The Method of Localization using Radical Line among Sensor Nodes under the Internet Of Things (사물 인터넷 환경에서 Radical Line을 이용한 센서 노드간의 지역화방법)

  • The sensor network that is component of the Internet of Things require a lot of research to select the best route to send information to the anchor node, to collect a number of environment and cost efficient for communication between the sensor life. On the sensor network in one of the components of IOT's environment, sensor nodes are an extension device with low power low capacity. For routing method for data transmission between the sensor nodes, the connection between the anchor and the node must be accurate with in adjacent areas relatively. Localization CA (Centroid Algorithm) is often used although an error frequently occurs. In this paper, we propose a range-free localization method between sensor nodes based on the Radical Line in order to solve this problem.

  • In this paper, we propose the synchronization recovery algorithm which is suitable to wireless multimedia of wireless channel situation which is being used OFDM signaling method. The basic of the suggested clock synchronization. restoration Algorithm is to getting the shock response of channel or getting the multipath strength profile through IFFT after the getting the frequency, response of deducted channel from channel deductor of receiver and to trace the location in the channel energy concentrated area of timing area. And it also analysis the start point of 64-QAM and 16-QAM if the sampling clock offset has the sample of $\pm$1-3, and we identified the occurance of performance deterioration when occures more than 2 samples of offset to compare with star point and BER performance in optimum sampling point result of BER performance checking, and we know that the recovery algorithm proposed algorithm also provide excellent synchronization characteries under frequency, selecting fading channel as result of simulation.

Designing Operational Effectiveness of Autonomously Decided Countermeasures (자율적으로 결정한 대응기법의 운용효과도 설계)

  • It is indispensable that aircrafts in electrical warfare settings endeavour to improve their survivability by selecting optimal countermeasures against threats. In this paper, we model the successful probabilities of aircraft survivability equipments that remove threats encountered, and also propose a framework for the aircrafts to autonomously decide their countermeasures. And then, we design the operational effectiveness of the aircraft survivability equipments, and quantitatively formulate the operational effectiveness into the form of reduction in lethality (RL). We actually show how the operational effectiveness can be computed in simulated example scenarios. To verify our framework proposed in this paper, we experimented with the successful probabilities of aircraft survivability equipments and the autonomous decision-making against threats in various electronic warfare settings. In the experiments, it turns out that our agents outperform the agents that randomly choose their countermeasures, which is 12% more efficient in their performance.

A Study on Kernel Size Adaptation for Correntropy-based Learning Algorithms (코렌트로피 기반 학습 알고리듬의 커널 사이즈에 관한 연구)

  • The ITL (information theoretic learning) based on the kernel density estimation method that has successfully been applied to machine learning and signal processing applications has a drawback of severe sensitiveness in choosing proper kernel sizes. For the maximization of correntropy criterion (MCC) as one of the ITL-type criteria, several methods of adapting the remaining kernel size ( ) after removing the term have been studied. In this paper, it is shown that the main cause of sensitivity in choosing the kernel size derives from the term and that the adaptive adjustment of in the remaining terms leads to approach the absolute value of error, which prevents the weight adjustment from continuing. Thus, it is proposed that choosing an appropriate constant as the kernel size for the remaining terms is more effective. In addition, the experiment results when compared to the conventional algorithm show that the proposed method enhances learning performance by about 2dB of steady state MSE with the same convergence rate. In an experiment for channel models, the proposed method enhances performance by 4 dB so that the proposed method is more suitable for more complex or inferior conditions.

Design of kitchen cabinet using complex link mechanism (복합 링크기구를 이용한 주방 상부장 설계)

  • Kitchen cabinets are essential furniture for storing the kitchen tools, but their high installed location makes it difficult for users to access the upper of the cabinets. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new type of kitchen cabinet that allows users to easily take out or store items by adding new height adjustment features while maintaining the function of the existing cabinet. For convenience and safety, an appropriate complex link mechanism is designed so that the selected floor, not the entire cabinet, can come down to a desired height with one operation. Moreover, the optimal descent path is set to prevent the floor tilting or interfloor interference during descent, and appropriate link shapes, lengths, and joint types are selected to implement it. FEA analysis is performed to ensure that the stretched complex linkage can support the load of the stored items and the feasibility of the height adjustable kitchen cabinet is verified through fabrication.

  • Kitchen cabinets are widely used for their spacious storage and efficient use of space, but their high installed location makes it difficult for the elderly and disabled to access. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new height-adjustable kitchen cabinet that can be used more easily and safely. The lift-down range of cabinet was set considering the installation location of cabinet for efficient use of kitchen space and the maximum height accessible to the elderly and disabled, and the link geometry and driving method of the complex link mechanism were determined through the mechanism design procedure to ensure that the selected floor come down safely along the optimal descend path. In addition, the appropriate motor and control algorithm were added to allow the user to descend to the desired height with a simple button operation. It was confirmed through actual production that the proposed linkage mechanism performs the desired lift-down motion.

