design. In our approach, the self-organizing neural network for multiple texture image identification is based on block-based clustering. The optimal frequency of Gabor-filter is turned to the optimal frequency of the distinct texture in frequency domain by analyzing the spatial frequency. In order to show the performance of the designed filters, after we have attempted to build a various texture images. The texture objects extraction is achieved by using the designed Gabor-filter. Our experimental results show that the performance of the system is very successful.

  • 본 연구에서는 Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu (SAC305) 무연솔더의 최적 인쇄성을 위한 PCB 및 마스크설계, 스크린프린팅 공정변수의 최적값을 실험계획법을 통해 평가하였다. 사용된 칩은 가로 0.4mm 세로 0.2mm의 0402 MLCC칩이며, 사용된 시험보드는 OSP 표면처리된 PCB이었다. 인쇄성을 판단하기 위한 공정인자는 금속마스크 두께, 마스크홀 크기, 패드크기 및 모양, 인쇄각도, 인쇄속도, 판분리속도이었다. ANOVA분석을 통해 주인자를 파악하였으며, 인쇄성에 영향을 미치는 주인자는 마스크두께와 인쇄각도임이 확인되었다. 그 후 중심 합성법을 이용하여 인쇄성 최적 조건을 확인하였다. 결과로 나타난 등고선/표면도를 통해, 마스크두께가 작을 때에는 인쇄각도가 작아야 높은 인쇄성을 갖으며, 또한 마스크 두께가 클 경우에는 인쇄각도가 커야 높은 인쇄성을 가짐을 알 수 있었다. 추가실험을 통해서 인쇄성 표면도의 정확도를 확인하였으며, 실험값은 표면도에서 표시된 인쇄성값과 비슷함을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 인쇄성이 낮은 영역과 높은 영역에서 접합강도값을 측정하였으며, 인쇄성이 좋은 영역에서 접합강도도 높음을 알 수 있었다.

Numerical analysis on the estimation of optimal disc cutter angle in transition cutter zone (전이 구간(트렌지션 커터존)의 최적 디스크커터 각도 산정에 관한 수치해석 연구)

  • In the design of a tunnel boring machine (TBM), the excavation efficiency of the equipment depends on the design of the cutter head, which is directly in contact with the ground. Especially, the allocation of disc cutter is crucial issue. Disc cutters can be divided into center cutter zone, inner cutter zone and transition cutter zone depending on where they are placed. Many studies have been conducted to identify optimal cutting conditions for face cutters. However, research to determine the optimal cutting conditions for the transition cutter has been relatively incomplete. In this study, to identify the optimal cutting conditions for the transition cutter, numerical analysis using discrete element method was performed, and the specific energy curve according to the angle between the transition cutters was drawn to find out the optimum cutting conditions. The results show that the angle between the transition cutters showing minimum specific energy in the transition cutter zone is 9°. Transition cutter zone was divided into three sections according to the slope angle of the transition cutter. It is also found that, the greater the slope angle of the transition cutter. This finding shows good agreement with the present design of transition cutter zone.

  • This paper presents an optimal robust LQ-PID controller design method for the second order system with time-delay to meet design specifications. By LQR formulation of the second order system with time-delay, the tuning parameters of PID controller are related by weighting factors Q and R of cost function. The selection of weighting factors Q and R are chosen to satisfy such the design specifications as overshoot and settling time.

  • 환자의 환부를 최소한으로 절개하여 시술하는 최소 침습 수술 수술은 많은 장점을 가지고 있어 그 활용도가 점차 확대되고 있다. 하지만 조작하는 조직으로부터 눈과 손이 분리되어 있기 때문에 많은 문제점들이 발생한다. 그 중 하나는 수술 영역과 시각 영역이 분리되어 발생하는데, 최적의 위치조정을 위한 자동 복강경 수술 로봇 팔 시스템 도입으로 이러한 문제를 해결하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 복강경 수술 로봇 팔을 설계하는데 있어 동작 범위를 빠르게 시각화하여 설계 단계에서 다양한 파리미터를 적용하여 보다 효율적인 복강경 수술 로봇 팔의 설계 방법을 제시한다. 제안된 물리 엔진을 이용한 동작 범위 분석 방법은 역기구학을 계산할 필요가 없으며, 설계가 바뀌어도 추가로 산출해야 하는 수식 없이 바로 수정된 기구학만으로 동작 범위 분석이 가능하다.

An Optimal Design Method for the Multidimensional Nested Attribute Indexes (다차원 중포 속성 색인구조의 최적 설계기법)

  • This paper presents an optimal design methodology for the multidimensional nested attribute index (MD-NAI) that uses a multidimensional index structure for indexing the nested attributes in object databases. The MD-NAI efficiently supports complex queries involving both nested attributes and class hierarchies, which are not supported by the nested attribute index using one-dimensional index structure such as $B^+$-tree. However, the performance of the MD-NAI is very degraded in some cases of user's query types. In this paper, for the performance enhancement of the MD-NAI, we first determine the optimal shape of index page region by using the query information about the nested predicates, and then construct an optimal MD NAI by applying a region splitting strategy that makes the shape of the page regions of the MD-NAI as close as possible to the predetermined optimal one. For performance evaluation, we perform extensive experiments with the MD-NAI using various types of nested predicates and object distribution. The results indicate that our proposed method builds optimal MD-NAI regardless of the query types and object distributions. When the interval ratio of a three-dimensional query region is 1:16:236, the performance of the proposed method is enhanced by as much as 5.5 times over that of the conventional method employing the cyclic splitting strategy.

  • 제조기술이 발전함에 따라 비구면을 사용한 광학계 설계에 대한 많은 연구가 보고 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 단일렌즈에서 다양한 렌즈면 조합 중에서 성능이 가장 우수하게 나타난 비구회절면(비구면과 회절면을 동시에 적용)을 사용하여 이군렌즈에 대해 F/l.0인 대구경 광학계를 설계하였다. 사용된 검출기 사양은 픽셀 크기 45um, 픽셀 수 320$\times$240 이며, fill factor 는 무시하였다. 광학계의 유효초점거리는 171.73mm 이며, 사용한 프로그램은 ORA 사의 Code V 이다. (중략)
