We propose Multiph which is a virtual topology for a reliable group communication platform on dynamic high speed network. We also define group communication primitives for transmission of messages and group management. Multiph consists of a set of nodes which are process groups and a set of edges which are the connection between nodes providing the route of messages. Processes can send and receive messages overlapped in a several multicast groups. Overlapped process organizes non-overlapped logical group, which called meta-group. Multiph guarantees ordering of messages that received at the destination group. It has no extra node that decreases system performance. Although the group has dynamic group change to leave and add process, it does not reconstruct the existing platform structure.

The position of the bridged tap is determined by that of the outlet in most modern apartments, since most of the indoor wiring utilizes the bus wiring structure when deploying the indoor communication line. These bridged taps deteriorate transmission performance in the specific frequency at the time of high-speed multimedia communication, which uses a high frequency bandwidth, since the duality of return loss worsens and line attenuation increases rapidly. As a result, analysis on this phenomenon is required. In this study, the test model is created by modeling the intercommunication facility of the apartment that is the most representative residential house type, and by understanding the structure and the environment of the indoor wiring. Also, how the bridge tap affects performance is analyzed when the VDSL service is provided, so that problems of intercommunication lines can be identified and methods for improving the proper intercommunication line can be suggested, which is suitable for accommodating high-speed multimedia service of the future.

It is generallyaccepted that broadband access technologies will play an important role in the National Information Infrastructure. However, the provision of direct fibers to residential and small business customers has always been considered a challenge. To accelerage the provision of Broadband Access Facilities, alternatibe paths could be identified and actaivated in parallel. In this paepr, we present an overview of the alternative access technologies focusing on xDSL, FTTx, HFC, HFR, and suggest the modeling of the access netetwork systems which is using of the technologies. Also to investigate the economics of each access systems, we derve the numerical equations which is summed up the al parameter including the labor cost of the model system. The proposed equation has a variable which is the cell size (or subsciber clusters) and calculate the real cost values which is normalized by the copper cable unit cost. From the numerical resutls, we conclude that the economic access method to provide these broadband capabilities is depended on the subscriber penetration, the patterns of subscriber distribution density and existing communication infrastructures. It can be expected that our analytical model and equations provides an elegant solution to choose the optimal broadband access technologies to residential and small business customers.

The construction of optical access network costs upper 40% in total installation cost of total optical network. Optimization of access network therefore is core in optical network. Advanced countries include EU, Japan and USA already have researched access network. This paper presents analysis of three broad-band fiber-optics subscriber loop architectures(HFC, ATM-PON, Super PON). The analyses focus on the specific demonstrated architectures and use component cost projections to estimate future network costs on a per-subscriber basis. We use TITAN(Tool for Introduction Scenarios and Techno-Economic Evaluation of The Access Network) model. We find that ATM-PON can deliver voice and ISDN data at installed first costs than the other architectures. This is due to the sharing bandwidth among a cluster of subscribers within Curb. This work intends to support establishing guidelines for strategic decisions regarding the development of the access network alternatives of different operators.

최근 초고속 통신망의 발전과 더불어 망을 통한 멀티미디어 서비스의 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 특히 멀티미디어 서비스의 핵심 요소인 영상서비스에 관련된 많은 개발이 이루어졌다. 이러한 망에서의 영상서비스를 효과적으로 제공하기 위하여, 사용자로부터 요구되는 서비스 품질(QoS : Quality of Service)을 보장하고 관리하는 것이 서비스 제공의 핵심 사항이라 볼 수 있다. 최근 주문형 비디오(VoD : Video on Demand) 서비스와 같은 망을 통한 영상 전송이 실용화되고 있으며, 차세대 영상 압축 방식인 MPEG2 방식을 이용한 전송이 개발되고 있다. 이러한 망을 통한 MPEG2 서비스 시, 종단간의 QoS를 보장해 주기 위한 망 계층과 응용 계층간의 QoS 파라미터 측정과 이를 토대로 한 서비스 제공 및 관리가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG2를 이용한 영상 전송 시 종단간의 QoS 측정을 위한 VoD 시스템 및 측정기 개발에 관해 논한다.

공중무선랜은 오늘날 빠르게 증가하고 있는 무선인터넷 서비스에서 빠른 전송속도와 저렴한 설치비용 등으로 빠르게 성장하고 있는 중요한 기반요소로 평가되고 있다. 하지만 무선랜 시장에 대한 기대 뒤에는 보안에 대한 우려 또한 높아지고 있으며 로밍이나 핸드오버에 대한 수요가 커지고 있으나 실제로는 서비스 반경이 작고, 간섭에 의해 서비스 품질을 보장하기 어려우며 사용자 인증, 접근제어, 과금 부분에 있어 믿을 만한 초기 단말 인증이 보장되지 않아 도메인간 연동 문제가 쉽지 않다. 이러한 문제를 보완하여 초고속 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 Mobile IP 기반 로밍 및 핸드오버에 대한 기반 기술 및 Mobile IP에 적용되는 사용자 인증 서비스에 대한 기반기술인 802.1x를 비롯하여 802.11f, Mobile IP등을 고려하여 이동성이 보장된 공중 무선랜 서비스를 위한 인증 방안을 제안하고 검증하며 제안된 방안은 차후로 ALL-IP 기반의 차세대 3G 이동통신망에서 이용될 수 있는 AAA 방안으로 확장하여 적용이 가능한 AAA 모델의 기반기술이 될 것이다.

