Brightness uniformity measurement analysis of the medical clinical monitoring (의료용 임상 모니터의 휘도 균일성 측정 방법 분석)

  • 병원에서 사용되는 임상용 모니터의 관리는 중요하다. 모니터의 기본적 관리는 휘도이며, 휘도에서도 균일도가 가장 먼저 관리되는 대상이다. 특히 LCD 모니터인 경우 균일도에 문제가 모니터의 교체주기와 일치하는 경우가 많다. 휘도에 대한 평가는 여러 가지가 존재하지만, 본 연구에서는 AAPM TG18에 따라 TG18-UNL10, TG18-UNL80을 이용하여 휘도의 균일도를 조사하였다. 이 조사과정에서 측정값 중 가장 높은 수치를 기준으로 나머지 값의 편차를 구하는 방법과 평균값을 이용하여 측정값의 편차를 구하는 방법 두 가지를 사용하였으며, 두 가지 방법의 유의성을 알아보고자 휘도의 편차 변화량 즉, 균일도를 측정하였다. 휘도 균일도의 정량평가는 향후 모니터의 관리에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 인자로써 측정기간 중 변화량은 매우 적게 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제시된 최대, 최소값의 편차나 평균값의 상대 편차값 모두 유의한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • In this study, the accuracy of three dimensional location was improved by self calibration bundle method with additional parameter, which is to correct systematic error through detection and elimination of the gross error from updated reference variance for observation values in photogram-metry. In this study, with the result of comparing accuracy of each method, correcting systematic error is more effective after gross error detection and when observation values are contained more than two gross error the point with maximum correlation value is detected by masking effect of least square adjustment.

  • Numerical analysis, as EAM(Embedded Atom Method), in the atomic level is necessary to analyze the relation between the hydrogen and hydrogen absorption metals. EAM established on density functional theory was developed as a new means for calculating various properties and phenomena of realistic metal systems. In this study, we had constructed the EAM program from constitutive formulae and parameters of the hydrogen, nickel and palladium for the purpose of predicting the expansion behavior on hydrogen absorbing. In result, not only the ground state properties of metals but also lattice constants and the volume expansion ratio of metal hydrides show good agreement with Daw's data and experiment data.

Optimal Working Cycles for Minimal Repair Policy (정기교체 및 최소수리를 고려한 작업주기 횟수 최적화)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to determine an optimal number of cycle times for the replacement under the circumstance where the system is replaced at the periodic time and the multiple number of working cycles whichever occurs first and the system is minimally repaired between the replacements if it fails. Methods: The system is replaced at periodic time () or cycle time, whichever occurs first, and is repaired minimally when it fails between successive replacements. To determine the optimal number of cycle times, the expected total cost rate is optimized with respect to the number of cycle times, where the expected total cost rate is defined as the ratio of the expected total cost between replacements to the expected time between replacements. Results: In this paper, we conduct a sensitivity analysis to find the following results. First, when the expected number of failures per unit time increases, the optimal number of cycle times decreases. Second, when the periodic time for replacement becomes longer, the optimal number of cycle times decreases. Third, when the expected value for exponential distribution of the cycle time increases, the optimal number of cycle times increases. Conclusion: A mathematical model is suggested to find the optimal number of cycle times and numerical examples are provided through the sensitivity analysis on the model parameters to see the patterns for changes of the optimal number of cycle times.

Optimized Design of Wide-Band Subarray Using a Genetic Algorithm (유전 알고리즘을 이용한 광대역 부배열 최적화 설계)

  • This paper specifies on optimized design of wide-band subarray using a Genetic Algorithm. First wide-band radiator was designed at triangle lattice of infinite array structure. It is the radiator of notch type that has a wide-band characteristic of ratio 2:1 between maximum and minimum frequency satisfying active reflection coefficient under -10 dB at boresight. And a Genetic Algorithm was applied to optimize subarray partition of antenna consisting of 1,100 array elements. It was confirmed that an optimized subarray antenna has a 4.5-5.5 dB more improved maximum SLL (Side-Lobe Level) than regular subarray antenna.

  • A precise determination of the fuel efficiency is important because North/South station keeping, which controls the inclination of the geostationary orbit, consumes most of the satellie fuel. We estimate the amount of fuel required during the lifetime of the KOREASAT when MFT(Minimum Fuel Target) technique is adopted, and the result is compared to those when MCT(Maximum Compensation Target) and TBCT(Track-Back Chord Target) technique are applied. From this computation, we find that if MFT technique is adopted, the lifetime of the satellite can be extended at least 45 and 15 days, respectively, compared to those consumed with MCT and TBCT technique.

