A Conceptual Study of a Framework for Real-Time Railway Safety Monitoring and Control System Based on Safety Performance Monitoring Indicators (안전성과 모니터링지표 기반의 실시간 철도안전 감시제어 시스템의 프레임워크에 대한 개념 연구)

  • The government of South Korea has made great efforts in the area of railway safety management by means of a railway safety law and an integrated railway safety plan established in 2004 after the Daegu subway fire accident. However, after certain railway incidents, a reactive railway safety management system has been implemented that has led to fatal accidents caused by the collision, derailment, and fire every year. Hence, this study is intended to propose a framework that integrates data from distributed detection devices into a real-time railway safety monitoring and control system for proactive safety management. Furthermore, we will provide a future development direction for safety performance monitoring indicators to determine whether the railway safety monitoring and control system works effectively. The proposed framework is expected to be a cornerstone for the real-time railway safety monitoring and control system to be implemented in the future.

  • With the recent development of information and communication technology, there have been many attempts to apply various IT technologies in the railway field. Until now, the safety control system has been installed at the site and operated using actual data, but there is a problem that it is difficult to verify the function of the railway safety control system in that no accidents occur in real situations. In this study, accident data is generated randomly to verify that the safety control system is functioning properly, and to this end, simulation data is prepared according to the simulator, accident scenario and scenario. Real-time railway safety monitoring system collects and transmits data from interface devices to common protocol called DDS.

  • A railroad is used to a lot of area and it is an eco-friendly and an effective means of communication which is a transport for passengers and products. In recent years, the accidents caused by subway and railroad are cognate with people. We need to come up with preparing measures to avoid the accidents. In this paper, to prevent an accident developing and implementing a system which is a railroad management safety system is the purpose. The system is able to provide scalability for smart railroad safety service based on context aware information. Besides, it is able to furnish flexibility through the OSGi framework.

  • In this paper, we examine the MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) system in the point of mobile communication that is used for railway environment. First, under the radio environment, wireless channel characteristics are analyzed between moving train and base station, both assuming track side base stations and non-track side base stations. Next, the paper introduces the MIMO system which can be used to solve the problem of performance degradation in railway environment, and analyzes its performance in terms of channel capacity and diversity. We especially compares open-loop scheme with closed loop scheme at the diversity and analyses their performance according to antenna correlation. Finally, the we presents experimental result from the ESCORT project that was studied in railway environment with the MIMO system.

  • 철도에서의 정보제어시스템은 열차무선망을 제외하고는 지금까지 유선전송망에 대부분 의존하고 있으며, 철도선로를 따라 대용량의 전용회선을 포설할 수 있다는 측면에서 효과적으로 설치가 가능하고, 안전성과 신뢰성의 측면에서도 우수성이 입증되었다. 그러나, 정보화가 진전됨에 따라, 여객서비스나 철도시스템 제어기능의 강화 측면에서 전송계통의 유연화와 정보교환개소의 확대가 요구되고 있으며, 유선전송으로는 이러한 요구에 충분히 대응할 수 없게 되었다. (중략)

  • 최고속도 350km/h의 한국형 고속철도시스템은 안전보장과 사고예방을 위해서는 시스템 위험분석에 근거한 안전검증과 성능확인이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 고속철도 차량시스템 개발을 위한 시스템 개발요건과 위험도 분석에 근거한 안전성능요건을 근거로 하여, 차량시스템에 대한 일반 안전요건, 구조적 안전요건 및 핵심 장치별 안전요건으로 구성된 한국형 고속철도 차량시스템의 안전설계 요건분석 결과를 소개한다.

  • 수십년 간 주요 운송 수단의 한가지로 사용되고 있는 도시철도는, 사고 발생 시 큰 경제적 손실과 사회적 손실을 야기할 수 있으나, 사고의 주 원인 중 한가지인 도시철도 전력설비 고장에 대한 감시 및 진단 시스템은 적용되고 있지 않은 실정이다. 최근 이러한 전력설비 상태 감시 및 진단에 대한 필요성이 점차 커지게 되어, 도시철도 전력설비 수명예측 시스템 설계에 관한 연구 과제가 제안되어 현재 국토해양부와 건설기술평가원, 그리고 한국철도기술연구원의 주도 하에 수행되고 있다. 본문에서는 수명예측 시스템 설계에 필요한 도시철도 전력 시스템의 특성과 고장 사례를 조사하였으며, 각 도시철도 운영기관의 사용자 요구사항 설문 결과, 그리고 수명예측 시스템의 일부인 전력설비 감시진단 시스템 기초 설계 결과를 나타내었다.

  • 이 논문은 LS전선, 서울 메트로, 철도기술연구원(KRRI)이 공동으로 연구한 '도시철도 연계 EV 충전 시스템' 프로젝트와 LS전선, 환경공단이 공동 개발한 '전기 자동차 충전 인프라 구축 사업'을 바탕으로 내용을 구성 하였다. 전기 자동차 충전 인프라 시스템 구축은 크게 3가지 이슈 -전력 연계, 충전 시설, 충전기 운영 통신 시스템-가 있다. 전기 자동차 충전 시스템을 철도 전력 인프라망을 연계했을 때 얻을 수 있는 이점들, 충전 인프라 운영 시스템에 대한 실증 내용을 논하였으며 추가적으로 향후 계획도 포함되어 있다.

  • In this paper, we analyse DDS(Data Distribution Service) QoSs(Quality of Services) with experiments, which can control the network transmission quality provided by 'Object Management Group' DDS standard to satisfy the data transmission quality requirements of 'Real-time integrated railway safety monitoring and control system(RIRSMCS)'. 'RIRSMCS' is a system for collecting and analyzing data from various sensors at a railway field to predict and prevent the risk of potential railway accidents. Data transmission quality should be ensured for transmitting the collected data in real-time, accurately and stably for this system. Experimental results show that it is possible to ensure real-time, accurate and stable data transmission for monitoring and control of railway safety using DDS QoS.

  • In recent years, according to improvement of various vehicle instruments, railway also has been developed in various fields. As a result, to transmit accurate information to each railway system, the efficient communication system is required. In railway communication system, mitigation of wireless fading is very important. So, in this paper we introduced the cooperative relay channel model and cooperative relay scheme. Also we analyzed and simulated the cooperative relay scheme which is suitable for railway communication systems.
