Design and Implementation of Interface System for Swarm USVs Simulation Based on Hybrid Mission Planning (하이브리드형 임무계획을 고려한 군집 무인수상정 시뮬레이션 시스템의 연동 인터페이스 설계 및 구현)

  • Defense fields widely operate unmanned systems to lower vulnerability and enhance combat effectiveness. In the navy, swarm unmanned surface vehicles(USVs) form a cluster within communication range, share situational awareness information among the USVs, and cooperate with them to conduct military missions. This paper proposes an interface system, i.e., Interface Adapter System(IAS), to achieve inter-USV and intra-USV interoperability. We focus on the mission planning subsystem(MPS) for interoperability, which is the core subsystem of the USV to decide courses of action such as automatic path generation and weapon assignments. The central role of the proposed system is to exchange interface data between MPSs and other subsystems in real-time. To this end, we analyzed the operational requirements of the MPS and identified interface messages. Then we developed the IAS using the distributed real-time middleware. As experiments, we conducted several integration tests at swarm USVs simulation environment and measured delay time and loss ratio of interface messages. We expect that the proposed IAS successfully provides bridge roles between the mission planning system and other subsystems.

  • The principle of Effective Based Operation applied to the Korean Theater resulted in measurable effects to win the minimum battle. Based on the finding, this study recommends the effect analysis methodology under the V-C interoperability system to acquire a weapon system. This method is followed as below; to confirm the effect data on the organized weapon system, to set MOE, MOP and effect considering the purpose of the analysis, to apply the appropriate operational concept and scenario on the weapon system, and then the available C Model is after action reviewed, adjusted, and given feedback. The V-C interoperability system enables to perform the real-time combat experiment under the virtual synthesized battlefield circumstances. The defensive battle organization and displacement of the future anti-tank guided weapon system was considered in the modeling process. Scenario was written, which encompasses company-level units and the battalion-level operation. Then the available AWAM was embodied and effect-analyzed, which formed the foundation of SBA.

  • In the M&S filed, The Battle Lab is available for acquisition, design, development tool, validation test, and training in the weapon system of development process. Recently, the Battle Lab in the military of Korea is still in an early stage, in spite of importance of battle lab construction. In the environment of network centric warfare, a practical use of the M&S which is connecting live, virtual and constructive model can be applied to all field of System Engineering process. It is necessary thar the Battle Lab is not restricted by time and space, and is possible for the technical implementation. In this paper, to guarantee the interoperability of live and virtual simulation, virtual simulators connect live simulators by using the tactical data link. To guarantee the interoperability of virtual and constructive simulation, both virtual simulators and constructive simulators use the RTI which is the standard tool of M&S. We propose the System that constructed the Air Defence Battle Lab. In case of the approach of target tracks, The Air Defence Battle Lab is the system for the engagement based on a command of an upper system in the engagement weapon system. Constructive simulators which are target track, missile, radar, and launcher simulator connect virtual simulators which are MCRC, battalion, and fire control center simulators using the RPR-FOM 1.0 that is a kind of RTI FOM. The interoperability of virtual simulators and live simulators can be guaranteed by the connection of the tactical data links which are Link-11B and ATDL-1.

  • ECS is a control device so that the warship can perform the mission stably by controlling and monitoring the entire propulsion system. As the recent provisions of the warship, it's propelling system is complicated than past, as the demand performance and mission of the warships are diverse. In accordance with the complicated propulsion system configuration, the demand for automatic control function of the ECS is increasing for convenient and stable propulsion system control for convenient and stable. As a result, verification of ECS stability and reliability is required. In this paper, we develop an interlocking signal simulator for verifying ECS control logic and communication protocol for warship with CODLOG propulsion systems. The simulator developed was implemented to simulate a signal of gas turbine, propulsion motors, diesel generator and 11 kinds of auxiliary equipment. The reliability of ECS was verified through the ECS communication program and the I/O signal static test with the simulator.

