  • The high-intensity focused ultrasound device intermittently operates abnormally due to communication signal interference between the devices during use due to the high frequency radiated during the skin treatment procedure. Communication interference between multi-frequency ultrasound devices can be reduced through CAN communication controller and transceiver design, firmware S/W program and CAN communication module development.

Implementation of an Ultrasonic Modem Providing Low Cost Communication Channel in the Audio Frequency Boundary Band (가청주파수 경계대역에서 저가의 통신채널을 제공하는 초음파 모뎀 구현)

  • Recently, communication components prefer Bluetooth or Zigbee for PAN. However, using these makes expensive and complicated products such as audio equipments, mobile phones, PC, etc. for transmitting simple messages with low rate. In this paper, we propose wireless communication method using ultrasonic in the audio frequency limit band with speakers and microphones which are in products. We suggest transmitting and receiving methods in the audio frequency limit band for transmitting data without affecting audio signal, and implement an ultrasonic communication modem. Finally, we verify the performance of the ultrasonic communication modem by experiments in an environment with background noise.

  • The sensor network by using Utrasonic transceiver is concerned about the dampness of the signals caused by distance among the nodes, the distortion for speed of data trasmission and the transport protocol. The motes are sized $50mm\times60mm$, the ultrasonic analog part sized $30mm\times40mm$ and record 2% error rate for data transport.

  • 본 논문에서는 충수염 영상 분석에 필요한 두께, 염증의 변화량 등의 자료를 객관적으로 측정할 수 있도록 하기 위해 초음파 영상에서 충수염을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 초음파 영상은 동일한 환경에서 영상을 촬영할 수 없기 때문에 객관적인 분석을 위해 초음파 영상을 표준화 한다. 본 논문에서 사용된 영상은 표준화된 초음파 영상을 대상으로 하였으며, 충수염 추출 과정은 표준화된 초음파 영상에서 최하단 근막을 추출한 뒤, 추출된 최하단 근막을 기준으로 충수를 추출한다. 제안된 방법을 초음파 영상을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 제안된 충수염 추출 방법이 측정자가 직접 충수염을 추출하여 분석하는 방법보다 효과적인 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The ultrasonic phased arrays are used for treating tumors in the human body by the focus control of the acoustic pressure at the desired position. The magnitude and phase of the surface acoustic pressure in each ultrasonic transducer is controlled by the magnitude and phase of the applied voltage to it. In this paper, the relationship between the applied voltage and the surface acoustic pressure of the ultrasound transducer is modelled, and the desired voltage is realized by PWM technique. The validity of the proposed method is verified by computer simulation of the focus control of a ultrasonic phased array composed of 61 ultrasonic transducers.

  • This paper deals with an analysis of multipath which affect a transmission performance in underwater acoustic channel. For the test of autonomous underwater vehicle(AUV), underwater acoustic channel with multipath structure is introduced to mathmatical modelling for a basin environment. In this paper, SMR(Signal to Multipath Ratio) which is defined as a parameter of mulipath's effect is presented as a mathmatical equation, and the equation or SMR is simulated by MATLAB program.

  • 초음파 검사를 이용한 지방간의 등급을 분류하는 진단 결과는 검사자의 주관적 판단으로 시행하므로 검사자 간의 불일치가 발생하여 초음파 검사의 진단 결과에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 환자와 검사자에게 지방간 등급을 보다 정확하게 진단하기 위한 전단계로서 초음파 영상에서 간과 신장 영역을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법을 다양한 초음파 영상에 적용한 결과, 간과 신장 영역이 비교적 정확히 추출되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 제안된 방법이 초음파 영상에서 지방간을 분석하는데 적용할 수 있다.

  • 본 기술개발의 목표는 기존의 Side Scan Sonar 시스템에서 적용된 초음파 수신 신호의 직접적인 모선으로의 전송과 달리 수중 견인체에서 초음파 수신 신호를 취득하여 전력선을 통한 고속 통신 전이중 방식을 통하여 모선의 신호처리 장치로 전송하는 고속 통신 모들의 성능 및 소형화이다.

  • For the measurement of absolute position of mobile robot in indoor environments, the ultrasonic positioning systems using ultrasound have been researched for several years. Most of these ultrasonic positioning systems to avoid interference between the ultrasound are used for sequential transmitting. However, due to the use of sequential transmitting, the positions of transmitter to receive an ultrasound will change when the mobile robot moves. Therefore the accuracy of positioning is reduced. In this paper, the new position estimation algorithm with weighting factor according to the time of receipt is proposed. By applying the proposed algorithm to existing Ultrasonic Satellite System(USAT), the improved USAT is configured. The positioning performance of the improved USAT with the proposed position estimation algorithm are verified by experiments.
