A New Method for Imputation of Missing Genotype using Linkage Disequilibrium and Haplotype Information (결측치가 존재하는 유전형 자료에서의 연관불균형과 일배체형을 사용한 결측치 대치 방법)

  • In this paper, wc propose a now missing imputation method for minimizing loss of information linkage disequilibrium-based and haplotype-based imputation method, which estimate missing values of the data based on the specificity of Single Nucleotide Polymorphism(SNP) genotype data. Method for imputing data is needed to minimize the loss of information caused by experimental missing data. In general, missing imputation of biological data has used major allele imputation method. but this approach is not optima]. 1'his method has high error rates of missing values estimation since the characteristics of the genotype data are not considered not take into consideration the specific structure of the data. In this paper, we show the results of the comparative evaluation of our model methods and major imputation method for the estimation of missing values.

Studies on the Lipid Components in Sweetfish from Korea-1 Comparison of the contents of total lipid components (한국산 은어의 지질성분에 관한 연구-1 총지질성분의 비교)

  • This study was carried out to compare the difference of proximate composition and total lipid components by size and various tissues in sweetfish(Plecoglossus altivelis). Lipid contents of the small and large sweetfish in viscera were $43.2\%\;and\;52.8\%$, respectively. Total lipid contents of the small and large sweetfish were consisted of $3.84{\sim}46.90g/100g$ neutral lipid, $0.86{\sim}4.38g/100g$ phospholipid, respectively. In fatty acid compositions of total lipid, sweetfish showed higher content in saturates such as 16:0, 18:0($43.78{\sim}48.29\%$), and lower content in polyenes such as 18:2n-6, 22:6n-3($13.13{\sim}17.10\%$), and the large sweetfish was somewhat higher in ratio of polyenes compared with the small one. The major fatty acids were 16:0, 18:1n-9, 16:1n-7, 18:2n-6, 22:6n-3, 18:0 and 14:0, in order.

A Comparison of Body Shape Changes Between Deep Tissue Massage and Illite-Combined Deep Tissue Massage - Focusing on women in their 30s - (딥티슈마사지와 일라이트병행 딥티슈마사지의 체형변화 비교 -30대 여성을 대상으로-)

  • This study aims to put forth an efficient way of improving body shapes by examining the effects of deep tissue massage and illite-combined deep tissue massage on body shape changes, and identifying body shape changes when applying each method. This study targeted twenty women in their thirties, and ten separate subjects were placed in different groups. Then deep tissue massage and illite-combined deep tissue massage were performed once a week, for a total of eight weeks. Moire Topography was applied before the experiments, four weeks later and eight weeks later to compare changes in spinous process inclination, shoulders and hips. The data collected were analyzed using SPSS v. 21.0, and the study results are as follows. In relation to general characteristics of the subjects, professionals occupied the highest proportion of them, and 90% of them were married. Here, 77.8% of them had experience in giving birth, and 78.6% of them chose natural birth. In addition, 57.1% of the subjects holding a majority had two children. When measuring spinous process inclination, shoulders and hips in the illite-combined deep tissue massage group and in the deep tissue massage group before the experiments, the illite-combined deep tissue massage group showed somewhat higher values in every area than the deep tissue massage group, but no statistically significant differences were not found, which means the homogeneity existed between them. When comparing body shape changes between the two massage methods, there were significant differences(p<.05, p<.01), because the illite-combined deep tissue massage group showed a much higher decline in spinous process inclination, shoulders and hips than the deep tissue massage group. This implies illite-combined deep tissue massage was more effective in improving body shapes than deep tissue massage. Therefore, illite-combined deep tissue massage is considered to be helpful in improving body shapes, and it is anticipated that this massage method can be used in relevant fields, including the skin care industry.

Inhibitory Effort of the N-terminal GST on the Tautomerase Activity of Macrophage Migration Inhibitory Factor (GST 융합 시스템에서 나타나는 macrophage migration inhibitory factor의 tautomerase 활성 저해에 관한 연구)

  • Macrophage migration inhibitory fartor (MIF), known as a cytokine, is a multifunctional protein that is ubiquitously expressed in a variety of cells and tissues; however, enzymatic function of MIF still remains elusive in cells. In this study, we assessed details of the tautomerase activity of MIF. We established rapid purification condition for MIF by using pGEX system and compared the L-dopachrome tautomerase activity of GST-MIF, tMIF, and MIF. The results show that GST (glutathione S-transferase)-epitope tag or N-terminal amino acids flanking the essential $P^{2}$ almost completely abrogated L-dopachrome tautomerase activity of MIF. Subsequently, to determine whether the N-terminal tags have effects on oligomerization of MIF, protein cross-linking products were analyzed on $15\%$ SDS-PACE. The result demonstrates that N-terminal tags are dispensable for the formation of MIF's homooligomers. Thus, the results imply that exposure of If containing hydrophobic pocket in the active site is critical for L-dopachrome tautomerase activity of MIF. In addition, our study suggest that the MIF's tautomerase activity might be influenced by interacting with cellular partners.
