  • Purpose : This study was to understand about the measurement of shoulder motion fraction and motion ratio. We proposed the radiological criterior of glenohumeral and scapulothoracic movement ratio. Materials and Methods : We measured the motion fraction of the glenohumeral and scapulothoracic movement using CR(computed radiological system) of arm elevation at neutral, 90 degree, full elevation. Central ray was $15^{\circ},\;19^{\circ},\;22^{\circ}$ to the cephald for the parallel scapular spine, and the tilting of torso was external oblique $40^{\circ},\;36^{\circ},\;22^{\circ}$ for perpendicular to glenohumeral surface. Healthful donor of 100 was divided 5 groups by age(20, 30, 40, 50, 60). The angle of glenohumeral motion and scapulothoracic motion could be taken from gross arm angle and radiological arm angle. We acquired 3 images at neutral, $90^{\circ}$ and full elevation position and measured radiographic angle of glenoheumeral, scapulothoracic movement respectively. Results : While the arm elevation was $90^{\circ}$, the shoulder motion fraction was 1.22(M), 1.70(W) in right arm and 1.31, 1.54 in left. In full elevation, Right arm fraction was 1.63, 1.84, and left was 1.57, 1.32. In right dominant arm(78%), $90^{\circ} and Full motion fraction was 1.58, 1.43, in left(22%) 1.82, 1.94. In generation 20, $90^{\circ} and Full motion fraction was 1.56, 1.52, 30' was 1.82, 1.43, 40' was 1.23, 1.16, 50' was 1.80, 1.28, 60' was 1.24, 1.75. There was not significantly by gender, dominant arm and age. Conclusion : The criterior of motion fraction was useful reference for clinical dignosis the shoulder instability.

  • In general, image-based virtual environment is represented by panoramic images created by image mosaic algorithm. The cylindrical panoramic image supports the fixed-viewpoint navigation due to the constraints of construction. Shum proposed concentric mosaics to allow users to navigate freely within a circular area[10]. It is constructed by a sequence of images which is acquired from a regularly rotating camera. Concentric mosaics technique, proposed by Shum, is considered as 3D plenoptic function which is defined three parameters : distance, height and angle. In this paper, we suggest an effective method for creating concentric mosaics, in which we first align a set of strip images on the cylinder plane and stitch the aligned strips to build a panoramic image. The proposed method has no constraints such as regular panning motion of camera. Furthermore, our proposed method minimizes the use of interpolation image to create a novel view images from the concentric mosaics. It allows the result image on a novel view to have better quality with respect to the number of input images.

  • Techniques related to 360 VR service have been developed to improve the quality of the stitched image and video, where illumination compensation scheme is one of the important tools. Among the conventional illumination compensation algorithms, Gain-based compensation and Block Gain-based compensation algorithms have shown the outstanding performances in the process of making panorama picture. However, those are ineffective in the 360 VR service, because the disparity between illuminations of the multiple pictures in 360 VR is much more than that in making the panorama picture. In addition, the number of the pictures to be stitched in 360 VR system is more than that in the conventional panorama image system. Thus, we propose a preprocessing tool to enhance the illumination compensation algorithm so that the method reduces the degradation in the stitched picture of 360 VR systems. The proposed algorithm consists of 'color compensation' and 'illumination compensation'. The simulation results show that the proposed technique improve the conventional techniques without additional complexity.

