Decoupling Vector Control for a High-Speed Synchronous Reluctance Motor (고속 동기 릴럭턴스 전동기의 비간섭 벡터제어)

  • In the high speed range for salient type synchronous reluctance motor, the effect of iron loss can not be negligible. In this paper, under he assumption that stator iron loss is generated from the equivalent eddy current in the stator, we derive the voltage equations including iron loss from the model that is added the equivalent iron loss in the equivalent inductance in series. The variation of iron loss is dependent on the increase of the operating frequency change for he worse a performance of the vector control system. As there is cross coupling between the d and q axes, it is hard to apply the vector control to the proposed model. Hence, we propose a decoupling current controller for including the effects of iron loss, And we show that the proposed vector control scheme achieves the desired performances through simulation results.

  • Maximum efficiency control scheme in a stator flux-oriented induction motor drive is proposed for minimizing input dc power. Flux level is decreased in steps for searching the minimum input dc power. In addition, Torque equation, slip angular frequency, and decoupling compensation current considering iron loss resistance is used. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 본 논문에서는 철손과 와류손이 고려된 등가회로를 이용하여 고속 영구자석 전동기의 정밀한 특성분석을 수행하였는데, 철손과 와류손으로 구성된 자기적인 손실을 등가저항으로 취급하고 이들이 포함된 등가회로를 이용하여 등가 손실저항과 정격 전류를 수치해석으로 계산하는 방법을 제안하였다.

  • This paper presents the d-q axis equivalent circuit model of an interior permanent magnet (IPM) which includes the iron loss resistance. The model is implemented to be able to run in real-time on the FPGA-based HIL simulator. Power electronic devices are removed from the motor control unit (MCU) and a separated controller is interfaced with the real-time simulated motor drive through a set of proper inputs and outputs. The inputs signals of the HIL simulation are the gate driver signals generated from the controller, and the outputs are the winding currents and resolver signals. This paper especially presents iron loss prediction which is introduced by means of comparing the torque calculated from d-q axis currents and the desired torque; and minimizing the torque difference. This prediction method has stable prediction algorithm to reduce torque difference at specific speed and load. Simulation results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed methods.

  • 본 논문에서는 일반적인 단상유도기의 권선 배치를 가지는 경우, 즉 주권선과 보조권선의 배치가 임의의 각을 가지는 경우에 대하여 등가회로를 구성하였다. 이때, 등가회로를 이용하여 최적 효율 확보 방법으로 평형 운전 및 고정자 동손 최소화를 적용하였다. 설계된 전동기에 대해 2차원 유한요소해석을 수행함으로써 비직교 권선 분포 설계 시 자기적 평형상태와 이로 인한 철손 및 회전자 저항손 저감 및 효율 개선 효과를 검증하였다.

  • We designed and constructed the high frequency magnetic characteristics measurement system to measure core loss, B-H curve, permeability of toroidal ferrite core, amorphous core and various materials for high frequency application. The system consists of universal equipments such as digitizing oscilloscope, signal generator, power amplifier, PC in order to make upgrade easily. The power source is composed of waveform synthesizer and power amplifier ranging from DC to 20 MHz, and output signal H and B from sample core are digitized by oscilloscope with sampling rate 1 GS/ s per channel. Computer controls power source and oscilloscope, reads data from oscilloscope, displays analyzed waveform and saves data with file. The entire procedures finishes within few seconds.

  • 본 논문은 고속 전동기의 효율 개선을 위한 재료로서 많은 관심을 받고 있는 연자성 분말(Soft Magnetic Composite, SMC)을 적용한 고속 2상 4/2 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기 설계 및 SMC 재질이 효율 특성에 미치는 영향 분석에 대한 연구이다. 고속 전동기의 효율 개선을 위한 재료로써 많은 관심을 받고 있는 SMC는 자계적으로 등방성을 띠며, 절연 코팅이 되어 있는 철 분말들로 구성되어 있어 높은 주파수에서 전기 강판 대비 높은 전기 저항으로 와전류 손실을 최소화 할 수 있으며 분말을 압분하여 형상을 만들기 때문에 자유로운 3차원 설계 및 제작이 용이하고 제조 시 재료 소비의 절감과 재활용이 가능한 장점이 있다. 그러나 전기 강판 대비 낮은 비투자율, 낮은 기계적 강도, 저주파 대역에서 높은 철손 특성의 단점을 가지고 있어 SMC를 이용한 전자계 구조 설계 시 낮은 비투자율 특성과 뛰어난 와전류 손실 저감 특성 사이의 균형을 고려할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 전기 강판을 사용하는 일반적인 2상 4/2 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기와의 비교를 통해 SMC 재질 적용이 정적 토크 및 효율 특성에 미치는 영향을 비교분석하여 설계를 진행하였다.

  • This paper presents dynamic performance prediction using Matlab / simulink after parameter estimation of synchronous reluctance motor considering iron loss. Test motor is 3 phase SynRM with the segmental rotor, rating power is 0.175KW. Experiment equipment is consists of testing motor, dynamometer, vector invertor dynamocontroller, and power analyser. The stator iron loss and rotor iron loss are modelled by additional windings on three-phase winding axis. These windings are transformed into d-q axis, and are represented as equivalent eddy current windings. P-Q circle diagram method and single phase standstill method are used to measure motor parameters considering iron loss.

  • The use of soft magnetic materials have been increasing in the various industrial fields according to the increasing demand for high performance, automatic, miniaturing equipments in the recent our life. In this study, we investigated the effect of factors on the core loss and magnetic properties of electrical steel and soft magnetic composites. Furthermore, we reviewed the major efforts to reduce the core loss and improve the soft magnetic properties in the two main soft magnetic materials. Domain purification which results from reduced density of defects in cleaner electrical steels is combined with large grains to reduce hysteresis loss. The reduced thickness and the high electrical conductivity reduce the eddy current component of loss. Furthermore, the coating applied to the surface of electrical steel and texture control lead to improve high permeability and low core loss. There is an increasing interest in soft magnetic composite materials because of the demand for miniaturization of cores for power electronic applications. The SMC materials have a broad range of potential applications due to the possibility of true 3-D electromagnetic design and higher frequency operation. Grain size, sintering temperature, and the degree of porosity need to be carefully controlled in order to optimize structure-sensitive properties such as maximum permeability and low coercive force. The insulating coating on the powder particles in SMCs eliminates particle-to-particle eddy current paths hence minimizing eddy current losses, but it reduces the permeability and to a small extent the saturation magnetization. The combination of new chemical composition with optimum powder manufacturing processes will be able to result in improving the magnetic properties in soft magnetic composite materials, too.

  • Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) has become a popular choice in electric vehicle applications and so of due to their excellent power to weight ratio. To obtain maximum efficiency in these applications, this paper proposes the neural network control method. The controllable electrical loss which consists of the copper loss and the iron loss can be minimized by the error back propagation algorithm(EBPA) of neural network. The minimization of loss is possible to realize eHciency optimization control for the IPMSM drive. This paper proposes high performance and robust control through a real time calculation of parameter variation such as variation of back emf constant, armature resistance and d-axis inductance about the motor operation. Proposed algorithm is applied IPMSM drive system, prove validity through analysis operating characteristics con011ed by efficiency optimization control.