  • Most of the existing multicast routing protocols for ad-hoc networks do not take into account the efficiency of the protocol for the cases when there are large number of sources in the multicast group, resulting in either large overhead or poor data delivery ratio when the number of sources is large. In this paper, we propose a multicast routing protocol for ad-hoc networks, which particularly considers the scalability of the protocol in terms of the number of sources in the multicast groups. The proposed protocol designates a set of sources as the core sources. Each core source is a root of each tree that reaches all the destinations of the multicast group. The union of these trees constitutes the data delivery mesh, and each of the non-core sources finds the nearest core source in order to delegate its data delivery. For the efficient operation of the proposed protocol, it is important to have an appropriate number of core sources. Having too many of the core sources incurs excessive control and data packet overhead, whereas having too little of them results in a vulnerable and overloaded data delivery mesh. The data delivery mesh is optimally reconfigured through the periodic control message flooding from the core sources, whereas the connectivity of the mesh is maintained by a persistent local mesh recovery mechanism. The simulation results show that the proposed protocol achieves an efficient multicast communication with high data delivery ratio and low communication overhead compared with the other existing multicast routing protocols when there are multiple sources in the multicast group.

ACE-BIS: A Cost-Effective Bus Information System (ACE-BIS: 최적의 버스 노선을 선택하기 위한 비용 효율적인 알고리즘의 개발)

  • Due to the rapid development in mobile communication technologies, the usage of mobile devices such as cellular phones and PDAs becomes increasingly popular. One of the best ways to maximize the usability of mobile devices is to make them aware of their current locations and the locations of other fixed and mobile objects. In this paper, we propose a cost-effective Bus Information System, ACE-BIS, which utilizes a mobile device to retrieve the bus routes to reach a destination from the current location. To accomplish this task, ACE-BIS maintains a small amount of information on bus stops and bus routes in a mobile device and runs a heuristic routing algorithm based on such information. When a user asks more accurate route information or calls for a 'leave later query', ACE-BIS entrusts the task to a server into which real-time traffic and bus location information is being collected. By separating the roles into a mobile device and a server, ACE-BIS is able to provide bus routes at the lowest cost for wireless communications, without imposing much burden to a server. The results of extensive experiments revealed that ACE-BIS is effective and scalable in most experimental settings.

A study on the hybrid communication system to remove the communication shadow area for controller system of navigational aids (전파 음영지역 해소를 위한 항로표지관리용 하이브리드 통신 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • Mu-communication board supported by multi-communication is designed with Atxmega 128A1 which is a low power energy consuming of 8-bit microcontroller. ATxmega128A1 microcontroller consists of 8 UART(Universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter) ports which can be setting appropriate user interface having command line interpreter(CLI) program with each port, 2 kbytes EEPROM, 128 kbytes flash memory, 8 kbytes SRAM. 8 URAT ports are used for the multi communication modem, GPS module, etc. and EEPROM is used for saving a configuration for program running, and flash memory of 128 kbytes is used for storing a Firm Ware, and 8 kbytes SRAM is used for stack, storing memory of global variables while program running. If we uses the hybrid communication of path optimization of VHF, TRS and CDMA to remote control AtoN(aid to navigation), it is able to remove the communication shadow area. Even though there is a shadow area for individual communication method, we can select an optimum communication method. The compatibility of data has been enhanced as using of same data frame per communication devices. For the test, 8640 of data has been collected from the each buoy during 30 days in every 5 minutes and the receiving rate of the data has shown more than 99.4 %.

Development of The Freeway Operating Time Prediction Model Using Toll Collection System Data (고속도로 통행료수납자료를 이용한 통행시간 예측모형 개발)

  • The object of this study is to develop an operating time prediction model for expressways using toll collection data. A Prediction model based on modular neural network model was developed and tested using real data. Two toll collection system(TCS) data set. Seoul-Suwon section for short range and Seoul-Daejeon section for long range, in Kyongbu expressway line were collected and analyzed. A time series analysis on TCS data indicated that operating times on both ranges are in reasonable prediction ranges. It was also found that prediction for the long section was more complex than that for the short section. However, a long term prediction for the short section turned out to be more difficult than that for the long section because of the higher sensitivity to initial condition. An application of the suggested model produced accurate prediction time. The features of suggested prediction model are in the requirement of minimum (3) input layers and in the ability of stable operating time prediction.