  • There is an Ankle Oblique(Broden' low) as an examination for the patient whose ankle was encased in orthopedic plaster. Some types of Ankle Joint coalition - Calcaneonavicular coalition, Talocalcaneal coalition and Naviculocuneiform coalition. This study is focused on the relation between Ankle Joints and the structural change of soft tissues, also finding the most proper angle to obtain good images of Ankle Joint from the patient who wore a plaster on his ankle, when we x-ray with Harris-Beath View($30^{\circ}{\sim}55^{\circ}$) - for observing Subtalar joint, Calcaneus Fracture, Subtentaculum, Tali Fracture and Talocalcaneal coalition. We intend to get the angle which makes us achieve the good image that shows Calcaneus Fracture, Subtentaculum, and Tali Fracture by changing internal angles of the patient's ankle. We evaluated the images obtained from 51 patients with PACS monitor. The result of the evaluation, subtalar joint was not seperated but opened, and Subtentaculum Tali Fracture was seen overlaid. at the angle 30, we could observe Calcaneus Fracture, Subtentaculum Tali Frature and the front part of behind side of subtalar joint well. And Calcaneo Navicularcoalition, Talocal Canealcoalition, Naviculo Cuneiform coalition condition were clearly seen at that angle. At the angle 35, we could achieve the clear images of subtalar comminuted fracture, talus, the behind joint of heel bone and get the high definition image on the degree of talocalcaneal joint separation. In addition to, We could obtain the good wide image of Sinus Tarsi. At the area of 45, We can distinguish the soft tissues from gyps separation. The outer-talus and density of the bone were definitely seen and Calcaneus is more separated than that of at the angle of 35, but this image is distorted. Calcaneus, Subtentaculum Tali show $1.20{\pm}0.414$ at the angle 25, $2.47{\pm}0.516$ at the angle 30, $2.27{\pm}0.458$ at the angle 45. This difference is statistically meaningful. (p<0.05). Including the degree of distortion, The distortion appears less at the area of $30^{\circ}$ but at the area of 40, there is heavy distortion. So, We could get the best image for making a diagnosis. At the $30{\sim}35^{\circ}$ degree for X-raying ankle. and at the $30{\sim}40^{\circ}$ for Calcaneus Fracture, Subtentaculum Tali Fracture.

  • This study was designed to evaluate the effects of angulation changes of head posture on the enlargement ratios of a lateral headfilm depending on the vortical or horizontal rotation of the objects. A device was constructed to measure regional changes of enlargement ratios. The device was held within the cephalostat and cephalograms recorded at each measured degrees of the device tilting, vertically and horizontally. The enlargement ratios of the horizontal, vertical, and angular measurements on the films taken at each tilted angulations were obtained and compared with those on the films taken without rotation. In summary, the enlargement ratios of the horizontal linear measurements were decreased during horizontal rotations. The enlargement ratios of vortical measurements of the right side on the film were increased and those of the left side were decreased by the horizontal rotations. Enlargement ratios of horizontal measurements were affected further than those of vertical measurements by the same angular changes of the horizontal rotations. Therefore, a disruption of parallelism between the object's midsagittal plane and the film could result in distortion of the image while vertical rotation around the object's porionic axis would not significantly affect the enlargement ratios on the headfilm.

  • It is important to minimize the exposure dose during an examination and obtain good quality images at the same time. This study compared the beam harding effect according to the baseline superior orbito meatal line(SOML), orbito meatal line(OML), inferior orbito metal line(OML) and measured the exposure dose of the lens, especially in brain CT examinations, which generally apply to head diease patients. The beam harding effect assessment of each image along the baseline was performed quantitatively using the Image J program, and the exposure dose of the lens was detected by OSLDs and compared. As a result, As a result, when the SOML was used as the reference line, the dose of the lens was decreased by 85.08% at 80 kV and by 79.7% at 80 kV, compared to when IOML was used as the baseline. If the gantry angle at brain CT was parallel scan to SOML, there were no significant differences in the exposure to the lens and between the OML and IOML. Therefore, this study has shown that it is efficient to have a parallel scan on SOML as a protocol during Brain CT examinations.

  • Drone photogrammetry generally acquires images vertically or obliquely from above, so when photographing for the purpose of three-dimensional modeling, image matching for the ground of a building and spatial accuracy of point cloud data are poor, resulting in poor 3D mesh completeness. Therefore, to overcome this, this study analyzed the spatial accuracy of each drone image by acquiring smartphone images from the ground, and evaluated the accuracy improvement and completeness of 3D mesh when the smartphone image is not combined with the drone image. As a result of the study, the horizontal (x,y) accuracy of drone photogrammetry was about 1/200,000, similar to that of traditional photogrammetry. In addition, it was analyzed that the accuracy according to the photographing method was more affected by the photographing angle of the object than the increase in the number of photos. In the case of the smartphone image combination, the accuracy was not significantly affected, but the completeness of the 3D mesh was able to obtain a 3D mesh of about LoD3 that satisfies the digital twin city standard. Therefore, it is judged that it can be sufficiently used to build a 3D model for digital twin city by combining drone images and smartphones or DSLR images taken on the ground.

  • A conceptual study about the angle information based orbit determination technique for a geostationary satellite was performed. With an assumption that the simultaneous observing of the earth and nearby stars is possible, we confirmed that the view angles between the earth and stars can be use as inputs for orbit determination process. By the MATLAB simulation with least square method, the convergence is confirmed. This conceptual study was performed with the COMS for instance. This technique will be able to use as a back-up of ground station's orbit determination or a part of autonomous satellite operation.