초고속 통신망에서의 정보 침해는 짧은 시간에 많은 데이터의 손실을 초래할 수 있기 때문에 정보보호의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. ATM 망에서의 정보보안을 위해 보안 서비스를 ATM계층과 AAL 계층에 적용시킬 수도 있고 이 계층들 사이에도 적용시킬수 있으며 보안 계층을 따로 두어 보안 서비스를 하나의 계층에서 다양하고 투명하게 적용할 수 있다. 그러나 이러한 연구들의 결과가 이론에 그치고 있고 실제로 암호 알고리즘 등의 보안 서비스를 적용한 망에서의 성능을 평가하는 부분에 대해서는 연구가 부족한 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 사용자 평면에서 데이터의 비밀성, 무결성, 데이터 원천 인증 등의 보안 서비스를 적용한 보안 계층을 구현하고 SDL이라는 모델링 툴을 이용하여 망에서의 메시지 전달 지연 시간 등을 측정한후 그 성능을 비교.분석하였다 모델링하는 세가지 종류의 망은 첫 번째는 보안 서비스가 적용되지 않은 ATM망이고 두 번째는 보안계층이 CS 부계층과 SAR 부계층 사이에 삽입된 망이며 세 번째는 보안 계층이 ATM계층과 AAL계층 사이에 삽입된 망이다.

현재 많은 기업들은 인터넷을 기반으로 Intranet, Extranet등을 구축하며 기업간 전자 상거래에 활발한 움직임이 있다. Extranet은 WWW으로 대표되는 인터넷 기술을 사용한 기업간 정보 시스템이라 할 수 있고, 종래의 기업간 정보시스템 보다 훨씬 구축하기 쉽기 때문에 Extranet의 수요는 점점더 확산되고 있는 추세이다. 즉 Intranet에서 Extranet으로 기업의 정보 시스템이 확대되기 시작했다. 그러나 Extranet은 Intranet과는 달리 영업데이타가 공용 통신 회선을 타고 전송된다든지 다른 회사의 사용자가 사내 서버에 액세스해 들어오기 때문에 반드시 고려돼야 할 과제가 보안(Security) 문제이다. 즉 어떤 거래에 대한 데이터의 전달과정에서의 변조 및 누락이 없었는지 거래자가 거래사실을 부인하지 못하게 하는 조치, 혹은 제3자가 거래내용을 도청하지 못하게 하는 조치와 내부에 보관된 정보를 허가받지 않은 사용자가 알지 못하게 한다든지 하는 조치가 반드시 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 Web기반 CALS시스템 구현에 있어 보안성을 확보하기 위하여 내부 정보보호를 위한 미들웨어 구현, 인증 및 접근제어를 위한 Proxy구현 기술, 인증 및 데이터 보호를 위한 암호화 기술등을 확보하여 이에 대한 시제품의 개발과 구현에 관해 알아보고자 한다.

초고속 통신망의 확대 적용으로 인터넷의 빠른 성장과 함께 음성과 비디오 그리고 데이터를 통합하고자 하는 노력이 시도되고 있다. VoIP(Voice over IP)는 IP를 이용하여 음성과 데이터를 패킷 형태로 통합하여 실시간으로 전송하는 기술이다[1]. 패킷 네트워크에서 VoIP 시그널링 기술을 이용하면 망 자원으 효율적 이용 및 PSTN에 가까운 음질 그리고 인터넷과 연계한 다양한 음성서비스 지원이 가능하다. 콜센터에서도 VoIP를 사용하게 됨에 따라 VoIP망에서의 녹취 시스템이 필요하다. VoIP 녹취 시스템은 상담원과 고객 간의 통화 내용을 자동으로 녹음하여 보관함으로써 고객의 요구사항을 명확하게 파악할 수 있으며 녹취 데이터의 통계 자료 제공으로 효율적인 관리가 가능하고, 선택 녹취, 스케쥴링 녹취, 상담원의 평가 자료를 제공하여 고객 관리의 질적인 향상을 지원한다. 본 논문에서는 성능에 큰 영향을 주지 않고 기존의 VoIP 녹취 시스템의 문제점을 해결한 에이전트를 포함한 VoIP 녹취 시스템을 제안한다.