바닥 급기 공조의 전망

  • 바낙 공기 급기(UFAD, underfloor air distribution)는 사무실과 상업 건물의 공조를 위하여 바닥 하부 공간을 사용하는 혁신적인 기술이다. 북미에서는 UFAD가 기존 천장 공기 급기 방식에 비하여 많은 장점을 지니므로 그 수요가 날로 증가하고 있다. 잘 설계된 UFAD 시스템은 다음과 같은 장점을 지닌다. - 건물의 용도 변경에 따픈 유연성이 우수하므로 건물의 생애 주기 비용을 감소시킨다. - 개별 쾌적성 제어가 가능하므로 온열 쾌적성, 거주자의 만족도 그리고 생산성을 향상시킨다. - 거주자주변에 직접 선선한 공기를 공급하므로 환기 효율, 실내 공기질 그리고 건강 상태를 향상시킨다. - 이코노마이저 운전, 온도 성층화 그리고 낮은 정합 운전에 의하여 에너지 비용을 감소시킨다. - 설비 공간이 축소되고 표준 철골 구조에서는 콘크리트 구조체 변경이 가능하므로 새 건축 공법에서는 충고를 감소시킬 수 있다. 1995년까지만 해도 UFAD는 파격적인 설계 기법이라고 여겨졌지만, 이제 설계자와 건축업자들은 2004년까지 신축되는 사무용 건축품의 35%는 바닥을 높인 기법이 적용되며 이 중 반 정도가 UFAD를 채택할 것이라고 예측하고 있다. 2000년 2억불이라고 추정되던 바닥을 높이는 건축의 시장 규모가 2004년에는 최소 10억불이 되리라고 예측된다. UFAD는 기본 연구에 의한 정립된 표준화된 설계 기법과 지침이 아직 마련되지 않았음에도 불구하고 현재 설계, 시공되고 있다. 이라한 경향은 펄수적인 연구가 수행되어 관련 업계가 지식과 경험을 충분히 쌓기 전까지는 계속될 전망이다. 본고는 시스템 설계와 운영의 주요한 특징, 기존 방식과 비교하여 지니고 있는 잠재적인 장점, 한계와 기술 개발의 필요성, UFAD 기술 개발을 위하여 계속적으로 요구되는 연구 분야 등을 서술함으로써 현재 UFAD 기술에 대한 평가를 한다.

Hydraulic Experiments for the Reflection Characteristics of Perforated Breakwaters (유공방파제의 반사특성에 관한 수리실험)

  • Hydraulic experiments were carried out to investigate the reflection characteristics of perforated breakwaters in regular wave conditions varying the width of wave chamber and the shape of perforated wall. It was found that the reflection coefficient of the perforated breakwater was very sensitive to the change of wave chamber width. giving its minimal value when the width of the wave chamber is approximately 0.2 times the wave length in the wave chamber. This phenomenon may be resulted from the wave resonance inside the wave chamber. The reflection coefficients slightly varied for all shapes of perforated wall. i.e., vortical slit, horizontal slit or circular hole. However, the reflection trend of the structure was not significantly affected by the shape of the perforated wall.

  • Hydraulic experiments were carried out to investigate the hydraulic characteristics of solid and perforated-wall caissons of a mixed type breakwater for regular waves of various heights and periods. It was found that a perforated-wall caisson is more advantageous than a solid caisson for such hydraulic characteristics as reflection. transmission, and runup at the front face of the caissons and that the experimental results agree reasonably well with existing theoretical or empirical relationships. Especially the reflection coefficient of a perforated-wall caisson. mainly governed by the resonance in the wave chamber, was found to be minimum when the width of the wave chamber is approximately a quarter of the wave length in the wave chamber.

  • In this paper, technologies applied to design urination detection device on diaper that issues an alarm signal to guardian within 10~20m are introduced. It features power saving that uses both low power bluetooth v4.0 chip and low-power program scheme that makes sensor and mirco-controller to be sleep mode while data is not receiving from sensor. Urination detection algorithm that utilizes the difference between previous sensing data and current values is used to improve the degree of the detection precision level. The device designed with the suggested technologies shows the performance that is 100ml of the minimum urine amount for detection, more than 90% of urination detection degree, and 100% of wireless communication success rate.
