Right Ventricular Perforation and Left Hemothorax by Permanent Transveneous Pacemaker Lead - Report of 1 Case- (영구 경정맥 심박조율기 도자에 의한 우심실 천공과 좌측 혈흉 -1예 보고-)

  • Bleeding due to cardiac perforation by endocardial pacemaker lead is a rare complication. We report one case of left hemothorax due to right ventricular perforation after the insertion of permanent transvenous pacemaker. Operative finding showed a pacing lead penetrating right ventricle, pericardium, and left pleura sequentially, but there was no evidence of hemopericardium.

  • 천공위치 안내 시스템은 천공작업 Hole의 정확한 위치를 추적하는 시스템이다. 천공작업의 정확성과 안정성, 그리고 장비 조작의 용이성을 위하여 범지구 위성 항법 시스템(Global navigation satellite system, GNSS)을 이용하여 지표면의 천공위치를 찾아주는 안내 시스템을 연구 개발하였다.

  • The drilling monitoring is a technique to assess rock mass properties by analyzing the mechanical quantities measured by drilling process. Since drilling survey can be conducted on real-time-basis for excavating blast holes or rockbolt holes, it may enables fast and quantitative prediction and evaluation of rock mass. Though a number of studies have been conducted on the drilling data, the selection of drilling parameters and numerical quantification of mechanical quantities or rock mass have not been well established yet. In this study, drilling tests were conducted with homogeneous rock specimen to identify drilling parameters and the relation of the drilling data. As a result, it is verified that above all drilling parameters, the percussion was the most important factor on the excavatability of hydraulic drilling.

Studies on the aeration improvement of inner bottle culture system during the mycelial culture of Flammulina velutipes (팽나무버섯의 균사배양 중 배양기 내부 통기성 개선)

  • Ventilation effects of bottles($1,100m{\ell}$) for culturing Flammulina velutipes on its mycelial growth and mushroom production were investigated. The degree of ventilation were controlled with hole positions, upper and under, and hole sizes in the bottle lids. The ventilation effects were measured with the contents of carbon dioxide, free sugars, chitin, moisture in the bottles and with the amount of produced mushrooms from the bottles. Carbon dioxide concentrations within the culturing bottles at exponential mycelial growth period vertex were relatively high in the bottles with lids without both a sponge and an aeration hole, and in those with a smaller hole. Free sugar contents in the mycelia were the highest in those with a 47mm hole on both sides, and in those with 26~33mm holes only underside. Chitin content was the highest in those with a 26mm hole only underside. On the other hand, the lids with 42mm~47mm holes on the both sides greatly lost water and decreased the mushroom production. In conclusion, the most efficient ventilation hole sizes on the lids for bottle($1,100m{\ell}$) cultivation of Flammulina velutipes using $1,100m{\ell}$ polypropylene bottle were 19mm on both sides of the lid and 26mm on only underside. They produced more mushrooms than the control by 6~9 %.

Acute Appendicitis in Children and Adolescents: Factors Associated with Perforation and the Causative Organism (소아 청소년의 급성 충수염: 천공과 연관된 인자 및 원인균)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to determine which factors are related to perforated appendicitis. We also conducted a survey to identify the causative organism. Methods: From January 2011 to December 2014, 569 pediatric patients (322 male) younger than 19 years old who underwent an appendectomy due to acute appendicitis at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital were enrolled. Patients' medical records were reviewed retrospectively to determine their clinical manifestations, laboratory and imaging results, and pathogens. Results: About 127 patients (22%) had perforated appendicitis. The rate of perforated appendicitis in preschool, late childhood, and adolescent ages were 50%, 27%, and 16.8%, respectively. The risk factors of perforation were high C-reactive protein levels and the presence of appendiceal fecalith (P<0.001). Of the 24 samples of peritoneal fluid and periappendiceal pus that were collected intraoperatively, 16 were culture positive. The most common pathogen was Escherichia coli (n=10), and others were Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus spp., and Staphylococcus spp. Conclusions: The perforation rate of appendicitis among patients younger than 5 years old was 50%, and this decreased in proportion with age. Clinicians should be aware of the possibility of perforation when patients with appendicitis have high C-reactive protein levels or the presence of appendiceal fecalith on imaging.

  • The plastic culture bottle cap types and accumulated concentration of carbon dioxide, media humidity in the process of medium culture and yield were observed in Pleurotus ostreatus 1,100ml bottle in Iksan, Jeollabuk-do, Korea, during 2011. The concentration of carbon dioxide in the process of medium culture was the highest after 6~11days cultivation irrespective of cap sizes and types. The upper-under 19~38mm perforation hole and under 26~47mm perforation hole of caps in the 1,100ml bottle were best condition for cultivation of mushroom and increased fruit body, 11.4~23.8% and 6.5~17.9%, respectively. However, the upper-under 33mm perforation hole of fruit body were decreased 23.8%. Also it was weak, lose vitality and the lower of biologically activity substance because the upper medium humidity was too dry.

  • 천공 요소는 유체 기계의 흡기계나 배기계의 소음기에 널리 사용되고 있으며, 스치는 유동 (grazing flow)과 통과하는 유동 (cross flow)을 접하게 된다. 천공 요소의 임피던스는 소음기의 음향학적인 특성에 영향을 미치게 된다 본 연구에서는 유동이 임피던스에 미치는 영향을 고려하기 위하여, 실험을 통하여 얻은 임피던스 값을 유동 레지스턴스 (flow resistance)와 종단 보정 비 (end correction ratio)로 나타내고, 스트롤 수 (Strouhal number)로 무차원 화하여 분석하였다 이를 난류를 고려하여 제안된 선행 임피던스 모델들과 비교하여 난류가 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

  • In general, a product consists of one or more parts. Different parts of a product can perform the same function. According to "the design hypothesis of an integrated part", parts having the same function may be integrated into one part. A part can also perform more than one function. The form or material characteristic of a part may perform its function. In this study, we develop a method for defining the functions of components and for integrating parts having the same functions. We have successfully integrated some parts of a three-hole punch using the proposed method. The results satisfy axiomatic design.

Analysis of Drifter's Critical Performance Factors Using Its Hydraulic Analysis Model (드리프터 유압 해석모델을 활용한 성능격차 유발 인자 접근 사례)

  • Drifter is equipment which is hard to localize. Performance of prototype hasn't performed well compared to product of leading companies even though advanced foreign firm's product were dead copied. This study shows cases of approaching the factor which produces performance gap through drifter hydraulic analysis model which is core component of rock drill. Progression of procedure is following. 1) Securing reliability of the analysis model by comparing impact test result with analysis result. 2) Drawing a graph which indicates performance gap between prototype and drifter of advanced foreign firm by using analysis model. 3) Approaching the factor which produces performance gap with analysing variable of the analysis model. Software used for this analysis is SimulationX.

  • 자동차 및 유체기계의 흡기계나 배기계에 사용되는 소음기의 음향 성능은 전달손실로 기계성능은 배압으로 표현된다. 유체가 흐르는 관 사이의 임피던스 부정합을 이용하는 반사형 소음기의 경우, 내부 유로에 천공을 주어 음향 감쇠를 시키거나 유동을 안정시키는 경우가 많다. 본 연구에서는 동심관형 공명기의 내부 관에 존재하는 천공의 분포양상이 공명기 내부의 유동장에 어떤 영향을 미치며, 그 유동장의 변화에 따라서 소음기의 성능에 어떠한 영향을 미치게 되는지를 고찰하였다. (중략)
