생물학 분야의 문헌으로부터 유전자 및 단백질 이름을 추출하는 기술은 바이오 텍스트 마이닝 분야의 기반 기술로 그 중요성이 점차 증대되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 생물학 분야 문헌의 초록으로부터 하나의 토큰으로 구성된 single gene name은 물론 여러 개의 토큰으로 이루어진 multi gene name까지 유전자나 단백질의 이름을 자동으로 추출하는 시스템 TagGeN(Tagger for Gene Name)을 제안한다. TagGeN은 기존의 태거와 달리, 문자나 숫자 이외의 기호를 포함한 유전자나 단백질 이름의 품사 처리에 있어 개선 방안을 제시하고, 여러 토큰으로 이루어진 이름의 인식에 있어 나란한 두 토큰이 갖는 태그 정보를 이용한 조건부 확률에 근거하여 Markov 모델을 도입한다. 위와 같은 개선방안을 구현한 TagGeN은 성능면에서 기존의 유사시스템에 비해 recall 20.8%, precision 4.7%의 성능향상을 보임으로써 본 연구에서 제안한 방법론의 효과를 입증한다.

On-board spectrophotometer has been widely used as a non-contact and non-destructive measurement system in many fields. In this study, we evaluated the effect with respect to the light of on-board spectrophotometer based on a comparison with the standard spectrophotometer and color information coordinate system. Red, yellow, green and blue color paper, which were the standard reflective color paper and Munsell color paper, were used for experiments. In order to compare between a standard spectrophotometer system and an on-board spectrophotometer system, each color paper was measured 20 times. We concluded that it is possible to develop a system regardless the effect of light if the light was supplied consistently and a calibration was performed exactly while we applied an on-board spectrophotometer to non-contact and non-destructive measurement system.

We have synthesized a novel carrier transporting copolymer having triphenylamine moiety as a hole transporting unit and triazine moiety as an electron transporting unit in the polymer side chain. Single-layered organic electroluminescent (EL) devices consisted of ITO/copolymer and emitting materials (DCM, coumarin 6, DPvBi)/Al exhibited maximum external quantum efficiency when the ratio of hole transporting unit and electron transporting unit is 6:4 and the content of emitting material is 30 wt%. Especially, the devices emitted the light of red (620 nm), green (520 nm) and blue (450 nm) corresponding to the emitting materials, respectively. A maximum luminance of ITO/copolymer (6:4) and DCM (30 wt%)/Al EL device was about 500 cd/$m^2$ at a DC drive voltage of 12V.

This study was examined for purposes of identifing woods of the hull construction collected from a sunken old-ship by the anatomical wood features, and then from the result the geographical distribution ranges of the species were described. Most woods of the hull construction, i.e. shell plating, bulkhead, floor, bulwark, deck and kneel were identified with Chinese red pine (Pinus massoniana), but the fenders were idendified with Chinese fir (Cunninghamia lanceolata). These two species are known to be the endemic species in the south region of Yangtze River. As the other materials, bulwark stays and liquid tank stays were respectively identified with Cinnamomum spp., Distylium spp., and the geographical distributions of these species are the south China, the south coast of Korea and the Japanese Islands.

Experiments were performed on three subsets of a Korean test collection in order to determine whether 2-Poisson model's Z value is a good measure for selecting subject words from a document to be indexed. It was found that subject word selection based on the Z value was effective for only one subset with short texts, i.e., the Science and Technology subset. Correlation analyses between 2-Poisson model's Z and TF.IDF weight for the three subsets showed that the correlation was relatively high for two test subsets with short texts, i.e., the Science and Technology subset and the Newspaper subset.

The study proposed the algorithm for automatically summarizing the audio information from a video and then conducted an experiment for the evaluation of the audio extraction that was constructed based on the proposed algorithm. The research results showed that first, the recall and precision rates of the proposed method for audio summarization were higher than those of the mechanical method by which audio extraction was constructed based on the sentence location. Second, the proposed method outperformed the mechanical method in summary making tasks, although in the gist recognition task(multiple choice), there is no statistically difference between the proposed and mechanical methods. In addition, the study conducted the participants' satisfaction survey regarding the use of audio extraction for video browsing and also discussed the practical implications of the proposed method in Internet and digital library environments.

본 연구는 2인의 전문의와 함께 의료 문헌의 초록을 분석하여 의료문서에서의 절차적 지식을 모델링하고 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 적용하여 절차적 지식을 추출하는 방법론에 대해 기술한다. 절차적 지식은 목적과 해법의 묶음으로, 해법은 다시 단위 절차 지식의 네트워크로 정의 하였고, 목적과 해법 정보 추출과 단위 절차 지식의 구성요소인 대상/행위/방법 개체를 인식하기 위해, 품사태깅, 구문분석, 술어-논항구조(Predicate-Argument Structure), 온톨로지 용어 매핑 정보 등에 기반한 기계학습 방법을 사용하였다. 실험을 위해 전문의와 함께 위함과 척추질환에 대한 1309 문서에 절차적 지식 태깅을 수행하였고, 이 문서 집합을 기반으로 목적/해법 추출 작업과 단위 절차 지식(대상질병/행위/적용방법) 추출 실험을 수행하여, 각각 82% 와 63%의 F-measure 값을 얻을 수 있었다.

ISO/TC46 is the International Organization for Standardization of practices relating to libraries, documentation and information centers, indexing and abstracting services, archives, information science and publishing. This study analyzes current trend of ISO/TC46 and the 4 subcommittees, considering recent matters in regard with identification and description of information resources: ISBN, ISSN, ISMN, ISRN, ISRC, ISAN, ISTC, etc. This research discusses also the question of how international standard numbers system are managed: endowment identifying numbers for electronic resources, component parts, and works.
