Synthesis of Cross-Linked Polyurethane-Based Gel Polymer Electrolyte and Its Electrochemical Properties (가교형 폴리우레탄기 겔 폴리머 전해질의 합성과 전기화학적 특성)

  • Urethane acrylate oligomer was synthesized and used in a gel polymer electrolyte (GPE) and then its electrochemical performances were evaluated. $LiCoO_2/GPE/graphite$ cells were prepared and their performances depending on discharge currents and temperatures were evaluated. The precursor containing $5 vol\%$ curable mixture had a low viscosity relatively. ionic conductivity of the gel polymer electrolyte at room temperature and $-20^{\circ}C$ was ca. $5.9\times10^{-3}S{\cdot}cm^{-1}\;and\;1.4times10^{-3}S{\cdot}cm^{-1}$, respectively. GPE showed good electrochemical stability up to potential of 4.5V vs. RLi/Li^+.\;LiCoO_2/GPE/graphite$ cell showed a good high-rate and low-temperature performance.

Effect of Vinylic Monomers on Toughness of Unsaturated Polyester (불포화 폴리에스테르 수지의 강인성에 비닐계 단량체가 미치는 효과)

  • We investigated the change of mechanical properties of UP using mixture of SM with VAc or MA that have low glass transition temperature when polymerized instead of SM only for diluents of UP. In case of using mixture of SM/MA, it was elucidated that the toughness of UP was more improved than using SM only. But in case of SM/VAc, it was observed that the content of mixture could not affect on toughness. It was concluded that these results are caused by the effect of each diluents mixtures on stress-relaxation due to phase separation and on decrease glass transition temperature of UP is quite different from each other.

  • Surface Texturing is very important process for high cell efficiency in crystalline silicon solar cell. Anisotropic texturing with an alkali etchant was known not to be able to produce uniform surface morphology in multi-crystalline silicon (mc-Si), because of its different etching rate with random crystal orientation. In order to reduce surface reflectance of mc-Si wafer, the general etching tendency was studied with HF/HN$O_3$/De-ionized Water acidic solution. And the surface structures of textured mc-Si in various HF/HN$O_3$ ratios were compared. The surface morphology and reflectance of textured silicon wafers were measured by FE-SEM and UVvisible spectrophotometer, respectively. We obtained average reflectance of $16{\sim}19$% for wavelength between 400 nm and 900 nm depending on different etching conditions.

  • It's being a trend that contemporary buildings are getting higher. And in line with this, we suggest the smart elevator operation management mobile application which is designed using clustering techniques to improve user's elevator access control and convenience. This clustering technique using the elevator's calling data make it possible to find its best position, and know the state of it using a smart phone as well. With this, not only the users' waiting time can be decreased, but also their convenience can be improved with the remote control system that got efficient a lot.

Coalescence of Dispersed Phase for Immiscible Polymer Blends in Quiescent Flow Field (정상 흐름 영역에서 비상용성 고분자 블렌드계의 분산상의 Coalescence 거동에 관한 연구)

  • The deformation and coalescence behaviors of immiscible LDPE/PS blends (86.5/13.5 vol%) prepared by internal mixer were studied using rheometer and scanning electron microscope. The fine droplets coagulated at initial stage of mixing, and deformed fiber at large strain. The critical capillary number was calculated according to the empirical equation of De Bruijn and it was 0.95, the local capillary number was 3.867. The polymer blends were annealed at $200^{\circ}C$ for various time to investigate morphological change of polymer blends. The maximum size of droplet after annealing at $200^{\circ}C$ was found at ${\gamma}$=1798, and there was destruction of the morphology at 15 minutes of annealing time. The viscosity of matrix was critical to determine a coalescence of droplet.

Effects of Sintering Temperature on the Electrical Conductivities of the Y2O3-Carbon Composites (Y2O3-카본 복합체의 전기전도성에 미치는 소결온도의 영향)

  • The $Y_2O_3$ ceramics have been widely used as plasma resistant materials in the semiconductor industry. In this study, composites made of plasma resistant $Y_2O_3$ and electrically conductive carbon have been produced. The electrical properties of this composite were measured with respect to the size, volume fraction of the conductive carbon phase, and sintering temperature. When micro-sized carbon was used, the composites were insulating up to 5 wt% addition of the carbon. However, when nano-sized carbon of around 60 ~100 nm was used, the composites became conductive over threshold volume fraction of carbon, which increased with increasing sintering temperature. This behavior of electrical conductivity of the composites was discussed in terms of the percolation theory. The percolation threshold of the conductivity seemed to be affected by the grain growth and coalescences of dispersed conductive carbon phases with grain growth of matrix $Y_2O_3$.

  • Threat hunting is defined as a process of proactively and iteratively searching through networks to detect and isolate advanced threats that evade existing security solutions. The main concept of threat hunting is to find out weak points and remedy them before actual cyber threat has occurred. And HMM(Hunting Maturity Matrix) is suggested to evolve hunting processes with five levels, therefore, CSOC(Cyber Security Operations Center) can refer HMM how to make them safer from complicated and organized cyber attacks. We are developing a system for cyber situation awareness system with pro-active threat hunting process called unMazeTM. With this unMaze, it can be upgraded CSOC's HMM level from initial level to basic level. CSOC with unMaze do threat hunting process not only detecting existing cyber equipment post-actively, but also proactively detecting cyber threat by fusing and analyzing cyber asset data and threat intelligence.

  • Unsaturated polyester(UP) resin is one of the major thermosetting resins. It is very useful as the matrix resin of the composite material because of its low viscosity. The polymer resin, however, has several drawbacks; The volume shrinkage occurs during the crosslinking reaction of the UP resin with styrene monomer and the resulting polymer is weak to the alkali and also brittle. The mechanical properties of UP resin can be improved by blending various materials. In this study, polyurethane(PU) was used as a modifier in order to enhance the toughness of the UP resin. The goal of the research is to study the effect of the polyol molecular weight as a PU soft segment and the PU contents on the toughness of PU-modified UP resins. UP/PU polymer network may occur through the reaction between isocyanate group in the methyldiisocyanate(MDI) and hydroxyl group in the UP molecules. The maximum toughness value was shown at 2 wt% of the PU content. This effect results from the incorporation of the PU segment into the UP resin.