  • 인터넷의 등장은 세계를 초단위 정보 소통 영역으로 묶어 정보가 사회를 주도하는 형태로 발전시켰듯이, 미래 전쟁 양상도 정보가 전쟁의 승패를 결정하는 네트워크중심전(NCW)으로 발전되고 있으며, NCW의 핵심은 무기체계간 상호운용성이다. 무기체계간 상호운용성을 확보하기 위해서는 표준화된 정보를 활용해서 연동하는 중요하며, 우리 군은 무기체계간 연동을 위해 연동메시지인 KMTF를 활용하고 있다. 그러나 현 KMTF 표준은 메시지구조(message frame)만을 제시하고 세부적인 메시지는 정의하지 않아 각 체계 개발자가 나름대로 메시지를 정의함으로써 중복된 메시지를 각 체계별로 관리하고 있고, 동일한 메시지를 다른 방식으로 적용하는 부작용이 발생할 수 있으며, 체계간 연동을 위해 별도의 변환기를 개발해야 하는 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 첫째, 미군 메시지포맷인 USMTF를 벤치마킹하여 무기체계에 공통 적용이 가능한 공통메시지 설계방안을 제시하며, 둘째, 메시지 생명주기 관리 및 메시지 추가등록 절차 관리를 위한 KMTF 표준 관리 절차를 제시하고, 셋째, 개정된 메시지 규격에 맞는 KMTF 관리도구 개발의 방향을 제시한다.

광대역 통합망에서의 연동 이슈

  • 광대역 통합망은 음성 위주의 통신 영역을 넘어 서로 다른 품질 및 대역폭의 서비스들을 제공할수 있는 통신과 방송 및 인터넷을 통합한 하나의 인프라로 정의되고 있다. 이러한 개념은 이용자의 연결성 확대를 위해, 다수의 사업자간서비스와 망 연동을 위한 상호 연동규격, 접속규격 등 연동 체계, 기술 기준의 개발등 다양한 분야에서의 기술적 고려가 필요하다. 본 고에서는 연동을 위한 기술적 요구사항 및 추진 내용 등을 살펴보고 통합망에서의 서비스를 위한 연동 규격의 범위 및 추진 방향 등을 살펴본다.

  • A Military L-V-C system consists of distributed complex systems integrating Live systems working on physical wall-clock time, Virtual systems ruled by virtually pseudo realtime events on a computer, and Constructive systems only depending on the causal relationship between the continuous events. Recently many needs for L-V-C training systems are increasing in order to achieve the maximum training effects with low costs. While theoretical/logical researches or only partially interworking technologies have been proposed, there are few perfect interworking architectures for totally interoperating L-V-C systems in world-wide. In this paper, we design and develop a novel interworking architecture based on data centric middleware for the consistent global time with the same states on the entire L-V-C data and events by means of integrating the heterogeneous distributed middleware standards of each L-V-C system. In addition, simulated L-V-C systems based on real systems will be used for the efficiency and performance of the developed interworking architecture.

LVC-Interoperation Development Framework for Acquiring High Reliable Cyber-Physical Weapon Systems (고신뢰 사이버-물리 무기체계 획득을 위한 LVC 연동 개발 프레임워크)

  • In this paper, we present a development framework for acquiring intelligent but complex cyber-physical weapon systems based on modeling and simulation development tools for cyber-physical systems, EcoSUITE. We introduce EcoPOD that models weapon systems and EcoSIM that provides constructive simulation environment for interoperating the weapon model to be developed with other weapon models. To develop cyber-physical weapon system based on LVC interoperation, an interoperation architecture and an interface technique for a live and a virtual system that is compliant with the interoperation architecture. By expanding EcoSuite, we provide LVC-based development framework for interoperating a real system, a human-interactive interface system, and simulation models and validate it with a case study.

  • 지휘 통제 자동화 체계는 군의 현대화를 위해서는 반드시 필요한 체계이며, 다양한 기능들이 복합된 매우 복잡한 체계이다 체계의 완전한 성능을 발휘하기 위해서는 다른 많은 체계들과 복합 연동 운용되어야 하는 특성이 있다. 이 모든 체계들은 기술 집약적 고가의 체계들이기 때문에 이 체계들을 동시에 개발, 구축하기는 곤란하므로 체계의 효용성, 경제성등을 분석하여 국가적 차원에서의 철저한 우선순위를 결정하여 구축해나가야 할 것이다

  • 현재 해군에서는 기존 전투함에서 사용 중인 IFF Mode 4 를 대체하여 IFF Mode 5 를 도입할 계획을 갖고 있다. IFF Mode 5 기능을 사용하기 위해서는 IFFMode 5 설치뿐만 아니라 IFFMode 5 와 연동을 수행하는 기존 전투함의 전투체계 변경도 필요하다. 하지만 기존 전투함의 전투체계를 변경할 경우 개발 비용과 개발 기간이 크게 증가하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이를 완화시키기 위한 방안에 대해서 프로토타입을 통해 검증했던 프로젝트를 소개하고, 기존의 전투체계를 변경하지 않는 방식으로 IFFMode 5 와 연동을 수행할 수 있는 게이트웨이 설계 방안을 제시한다.
